We have taken our pup to other doggy daycares before and none of them stood out to us like here does. The workers seem to truly love dogs and have outstanding patience. My pup loves coming here, so much that she pulls me to the door and tries to walk to the back on her own. Thank y’all for being so great!

Used to be great, change in management and staff brought it downhill. Had difficulty communicating with management to discuss concerns (one of which was a food discrepancy in if our dog was fed the right amount).

My puppy always has a blast when he goes! The staff is very friendly and it’s really easy to schedule his day visits and overnight/stays. The opportunity for bathing, nail-trimming, and training sessions are great as well. I just wish the hours were more conducive to my non-traditional work schedule.

I have been a long-term client of Camp Bowwow for two years. I was actually one of the only people bringing their dog to daycare at the onset of Covid. The staff has always been especially great and that is why I continued to use their services. I had not had any major issues until I returned from being away for three months and bringing my dog back to their daycare. Due to a change in management, I found their attitude to be very unprofessional and aggressively personal. There have been multiple situations where in the 15 years of using daycare facilities I have never experienced except for in the past three months. First I was forced to buy a collar at their store for my dog while he was a daycare there although during the previous times he was always allowed to use temporary collars they had on hand. Then I noticed they had raised the rates which is fine but the final straw was when I went to pick up my dog and due to Charlotte traffic arrived at a few minutes before their closing hours of 7 PM. I was harshly told that unless I pick up my dog by 630 from daycare he will be boarded. They claimed I I had been notified of this numerous times. I have no recollection of ever being told this. During all my time of using them I have never known this to be a policy. If you’re going to raise your rates and decrease the amount of daycare time by 30 minutes then update your website for hours of operation 7 AM to 6:30 PM; not 7 PM which is FALSE ADVERTISING. Also ensure that you have signs within the facilities stating such as I saw none. I had voiced my concerns to a few of the employees and simply asked to pass along the message. After the handling of threatening to have my dog be boarded, I did mention to a staff member I was considering no longer taking him there. Last week the gentleman who works the evenings was most helpful in rectifying the situation or so I thought. I was still reconsidering until I got an email from the Manager at 9 pm stating that I was not allowed to bring my dog anymore to daycare due to my complaints! They claim they had tried to resolve them multiple times with me which I have NO record of correspondence for the past three months. BEWARE if you’re going to use this daycare you should be aware of situations where if you voice any type of complaint it will be held against you, if you don’t pick up your dog by 630 they will be boarded even though it’s not clearly written or stated anywhere on site, You will be charge for a collar that is only used there, and if you share any complaints you will be sent an email instructing that they would like to part ways and not deal with you and insisting that they tried even though they didn’t. To me this is very aggressive and in an industry where small businesses are suffering especially during Covid it is sad to see that They would much rather be right and have the final say than be professional and take constructive criticism and work with the customer. I also was told I cannot bring my dog back because I gave them a rating of four out of 10 on their online survey. Well if you’re going to punish those that give you a poor rating don’t send out the survey! Aside from management, this daycare staff was excellent. I never formally wrote I would not take my dog there anymore nor feel the need to formally express complaints. I am unsure why I received an email stating that they are more than happy to part ways and not to bring my dog back. There are more than enough daycare services so BEWARE if you do choose this one, let it be known you will be involved in constant changes to the organization, brashness and poor customer service by management, increased rates with decreased hours of operation. And if you dare Voice your opinions, you will no longer be able to bring your dog. In my 15 years of bringing my dog to various daycare‘s I have never seen such poor handling of a service that is supposed to be based on dogs; not petty unprofessional drama. The only reason why they have good ratings is because there are reward incentives for customers. C

Camp Bow Wow has been wonderful - both at the Matthews and Metro locations. This past visit the Metro location was able to take our furry baby at the last minute when we had an unexpected trip out of town. When we returned, our dog was super tired (a great sign he had an awesome time), and they had left great notes on his eating, etc. We also appreciated pictures they took of him during his stay and their positive feedback on his interactions with the other dogs. The only downside of the entire process was waiting for staff to come to the front desk during drop off (it took around 5 minutes), but we understood it was a busy time of day. We look forward to the team at Camp Bow Wow caring for our dog in the future!

As always, very happy with Camp. As i have said before. When your dog runs in every time you know he is being treated well and loves it there.

My pup gets so excited to go to Camp Bow Wow Metro. I love that the employees there know him by name and treat him like a special guy upon his arrival. Have nothing but positive things to say about every Camp Bow Wow location experience so far.

I had been using the dog boarding from Camp Bow Wow for a while and they had been amazing with my dog, until a new manager called Olivia arrived. She is really unprofessional. I asked to talk to her supervisor but they always said it wasn't available.

Great Place! Great staff! Very comfortable bringing our Dog there. He generally goes once a week for socialization and has had extended stays overnight when we have had to travel! 10 out of 10 all around.

I took my American Staffordshire terrier (pit) here a couple months ago for day care. The front desk lady was very uncomfortable with him. She asked if she could touch him to take his collar off and I said yes she could touch him wherever. She was still too nervous and I had to do it. Then when I picked him up she didn’t know how to put a gentle lead on. Felt like my baby was discriminated against and the staff is untrained.

Been taking my dog to this company since she was a puppy! She’s 10 now and still loves it so much!!! Only downfall is they put your dog in the cage at 7pm if you get them boarded. They come back at 7am.

They were very responsive when I first tried to board my puppy and very patient when I tried to get all his vaccination requirements done which took 2-3 times, honestly. Finally, I have all of my puppy's vax requirements done, refill out the application and send in his medical records. This was 3 weeks ago-still no word from anyone at the company. When I called to inquire if they received it, I was hung up on. Not sure what the issue is but I went to Pet Paradise CLT (airport location) instead.

I have two very energetic pups. They love going here and being able to run and socialize. They get so excited every time we pull into the parking lot. By the time I get them back, they are tired and ready for a nap. Camp is such a good escape for them!!

Our dog loves this place! We went on our first vacation and had her stay here and she had a blast and we had peace of mind getting to watch her play all day. Definitely recommend Camp bow wow.

Easy to make reservations, good operating hours, good prices, big & clean facility and friendly staff. I also like how I can view my dog via app.

Juniper loves the staff and always has the best time at CBW Charlotte Metro. Doggy day care and her training class have been a GAMECHANGER for us!

This place was highly recommended by a reputable source so I took my furbaby there for 2.5 days when I had to leave town and couldn't take her along. Staff provides video monitoring of play time but the video quality is really poor and the camera is positioned so far away from the play area that I couldn't make out a lot that happened. I did notice though, that a couple of dogs used her like a riding toy. So, either she had a great time or something else was going on since my pup came back with a bite mark on her chest, an eye infection, and a bout of vomiting and diarrhea. The Vet bill came to $200 for antibiotic eye drops, an IV and anti-nausea meds. Sweet girl is on the mend.

This location has gone downhill since it’s been under new management. Prior to 2020 I would have given it 5 stars. We’ve been bringing all 3 of our dogs there since 2017. Jake, the old manager, was always there and took an active interest in the dogs and their parents. Since Jake’s been gone, there’s been nearly 100% turnover (we don’t recognize anyone anymore) and they even ran Kim, their head trainer, off. Jake and Kim were so amazing and the reason we kept taking our dogs there all these years. We haven’t even met the new manager and nobody is friendly or even tries to get to know you or or dogs, or engage you in conversation. We need to be able to get to know and completely trust people to feel comfortable leaving our fur babies in their care, so we will likely have to find another place to go.

We came in from out of town and told the staff we would be returning in a Sunday at / pm and they said no problem. When we got there they were closed for several hours and we had to wait to get our dog back. We were very unhappy with how we were mislead. Not using them again.
