Our coonhound, Lovie, had a growth removed from her upper front leg. Dr. Badger and her staff made the process something we didn’t need to be worried about. She was in and out on the same day, and she’s healing nicely. They have checked on her twice over the phone since the surgery. I love a hometown vet!

I LOVE my vets at West Ashley Vet Clinic.

We took our Yorkie to this vet and they were wonderful, however I can’t say the same about their boarding facility. After a week stay we picked up our dog and he had dried feces on his rear and eye junk so bad that he had a sore under it. We didn’t opt for the bath bc we normally give him a bath ourselves, but they never cared to clean his rear or attempt to get the eye junk out of his eyes. Our dog has horrible allergies and we left his medication with them. I’m not sure if they administered the drugs to him but his poor ears were soo badly red they almost looked purple from allergy irritation, which doesn’t happen if he’s taking his meds regularly. When we called the boarding facility and spoke to the asst manager, her undertone was very unprofessional and she cut me off while I was explaining to her our dogs condition when we picked him up. I would highly recommend taking your pets somewhere else, at least for boarding.

Get another opinion and or another Vet. Me and my family have used this Vet over the years because it was close to home . The cost and mistreatment and borderline malpractice over that time period has just built up too high. Find yourself a vet that cares about your dog , you and your wallet last. Not the other way around. The actual vet is never there and the pour staff is over their head. They will certainly take your money faster then you can blink.

Wonderful staff, very friendly and honest. I've been going to them for nearly 10 years, and never had a bad experience or felt taken advantage of. I refer everyone I know to them :)

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! My dog was in heaven with all of the petting and treats! She's asking to go back for another shot tomorrow.

Great service and staff! They have given us more information and service in our first visit than any other vet.

Recently, friends and I have agreed the practice has declined in care and service. *I have tried to address these issues with the clinic* by email, feedback surveys, and attempting to reach out to the manager who doesn’t have a direct phone/email. Clients need to be aware they are not taking action to improve. In summary: they provided few answers/options and *no follow up* when instructed to euthanize my pet. I agree it was getting to be time, but I’ve never felt so alone making that decision. With a new vet, I was given support and ability to provide 2 more months with supportive care. Since leaving WAVC, I've discovered one of my other senior pets is in congestive heart failure. The new vet said "they were surprised" she was given a clean bill of health 3 months prior. To be fair, this could have been a fluke, but given repeated issues, I’m unsure. During other appointments: they returned my pet in the carrier covered in urine and repeatedly misnamed my pets to the point I thought they were going to give the wrong medications at a dual appointment. My pets are my family and they deserve better care than West Ashely Veterinarian Clinic. I hope upon seeing this review they finally take action to correct their insufficiencies for the sake of their current clients.

We board our two dogs here occasionally and the staff is always attentive, polite, and helpful. It's nice to know our dogs are in good hands.

Shout out to Dr Eva Badger and her staff taking care of our fur babies during covid 19. Great process. You stay in your car they come out and get your pet and then the attending vet calls you so you can describe your pet's needs right from your car. They bring out your pet and any meds needed and then reception calls you for your credit card and they email the receipt. Dr Badger provided wonderful care to my 15+ year havanese suffering with colitis! Bravo and kudos to all!!!!! Many Thanks !!!!!

Their veterinarians are very thorough and they have an extremely attentive staff! My puppies received the best care, love and attention ever! Rather than being a dreaded chore, our trip to the vet's office was a fun and an exciting outing! I couldn't have asked for any better service. The entire staff was extremely loving and attentive! Great service and great people, my dog always comes back happy!

I am very pleased with the level of care my dog, Cash has received for the 2 years he has been a patient there. He normally only has to go for vaccines but a week and half after that this year we were back for an unknown condition. Turns out he strained his back. They took x-rays and put him on pain medication. He is almost good as new now. Just needed pain relief and rest. He is still hesitant to jump in my lap now but I no longer have to carry him up and down the stairs. Thank you West Ashley Vet!

Always so impressed with West Ashley Vet Clinic every time I take my senior cat. They are extremely attentive, have quick responses, short wait times, and excellent follow up. Dr. Van Liew in particular has taken amazing care of my cat. I highly recommend them.

This is the greatest vet clinic! We had a little scare with our puppy and they were able to get her in immediately for care and answered all of our questions with compassion and knowledge. The doctor personally called us to follow up the next day to make sure our pup was doing okay, which was really awesome! We're so happy we chose this place as our vet clinic. Thanks y'all :)

Great place and a wonderful staff

I absolutely love this place, and it's because of the people. They have the most caring and knowledgeable group of technicians, doctors, and front desk staff. Interestingly, they have separate cat and dog entrances to ease pet anxiety, but when I take one of each, I use the dog entrance because my cat has a dog. I suppose the biggest praise I could give them, and the reason I go back, is that my dog Dude absolutely loves going! He gets so excited to go to the vet, and that is an incredible thing. As a serious aside, years ago when the time came to put down my cat, I was beside myself when I made the appointment. They informed me that because she was a patient there that there would be no charge. I was incredibly impressed and to this day I couldn't possibly imagine being handed a bill at such a difficult time.

They are very friendly and awesome with our cats.

They are the worst. They play on people feeling about their pets and your wallet. Our cat had intestinal issues the quote ( after they asked about how much money we had through credit care) was 15k, 15k! We took the cat home administered a home remedy and the cat had a bowel moment within hours. Our cat is back to 100% without spending 15K. Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
