I had to get paperwork completed for my Luna. I was squeezed in today on a Saturday morning and prepared to wait a few hours as I knew it was just a courtesy appointment. Well from the moment I walked in I was met with such friendly service. I was anxious about leaving her but without them even knowing little by little my anxiety was lessened and I only waited about 30-45mins for her to be seen and returned to me. All of the staff I encountered were so friendly and I appreciated that it was the vet himself that called to let me know Luna was ready and he was just finishing up her paperwork for me. Professional friendly and quick but thorough service. I live in NJ and I normally go to one of the DE locations but I believe we will be taking the drive to Springfield going forward.

Hardly and selection of prescription food, and none of the Science Diet prescription food my cat has been eating for almost 10 years. They don't carry it ????

I have always had a great experience with Banfield. They treat my Great Dane like a celebrity. I have had all her care done their including being fixed and stomach racking. All went very well. I know some people have mentioned the high costs. The best way to curb that is to get you pet on a wellness plan with Banfield. It’s worth it so far.

A little hard to get an appointment, but I have to assume staffing is part of that problem, as tends to be the case today. That said, they’re worth the wait. Very kind and knowledgeable. Eileen is our favorite. She loves our pup and does her best to understand his craziness.

If you are signed up with a banfield program package for your pet, it will benefit you greatly with this establishment. Also, great service when caring for your pet. They are transparent and informative when discussing things regarding your pet. ????????

Location has changed from inside of Petsmart, which was not expressed at Booking sooo that was interesting. New location is clean, ideal store front and easy to find once I knew where lol. Staff is super friendly, easy to navigate the lay out. Unisex bathrooms and super big to accommodate kids. Over all,l good experience!

Worst Pet Hospital. Money Hungry people! Paid No attention to my kitten ????. Only wanted to talk about how much money they could get out of me! Their prices are 3 times as much as any other clinic/hospital around. I wish I could give ZERO ⭐????

I didn't go here the other day. But i will tell you, i went here for 2+ years and purchased their care plan for my dogs. They were short on vets and couldn't deliver on my dogs dental cleanings. They also wouldn't give me any $ back to get their teeth cleaned some place else. They said that i already saved enough money based on the amount i already saved using the plan. Well i had spent 1300$ on 2 chihuahuas for the year and i got screwed out of a dental cleaning. Bad business to not offer any kind of relief because they Can't keep vets working there. It turns out that veterinarians leave because of poor work environment and pay. But my dog gets to suffer

Difficult to get appointments. Most times they don't answer the phone. Leave a message, they don't call back. Expensive health plan for mediocre care. Very disappointed

Banfield called my husband yesterday and told him they had an appointment open for 8am today for our dog. My husband dropped him off at 8/815. They wouldn't release him until 5pm when they called to tell him he could pick him up, even though he had called twice to ask if he could get him. He was done way earlier than that. On his chart online it said he tested positive for yeast and bacteria in his ear, so he has an ear infection. They didn't mention this to my husband when he picked him up, just said Loki was all good. So when I asked my husband what they said about his ears he was surprised. He called them back and they didn't even treat it. There was no communication between staff. The front of house didn't even have All of his info. All they did was apologize. So they sent our dog home with no treatment for his diagnosed ear infection after a nine hour day probably in a kennel for most of it. Who knows if they fed him (Josh told them he hadn't eaten thinking it was going to be a short appointment) or got to go to the bathroom or had any kind of exercise. My husband also mentioned that they told the family in front of him picking their dog up that theirs also had an ear infection and told them how to clean it and treat it. The family asked them if they had already cleaned and did the first round. They flat out said no. Why are we paying monthly for our dogs to be treated if they aren't even going to treat our dog ???? they also sent home the syringe of worm prevention for our pup instead of giving it to him. Saying all dogs love it because it tastes like candy. Our dog won't even touch it.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We brought our 10 week old puppy in to be seen for urinary issues. They only had drop off available so we said ok since we needed her to be seen. After being told to be there by 8:30 we waited around the store until 9:10 for her to be brought back. They kept her all day and were rude every time I called to check in if she was ready. Upon speaking with the doctor we found out the gave her only a bowl of water all day after almost 8 hours! They should have let us know to bring her food if they planned on being that slow. I will never go to this Banfield location or PetSmart ever again.

We have been with the Springfield Banfield since 2014. We broke up once as I was tired of the employees pushing unnecessary medications, tests, etc. WARNING: If you don't push back and question if these "recommended" procedures/products are needed, your bill can quickly triple in cost. I had the worst experience this past week with Banfield. Firstly, my dog is a senior dog and does NOT do well during her dental cleaning. In general, it would take 2 days for her to recover from the heavy sedation and she would shake for a day and a half afterwards. As a fix, Banfield has been using gentler sedation so her recovery time was less. I always bring this concern up with the staff when booking the dental appointments. On Wednesday, I dropped her off at 7am. My dog gets panic attacks at her appointments so my main goal is to get her in and out as fast as humanly possible. Typically, she has been discharged as early as 2:30pm. I carried on with my day but started to get concerned that Banfield had not called me back by 11am. I called and was told that she was “next up” as there was a spay ahead of her that had complications. At 4:52 pm, I called back as they close at 6pm. Again, they mentioned the spay and many unforeseen issues with OTHER pets. At this point, she had been waiting 10 HOURS for a dental cleaning and had been bumped to the back of the line. I mentioned that I was worried that they were closing in an hour. They assured me they would complete the cleaning. At 6:01, Banfield called me to tell me: my dog had just been sedated, they were starting her cleaning, and she would be ready at 6:30pm. How ridiculous is that? It felt cruel that my dog had to suffer all day as Banfield didn’t have their sh*t together. It appears that they don’t have enough people on staff to handle the workload which is absolutely unprofessional. Their communication was terrible. My dog was heavily sedated and whimpering for hours that evening (this never happened before). Do not take your beloved pets here!!!

The staff is always very nice and they treat my doggo so well. He's a bit sensitive to some of the shots he needs to get, so they do everything possible to make the experience a little less stressful. They have given me great advice and I recommend them to everyone.

When I started here I ask if the drs stay here for a period of time. I was told, Yes, of course! The day my dog was having surgery the Dr, quit and someone new had to fill in. There is currently 2 Drs. there. It's a revolving door! I booked an appointment 40 days out, and it was cancelled without notice because that dr. left. Now I can't get an appt until Dec. I pay for the insurance, they get their money, and we get no service. SCAM! This place is a disgrace!

Very unreliable couldn't even get my cat seen until it was to late and already gone. They only prioritize those under there wellness program after you pay so much per year.

I would give this place all 5 stars because when I first got my puppy my appointments went well and the staff was very nice. The first problem I have is they changed his Vet without notice which I am very picky about dealing with different people when it comes to health and my money. I have their optimum wellness plan which I pay $75 a month and included in my plan is “unlimited office visits.” I started at the Springfield location and been dealing with them so I called them Wednesday because I noticed my puppy had scabs, bumps, redness, and skin inflammation under his armpits and right leg. I called that morning at 8AM when they first opened and spoke with a rude and very vague receptionist - I could barely get a word out because she was so adamant about letting me know they was booked up for the day and told me to shot an email with pictures and the doctor would call me back. Okay! I don’t understand the point of paying a month if you only prioritize scheduled appointments and not acknowledge other pet concerns. Anywho, I sent the photos and waited half the day. They closed at 6PM and was closed from Thursday-Sunday due to the holiday, so I called at 5 to remind them that I sent the email and I would appreciate if the doctor could reach back out so I can know to care for my pup until I can get in there. She said I will write the doctor a note now and he’ll call you back. Never received a call. So now I’m in limbo about how to properly care for my poor young pup who’s obviously having skin irritation. What’s the point of the wellness plan? I’m not saying forget your schedule appointments for people who call in with concerns, but there needs to be a better system where you can handle both.

It’s being kept clean, safe and well-stocked. Special shout out to sales associate Brian who helped me out by giving my car a jump when I was stuck in the parking lot!

I brought my cat here because I had a free coupon for a visit which I regretted going. My experience first started when I schedule an appointment and it was three weeks away I understand that they were short staffed and didn't have any issues with my cat. I was called a few days before my first appointment and told I had to reschedule because they were short doctors so it ended up being schedule another three weeks from my regular appointment stating they were short staff okay that was fine I just wanted a basic check up and chipped. The day before my appointment I get a voicemail that I could barely understood and was told if I can't make the appointment that I should let them know since other people needed the appointment. The tone of the voice was a bit harsh which I have never had that kind of message left for me. The day of the appointment I arrived 10 mins early and was told I couldn't check in yet and they will call me up when they are ready. While I was waiting a person came in with there dog and was checked in right away and was taken care of right away which I found out later they were about an hour late for there appointment time which really annoyed me. Then 15 mins after my appointment time I still had not been checked in and several other people came up and were checked in right away and animals taken back. My cat was stressed enough being in a carrier and she had started having peeing issues which I was going to have looked at. So after the 15 minute mark I went up and asked when I was going to checked in when the person at the desk told me she can check me in now . After I was checked in I waited about a half hour for them to come back to get my cat went over everything they were going to try to get some pee from my cat which I was fine with and told me how much it would be with testing. Another hour goes by still hadn't heard anything final some one came out and told me they just got to my cat and they were trying to get urine and if they couldn't I would have to do it with a special litter collection. At this point I just wanted to get out of there I had been there for near 2 hours beyond annoyed seeing people coming in with there pets and getting them back in little time. About 20 mins later the doctor called me told me that they couldn't get any urine at this point I just wanted my cat back and take her home. I spoke with the vet which we thought it was behavior. Another 15 mins passed my cat is micro chipped. So I go to check out pay for the chip and was charged full price for the cat urine collection and testing which they did not do the testing I know I have to pay for them trying to get the urine I tried to speak to the person at the desk but she wasn't listening at that point I just paid my bill and got out of there. I was very stressed and upset through this whole process which I have never experience something like this before. I only went here for the free check up and regret going here and putting my poor cat through 2 1/2 to 3 hours of being kept in a carrier. I will never be going here again and will use my normal vet from now on. I wanted to give them a try and was sadly disappointed. I understand that they were busy but to wait and being treated the way I was treated was not right. There were a few other people who were having similar experience which I felt bad for. Going to to the vet is stressful enough as it is.

Why am I on hold for a half hour or more and during the entire process it sounds like someone is taking me off of hold for a second or two and then right back on? Fix your broken system. Answer the phone. You are great in person but I have a simple question and need to drive all the way there? Ridiculous

Zero stars.... my dog Max had an appointment for 2 months for he’s shots an in the last hour I got a cancellation call which it would be ok under normal circumstances, Max can get anxious at the doctor so he gets (Gabapentin) to calm him down, now the lady who call me just wanted to cancel and didn’t even know max took medicine. We ask her to see if another location can take him because this medication is no good for him and specially taking it again in a short period of time anyway with an attitude she agreed to call around 15 minutes later she call back to say is no appointments available in their other locations, we couldn’t believe that specially with her careless attitude. We called around and in the second location we call which is king of Prussia a nice professional lady did everything in her power to get max in after agreeing that the medicine is not to be taking in the regular basis. Anyway amazing how this lady from Springfield couldn’t get an appointment for max obviously she didn’t even try.

We absolutely love Dr Lee! She always has a smile on her face and giggly. She’s very professional when it comes to explaining things and very caring. Anytime we call for an appointment, we can usually get in within a day or two. We never had any problems with any of the drs.

We are currently on the monthly Banfield plan, paying a $60 subscription fee each month. While this has been great, the different vets are hit or miss. We've had to take our pup to 3 different locations to try and figure out why his ears are in such bad shape. Would not recommend this specific location.
