Not sure why they bother with appointments when they make you wait for over an hour. So unprofessional.

Although they have one of the best Veterinarian I have had dealt with, the past few times I have been in for care for my pets were a very bad experience. I brought my 4 year old in for a well visit and waited well over an hour for my visit. I do understand that emergencies happen, so I was forgiving of this. Less than a month later I arrived 15 minutes early with my 15 year old dog for an appointment for a blood draw as is required for him to continue on his medications that he requires for arthritis. He is pretty cripple without them. We sat in the waiting room where after about 15 minutes a very large dog was released from day care and came directly at my old guy and bit him. That was pretty traumatizing and one of the techs checked him. Fortunately, there were no breaks in his skin however he was visibly shaken. I waited another 30 minutes while several vet techs and then the vet on staff were gathering around and chatting with folks who were picking up their pets from day care. This was just unacceptable to me. I chose to leave and informed the front desk attendant that I expect to be allowed a refill on my old guy's meds until I can find a new vet and transfer him over. I have been bringing my many dogs to RIAMC for over 15 years and I will not come back. It is shocking to me that anyone would treat an old guy like that. The new management of this facility is very visible in the culture and the conduct of the staff, excluding one very fine Veterinarian.

Very caring people. Always clean and appointments are on time, not like my last vet. When my dog needed surgery they told me what to expect every step of the way and called to check on her. Couldn't be happier with the treatment my girl always receives.

My dog loves 4 Paws! He has been going here for years so he’s done it all: vet services, daycare, grooming and boarding. It’s like his second home away from home. Is it inexpensive? Nope but you get want you pay for. My fur baby is worth every penny.

Boarded our two cats in preparation for a move. Was surprised to discover they charge by the calendar day as I picked them up at 8:00 am and had to pay for that at full day. One carrier was missing its towel, I had to request they go back and get it. Then when I asked for the medical records we’d left with them it was treated as a major inconvenience. I can only hope my pets were treated more professionally.

We have taken our cats here for years. Last year, during COVID, our older cat got very sick. RIAMC did their best, and Dr. Rogoff was amazing with her care, including phone check-ins and emergency visits. Unfortunately, we had to put her to sleep when her kidneys failed -- the staff were so sensitive and caring through that awful day. We even got a lovely card personally signed by everyone in the office in the mail a few days later. So appreciated it!

I have been taking my dog here for a year now. Chloe loves them, what’s even better they truly love Chloe. This is truly how veterinarians should be. They don’t try and up sell you, they give your fur any the attention they need to help build a social environment. They are also very convenient I leave our CBD store at 1845 post rd and I’m there in minutes. Thank you and Chloe says hi.

Not all but a fair amount of staff have Terrible communication regarding important information such as procedures, biopsy results and masses or tumors that were found to monitor (has happened twice within a year now) and can give you attitude at the drop of a hat, as demonstrated in some of their unprofessional responses to the previous reviews . Additionally, the lack of courtesy to call those who have appts when they are backed up is astounding (which has been often - we have waited 25 -50 minutes before our dog was even allowed in). We have been told they are overbooked , or short staffed- which I understand happens , but a call ahead would be appropriate. We have found a new vet and scheduled an appointment .

The staff of this office are unprofessional and inefficient. Took my dog for an appointment and they took over two hours with no updates or communication whatsoever. I had to go stand in front of the building’s door to try to talk to someone. Four staff members standing at the front desk and all of them pretended not to see me. Three hours waiting outside in the parking lot for an update. When I finally get a call they say they’re still going to take some time. It is ridiculous. Horrible service. It’s not the first time this happens but you give the benefit of the doubt that they might be super busy but this is the third time. Last December my dog was boarding here and when I picked him up they say said his bed was in the washer, then they brought the wrong bed and said they could find my dog’s. So where was he sleeping the whole time? Horrible service for such expensive prices. Never coming back.

You guys diagnosed my dog incorrectly because you failed to take xrays and went by whatever you heard on the stethoscope. This resulted in having to take him to the ER where they properly drained 250ML of fluid from his lungs. He is now dying of cancer. You’re welcome for the $150 you took from me for doing absolutely nothing. I wouldn’t take a pet frog here. I would like to add I was sent here specifically for an X-ray as my place’s machine was down. I was told one wasn’t needed because it was for sure his heart murmur. The ER vet confirmed this was not in any way whatsoever the cause of his problems at this time.

I've been taking my dog bruno here for boarding, grooming and all his veterinarian needs ever since I've had him. I love this place and so does bruno, infact when im heading there in the truck he perks right up and starts going crazy because he knows where hes going. The staff and vets are the best and bruno loves them. The staff and veterinarians are professional and pleasant to deal with. I just wanted to extend a THANK YOU to the staff and veterinarians on behalf of myself and bruno for making us feel like family. Job well done. THANK YOU

I am extremely shocked to see some of the reviews as I’ve had nothing but a fantastic experience with the staff at this hospital. I called that day and was given an appointment that afternoon. I was very happy that they could see us that day. Especially seeing we were new patients. Me being a prior vet tech I’m very, very particular as to where my pers go and who takes care of them. I am very judge mental, as I know the jobs and professionalism needed for this business. I was treated exceptionally well, my pets were so comfortable they were all patiently treated with such compassion. I had 2 different pets both with extensive medical concerns. They did and said everything that I wanted to hear. I knew what they needed and they got exactly that. I did not tell them that I was a 36 year veteran tech until after my visit. I will definitely be returning with all of my pets and will be having Luis come and train my new puppy. My pets are doing great and I am so very thankful to staff for being awesome.

I brought my Persian who started to lose weight and hadn’t been feeling well to RIAMC back in April. Dr. Rogoff called to check in on various occasions after my cats first visit to see how she was doing. My cats health issues were very complicated however, Dr. Rogoff called in her resources to help get my baby back to a healthy and steady weight. We’ve been following her advice and the advice of other doctors here and have seen a significant improvement in my cats health. I could not recommend RIAMC enough. They are very thorough, compassionate and extremely helpful.

I'm going to start by saying I have used this vet for several years and for two different dogs. For the most part I have been satisfied. However today was not the case. I had a follow up appt for my 7 month old puppy's spaying operation. I had expected to be able to go in with my dog as I had some questions and I wanted to get some flea/tick and heartworm meds. Not only was I not told that I wouldn't be able to go in with my dog at the time I made the appt, I was not told when they confirmed the day before. When I expressed my concern when I dropped her off, I was told by someone who I've never seen before that's how they've been doing business for the past 3 months. And that anything else needs to be do by phone. I get it, but we are in Phase 3 of the reopening and I know for a fact that other pet services and vets are not operating this way. In addition when I looked in none of the staff was wearing masks, nor were they practicing social distancing and I guarantee you that they didn't charge me any less for the 5 minutes that they had my dog. Might be time to find a new vet. Too bad.

Every time we're visit we wait a MINIMUM of 40 minutes past our appointment time. Each time this is brought to their attention we are ALWAYS told "Well, we have a lot of emergency appointments today. " . This visit in particular, the front desk seemed way more overwhelmed than usual, though the parking lot moving quickly through visits. Due to this they had us on the books twice, and told us we had to wait longer than the already 40 minutes. It was figured out shortly after that we were well, us and the other appointment that they thought we were. Long story short, these vets and receptionists do care for and love the animals they tend to. However, the constantly waiting 40 minutes past our appointment time & the constant confusion at the desk, we will be finding another vet.
