Sammy, my cat, hates going there but once he’s there the care and compassion he receives is great. By the time he’s ready to leave, he’s not quite sure he wants to! The staff and doctors are the most caring and professional people I have witnessed at a veterinarian office. Sammy and I would recommend Abbott Valley to anyone with a pet.

We have been part of the Abbott Valley family for decades and they have always been there for us. Anyone I ever recommend them to always thanks me for introducing them to the very best in the business.

A excellent place to bring your pets. The employees were very friendly to you and your pets. They also let one person in with your pet. I like being there when my pet is being examined so I can ask questions if needed.

I recently took my senior cat for his annual check up and shots. He was none too pleased, extremely stressed, scared and upset. The doctor and assistant were so delicate, compassionate, and caring. They knew how scared Jack was and were very gentle with him and knew exactly what to do. I am very thankful for Abbott Valley.

Top notch service and care!

The whole staff here is very caring and friendly especially to all of my pets that I have taken here. They went above and beyond when caring for my 13 year old rescue dog which had tumors on his spleen. They even left medication on the porch for us when we couldn't get there until after hours. Unfortunately we had to put him down recently, but they not only called with condolences (we had to do it on a Sunday when they were not in) but also sent a card. They have since taken care of our new rescue dogs and we are very happy with how thorough, thoughtful, and kind they are with our pets. They always seem to make time for them when needed, too.

The team at Abbott Valley always takes good care of my fur baby. He had a very bad ear infection, swollen and bleeding and they took him in right away. We had another appointment set up for a week later before his ear infection fiasco to get his rabies shot, etc but when they adjusted the appt and pushed it to the two week follow-up for his ear, Deb C. noticed that my fur baby would have been overdue for his rabies and would only be able to get the one year vice 3 if they didn’t do it right then and there (which they did). The attention-to-detail and always having a pleasant attitude is why I love bringing my fur baby here. Thanks Abbott Valley!

As Newfoundland parents, as well as other breeds, we have been so fortunate to have the Abbott Valley Veterinary Center Doctors and Staff on our team. We have been with them for over 10 years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have been with us for routine and emergency situations and have been nothing short of a blessing. My Isis was a patient there for only a very short time before she took a completely sudden, drastic turn for the worse. I talked to the vet and decided it was time for her to cross the rainbow bridge. Her appointment was 5 days later per my request. When I got her there she saw a different vet to be examined (even though the decision had been made) she called me (Covid 19 restrictions) to tell me pretty much what the first vet had said and I cut her off and told her we had already made the decision. I told her my son and myself were there to be with Isis as she crossed the bridge and she asked if I wanted her sedated before we were allowed in. I was very happy to be given an option than not. They were very caring and compassionate. The only issue I had (and this I am sure varies from practice to practice) was that in my other experiences of having to do that, that after the fact the techs would do their best to clean them up before they brought them out to you. But like I said in my parenthesis is I am sure this varies from practice to practice. Isis is the first I’ve had to help cross the bridge in RI. My others crossed in ME. I was so pleased with them when they took over Isis care (she was 10) that I had the records for my other 2 babies transferred over to them too. It will be nice when we can all do this in person again. I would love to actually meet the vets, vet techs, vet assistants and offices staff in person. Thank you Abbott Vet for taking such good care of my Isis. We are still grieving her but will be ok.

I have been coming here for 7 years with my 2 dogs. They are always so friendly and make sure to be throughout in taking care of my babies!

We can’t say enough about AVVC. We switched over from another vet when our dog was just a puppy and the attention to detail, care and professionalism we received was unsurpassed.

When our almost 17 year old cat (had had cancer, dental disease, and hyperthyroidism) let us know she was ready to cross the rainbow bridge, we were devastated to learn that our long-term vet just had to change policy about letting owners into the building, even for end of life visits. While we understood due to current nature of the pandemic, we asked our vet for options and called several places because we wanted to be there to help Meowtown cross the rainbow bridge peacefully. When other vets turned us away because we would be considered "new" clients or could not get us in quickly, we felt such relief when the staff at Abbott Valley showed compassion, empathy, and kindness. They got us in the next day. While our long term vet (who also happened to be on vacation this week) talked to us about what to look for during our monthly visits over the past year and we knew it was time, we appreciated that Dr. Mowry looked Meowtown over beforehand. Hearing the words that it was time from another vet was reassuring and comforting, especially when you are making the most difficult decision as a pet owner. During the appointment, the staff showed compassion and held the space, honoring the heaviness of pet loss. We appreciated that we were informed throughout the process and never felt rushed. Thank you to Dr. Mowry and to the staff at Abbott Valley. Thank you for allowing us to be there and for creating a peaceful, healing space for us and Meowtown. The Molina Family appreciates you.

Very friendly staff. Fairly priced

I drive 50 minutes one way here because they are the best practice that I have had experience with. The vets are excellent, the techs and staff are all kind and professional. I feel confident when they take my 12 year old dog in for an exam without me and I trust them! I highly recommend them!

Dr. Mowry is by far the best vet I have ever been to. He's incredibly skilled and wonderful with my dog. All the staff here are very pleasant and great to work with. Highly recommend

Abbott Valley Veterinary Center is fabulous. They take amazing care of my dog, who is a very skittish rescue. They are very communicative and always remember my dog even though they must have hundreds of patients. Their staff is wonderful. My dog is my world and I feel he is in exceptionally good hands with Abbott Valley.
