Well I took my dog there a week ago. I was charged for a reexamineation.I thought I was there for lime vaccine. I didn't have and appoint nor did I make and appoint for a reexamination but I was charged for one. My dog did get a lime vaccine. Maybe it cost $35 to cut his nails. Not sure very unexpected fee.

PLEASE READ I am re-rating my previous 5 star review from last year. My 5 star rating was based on the exceptional care my cat received from Dr. Peter Roy. Unfortunately, Dr. Roy has since left this practice. My 1 star rating is based on the care my cat DID NOT RECEIVE from the vet assigned to her at this practice. Tuesday evening, March 2nd, my 17 year old in door only cat started exhibiting signs of a urinary tract infection. I called South County Vet Hospital immediately the following morning when the office opened. I gave the receptionist the info. My cat has been a patient here for several years. She said she would call back. At 1pm I still had not heard from them. I called Ocean State Emergency but they were unable to see her because of a serious backlog of emergency cases. South County Vet was closing at 5pm. At 4:45 I still had not heard from them and I realized that they were not going to return my call. I called them back at 4:45. The receptionist put me on hold. When she returned she gave me an appointment for Tuesday, March 9 at 3:45pm. I repeated to her that my 17 year old cat was sick with a UTI. She said that unless I collected a urine specimen from my cat and brought it to them this was the best they could do. That evening my poor little cat started dripping bloody urine everywhere in the house. The next morning, Thursday March 4th, I called a different local vet. She told me to bring my cat in that very afternoon. She examined my cat, collected a urine sample which contained blood and white blood cells, and gave me antibiotics for my cat. Needless to say, I have a new vet. It is easy to collect those 5 star reviews because of a friendly staff, a smile, a clean office. There should be no praise or honor for this because, this is how it should be. The true test of EARNING a 5 star review is for a vet being there when they are needed to care for a sick and suffering beloved pet - not for delaying treatment for 6 days. This is unacceptable, uncaring, irresponsible, and shameful behavior. What ever happened to do no harm?

This place is awesome, the people whom work here are great and they are wonderful to your pet! As scary as it is for ur pet to go to the vet, they try to make it as comfortable as they can. 5 stars all around! Great place!!

Dr. Otis has been a fantastic vet to our small dog. He's a thoughtful, caring, careful, and decisive vet who has done a great job caring for our dog over the past five years. We're moving out of the area and are bummed that he won't be our vet anymore. He always remembered me and my dog and my dog's conditions. The best vet I've ever worked with and someone that I would highly recommend to anyone!
