Little Friends Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Charlotte, South Carolina

I am very sad to leave this review as I was once employed with Little Friends and continued to use their services with my fiancé after I left them. We have another agency we use more often because they’re more flexible and we haven’t had to deal with some of the changes Little Friends has made in reference to their key policy. Anywho, this last time we had someone come in to take care of our cats. We had someone else to take care of the rodents but they had something come up last minute. We asked our little friends sitter if he could take care of our rodents under the table, feed/water, (which is a big no-no from when I worked there but that’s between him and himself). He agreed, my fiancé left a nice tip and explained what the animals need. He didn’t give my rabbit any of the kale in the fridge and claimed that he “had to stop the cats from eating it” which is a huge load of Huey. The bag of kale was untouched. The guy barely cleaned the litter boxes and they did not have any dry food in their gravity feeder when my fiancé arrived home. It hurts my heart because I know how I would have handled the situation. They must be under new management because instead of hearing what we had to say, they only took the word of the sitter… even though we’ve been using them for years and I’m a former employee. It’s very sad to see a once great business have such little regard for their clients.

I love "Little Friends"!! We use their pet sitting services for our 4 ferrets. They always accommodate us no matter what time of the year we need them and customer service is phenomenal. It is extremely difficult to find a sitter for ferrets and not only a sitter but someone who is knowledgeable and experienced with them. Little Friends has put us in contact with "Dorris" and let me tell you she is absolutely awesome!! Dorris takes exceptional care of my fur babies when I'm away out of town and goes over and beyond. She is the only person I trust taking care of them. Big shout out to "Little Friends" and "Dorris"!!

Dale with Little Friends is truly an angel! We rescued our anxious terrier, Sasha, almost two years ago, and haven’t taken a trip without her before. We decided it was time to go on vacation and leave her home. We had her scheduled at a boarding facility, but about 4 days before our departure date I panicked and contacted Little Friends for in-home over night pet sitting instead and I am BEYOND glad that I did. They were able to fit us into their schedule and we set up a meet & greet with Dale before our departure date. She was so sweet with Sasha, so I knew she’d be in good hands. Dale sent us photos and updates twice a day. It took a little bit for Sasha to warm up to her (as expected) but after a day or two, Dale and Sasha became the best of friends! The photos warmed my heart. Having Dale watch Sasha truly allowed us to relax on our vacation and I cannot thank her enough for that. We will definitely be calling Dale with Little Friends any time we need help watching our Sasha.

I booked Little Friends on a short notice for my parents for the holiday weekend. The pet sitter, Chrys, was awesome! She updated with pictures and notes that made my parents feel at ease being away, since they had never left the dog with a sitter for a few days. Would recommend Little Friends to anyone!

Highly recommend Little Friends. We booked them last minute, and they were quick to respond and help us out. Christian, Kali, & Monique were super professional took great care of our two dogs. We got updates and pictures with each of their visits! Our dogs seemed to love having them! We will be using them again!

We have received excellent service every time. They send you photos and a little report from every visit which is really nice. Val takes wonderful care of my cat Schroeder when I am away. She is on-time, and texts photos of him. I feel like he is in great hands when I am gone. Also, the process of booking and payment is smooth.

Val at Little Friends is amazing. Whenever we leave for extended periods of time, Val always takes care of our cat. She is very clean, professional and consistent. We have a very shy cat that typically hides whenever someone new comes into our home, but she has recently been comfortable enough to come out to greet Val. Couldn't say enough good things about her.

We are very happy with the care provided our cats by Val at Little Friends. We moved to Charlotte two years ago and were fortunate to find LF when we needed pet sitting services. We've had a couple different sitters and we've been very happy every time. Val is our "usual" and we appreciate how thorough she is sending pictures from every visit and taking extra care like cleaning up kitty messes. :)

I couldn't ask for better care for my cat than what Val, with Little Friends, provides. She's gone out of her way at times to accommodate last-minute scheduling (even visiting my house during her vacation), and I never worry about my pet or my home, including my plants! What an incredible relief to know everything is cared for so well while we're gone.

A good, reliable place to have pet sit your dog or cat. I like that they try to send the same sitter when possible so that they are familiar with what you want and know get your pets. I'd imagine that this makes the experience less stressful for the animals as well. If your usual sitter isn't available, they'll do a consultation with a new sitter so that you can specify what you need them to do. Val has always done a great job and consistently goes above and beyond. She also genuinely enjoys spending time with my cats. It's very easy to schedule visits and they have always been good with last minute requests (though this isnt a guarantee). It's also nice to know that if my usual sitter has an issue or isn't available, there will still be someone to take care of your pets, unlike an independent sitter.

I highly recommend Val at Little Friends!!! She has taken excellent care of my cat Molly. She always provides a detailed update, leaves everything nice and clean, and has even gone out of her way to pick up some extra treats for Molly that I had run out of. I appreciate all the pictures I receive of Molly during my absence. She tends to hide when I am away, but not with Val which shows how comfortable she is with her. It is apparent how much Val cares for animals. Definitely request her to care for your fur babies!!!

Given how hard it can be to find a trustworthy and reliable petsitting service, I was very pleased to discover Little Friends (by word of mouth from another satisfied client). I had to hire Little Friends recently, twice, and am happy to report that everything proceeded even better than I could’ve hoped for. The sitter assigned to my house, Valerie Horton, was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Upon meeting her, it was immediately apparent that Val was an experienced animal lover and she put all my concerns to rest. Her daily reports on the feedings and waste upkeep were perfectly concise and often hilarious and the photos of my pets made me realize that she had it all under control. Coming back from an extended trip, I was pleasantly surprised to see how tidy everything at the house was. Most importantly, the fur babies (who loved Val’s presence) were 100% happy, well-fed, and, unexpectedly, the floor had clearly been vacuumed (and the trash taken out) with our delivered mail stacked in neat piles—Val went above and beyond. Nothing out of place at all, just perfect. What a relief to know that we now have Val in our corner for all future trips! I’ll be sure to request her by name in the future.

Val is such a great sitter. I have been working with Little Friends Pet Sitting for almost 2 year and I would highly recommend them, particularly Val. Whenever I need to go out of town, I feel confident that my "little baby" will be well taken care of. He really likes Val and I feel comfortable allowing her to have access to my house. If you are in need of someone to look after you little babies - you should ask for Val. I am sure the other sitters are excellent; but I have worked with Val for the longest time and I really like her!
