Central Valley Veterinary Hospital Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

Dr Dunsmoor and all staff are knowledgable, excellent at caring for my pets. I have been going to Central Valley Animal hospital for 20 years. They know me and all my pets personally. We are not just another number to them, unlike some of the other vets around, who only see dollar signs. They are very honest and are not just out to make a buck. They actually care about the well being of you beloved pets. High recommended Dr Dunsmoor and his staff to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable, caring veterinarian.

Dr Dan and Vet tech Amy are fantastic! We are temporary housed here is Shippensburg until we settle on our house in North Carolina. We have 2 Weimaraner’s, an English Pointer and a fat cat! They spayed and neutered both Weimaraner’s no issues what so ever. We lost a Pointer with another vet and this was most important to us. We are now thinking about keeping Central Valley as our vet when we come back to visit in PA. They are willing to fit in all our pets on the same day when we travel back. Great staff and Vet. Don’t look for a cheap solution if you love your pets. Central Valley loves them just as much.

There are several great things about this vet clinic; they are very efficient, affordable, & they respect the lives & health of my furry kids. Each time I leave after a visit, I don’t feel like I’ve been price gouged, & I’m happy my furry kids received good care.

THIS is the place to go! I took my cat here when he had a urinary blockage when the office was about to close and Dr. Dunsmoor took him after hours to perform a lifesaving surgery. He saved my baby’s life! His prices are so much more reasonable than anywhere I’ve seen. He cares about your pet, not the money in your pocket. He’s a good man!

Compared to the other Vet services on the area, I rate this one as the best, and I have been to a few others in the past. When it was time to put our dog down due to heath issues, they did not try to talk me into milking money out of me to keep her alive for another 6 months. An owner knows when it is time to say goodbye and not to have the hassle of trying to explain why we came to this conclusion. Very professional anytime I take my pets for checkups. Any negative reviews should be looked at in detail and look at the person posting and not at the Vet services. This world has become extremely soft IMO. Anyway, I highly recommend Central Valley and the staff is absolutely the best!!

Might of been because I was last appointment of the day but I felt rushed. I dont feel as if they payed much attention to my dogs needs. Other than that it was a good visit. They seemed very knowledgeable and handle my dog with care.

Set me up very matter of factly to get my dog fixed. Broke down the prices so I could understand better. My dog loves the people there so I know they treat her well.

One Star because 0 and negative numbers are not an option. Excellent place for euthanasia of animals that deserve to live. If you want the best for your pet you will stay as far away from this place as possible. They wear a great face and appear nice at first. However the money hungry attitude and poor quality will eventually come out. They refused to what was in our and our pets best interest as he financially did not profit enough from it. I have worked with multiple veterinary offices and by far the worst experience ever. Very poor bedside / phone manners and they do not think before speaking. My dog passed away from a condition while difficult to diagnose was treatable and death preventable. My wife and I were able to Google the disease from the symptoms and ask for verification / testing. When my dog was in her sickest days they were "To Busy" to see her even when we requested an urgent appointment. When they refused to acknowledge the severity of the situation, I had already gotten a second opinion with confirmed diagnosis and began appropriate treatment. Unfortunately it was all to little too late. By the time we got the 2nd opinion, the month long delay of running useless tests that had no baring on the condition but cost us a lot of money for no reason allowed the damage that was done to be uncorrectable. BTW the 2nd opinion upset and insulted Central Valley as in how dare we second guess his ability. Turns out we were right and he was wrong and now my dog is dead because of it. But hey... He got paid for it.....
