I always walk away from Oceanside knowing that my pet has received the most thorough and comprehensive care possible. Dr. Sullivan is a gem!

We have been taking our pet children to this Clinic for over 15 years. Their care and concern is incredible. We recommend them 100%. Very personable doctors and staff. The best in Charleston!

This place use to be good...now they barely talk to clients, you have to talk to them through an app, they are afraid to see people it is time to find a new vet!

I have a 16 year old dog who was very sick. I tried to get him an appointment and they had no room and sent me to an emergency clinic.' Do I paid top dollar to be treated poorly at a clinic that we had no history with. Then a couple of days later he wasn't better so I tried to get him into Oceanside once again. This was a Thursday morning and they had no available appointments for Thursday or Friday. In my opinion this is totally unacceptable. If the vet has no room to treat sick animals then they have failed. I do not recommend them.

If I could rate this Clinic a zero I would. Repeated Customer Service issues revolving around front desk help. On Two occasions during regular office hours my pet had minor emergency issues but was turned away by front office staff and was told they were " too busy to make time for me" I've never had a Vet previously that did not find a way work in Emergency situations. On several occasions (where time was of the essence) simple tasks were passed around the front office to the point the requests were completely messed up. They attempt to give the impression they can read the charts and understand what's going on. At first I trusted them but the errors began to happen so often I didn't trust the staff they would become annoyed when I would have to correct them. yes I became short with them on occasion because of the attitude. If they were competent then there would have never been any issues. The Vets were always good to work with and they were close to my home or I would have switched. I never once complained (until this post) to the Vets about their lack of incompetence. However, Today I received an email from the Vet saying the front staff had complained and they would no longer be servicing me as a client which was a complete surprise. On several occasions I was short with them due to the incompetence, but by no means ever yelled or cussed at anyone. Furthermore, the Vet never even bothered to talk to me as a client to see what the issues were. Instead, he sends a cowardly email like a teenage child would do. I guess this service example starts with the leadership after all. I am simply grateful at this point I didn't rely on them for something life threatening! On a side note a close friend had been getting some treatments at Oceanside for their pet with cancer. They ended up leaving and going to a Board certified specialist and learned a lot of things there that made them very upset with the treatments received at Oceanside. They did not have nice things to say about their experience either. Buyer Beware, I strongly recommend going elsewhere for your services.

I adopted my dog when he was an adult & has his previous-life-hauntings. 4 yrs later & he gets better every single month but I'm still always weary of him being skiddish with strangers. The employees here knew that, took their time & went out of their way to make him comfortable. He was waiting on them come back in the room by the end of the visit because he trusted them. They also answered every single one of my pet helicopter mom questions. Thanks so much for going the extra mile for my guy (& me)!

The best vet in town and staff is friendly and caring

My entire extended family in Charleston has been using Oceanside for over ten years. Dr. Lewandowski is our favorite, but all the vets and techs are great - they have such compassion for both the animals and their humans. The Oceanside clinic feels like family to us now. We are grateful they are so close by, but I'd definitely drive across town to use this vet clinic if we ever moved! They really care about your pets, but they also help you find the most affordable solutions and I really appreciate that! They've been seamlessly offering curbside (currently optional) for over a year and it's been an easy process to adjust to! The last few times we've scheduled one of the last appointments of the day to accommodate our work schedules, but they were usually running late because they get backed up due to animal emergencies. We don't care and just bring a book for waiting, but it's good to know that if you need the visit to be swift, schedule an appointment early in the day! Thank you Oceanside for taking such good care of our four fur children!

I am new to charleston area and was unsure where to take my dog. I found oceanside and have been blown away by their amazing service. I have been to three or 3 vets since I got my dog and none have been as amazing as the oceanside team. Easy to work with, never tried to upsell me and was always transparent. Can't beat that.

My dog and I are from Indiana and were spending a month on the beach when Jake developed an eye infection. They made room for us in their schedule and did a thorough exam with testing for a fair price, kept me informed at every step, and prescribed antibiotics as well as educated me in what to watch for as well as how to best support my dog to ensure full resolution without a return trip. They could not have done more! Thanks so much!

After moving from James Island, we still drive 30 minutes each way since the staff here are amazing. We love this clinic!

I love them so much. They’ve always been there for us! And never make us feel ashamed when somethings up or late with the doggies. Callie really went above and beyond helping me figure out if we had registered our names to the microchip for our rambunctious doggie who likes to venture out the yard. She even offered to call for me when I told her how stupidly distracted I was and that was above and beyond !! I did call because that would’ve been ludicrous but she is just so friendly. And also convinced me to do the yearly blood work because she does it for her pets too and was able to correct elevated kidney levels. Just such a genuinely kind, knowledgeable and caring staff. Huge kudos to Dr. Sullivan who spent a great deal of time providing updates on our pets. Can’t recommend enough! The curbside is so efficient I like it better than wrestling my pet inside :)

Love this vet, we have used them for almost two years now and they are amazing!

We are new to the area. Last week my dog had a severe colitis episode. The vet was able to squeeze in a same day appointment, and gave my dog meds fluids and a general exam all for a very affordable rate. My dog is doing great and I will definitely use this vet moving forward!

Been going there for more than 10 years. Staff is wonderful, caring people. A bit more expensive than other Vets, but you get what you pay for!

Dr. Borakove and the entire staff were AMAZING! They are quick, efficient, professional, kind, and compassionate. I completely trust that they have our dogs best interests at heart!

My mother had to put her dog down everyone was so sweet and understanding of the circumstances one staff member even shared his personal story of when he had to go through the exact same experience which was very helpful and allowed my mom to accept her decision

I just started bringing my Senior Dog there and they have been amazing! She is super scared of vets and they take the time to let her come to them and don't push her out of her comfort zone while still getting everything needed done. Highly Recommend!

We love Oceanside and Dr. Sullivan! They have been great with our pup and he is so comfortable there. He unfortunately has had to go often because of a condition he has and he is always greeted with love and cuddles. I highly recommend!

When my dog was exhibiting severe back pain I called my regular vet during regular hours and was told to take him to the emergency clinic. I then called Oceanside and they said to bring him right over. I'm not a fan of waiting in the parking lot while my fur baby is inside but Oceanside was very good on communication. They took him right in and called me on the phone with updates and to explain possible tests and costs. Dr. Sullivan spent a good deal of time explaining her findings and his treatment. On his 2 week check up we also asked about his skin and they discovered he had a double bacterial and fungal skin infection. Again Dr. Sullivan was great communicating about the condition and treatment. Although we get a military discount at our other vet we are not going back to our previous vet clinic. We're sticking with Oceanside.

They are very professional and just as kind and friendly. They have looked after 2 of our pets and they love them too.
