Today is the 4th time I have tried to contact them! They don’t answer the phone and I have left a message with my name and phone number. I have yet to get a return call.

Used them from the start and the original owner was very professional and a great veteran but once the new owner took over we had issues after issues. It started with are pets being registered under other peoples names then we schedule appointments and show up and they had nothing on there schedule . We took our cat there for weight issues and they told us it was diabetic so we bought everything needed from them for this condition. After that we realized there prices for syringes and insulin was very high compared to other places so we started buying supplies somewhere else. That is when we really started having issues. We took are other cat there because it was acting weird. They billed us just under 500 $ and told us to take it too a emergency hospital after it was there for the whole day. We took it there ASAP and as soon as we got there they saw the problem. He had fishing string tied around his tongue so they performed emergency surgery but he didn't make it and if they would have just look in his mouth we my still have our baby with us. Apparently the 500 did not include them even looking in his mouth. Not long after that the veteran called my wife and was very upset that we were not buying the supplies from them . She then proceeded to tell us if we didn't buy from them she would no longer provide service for any of our pets. It is very sad that a professional puts the $ before the animals health . So after spending 1000s and 1000s of dollars with them the no longer want to provide service because we don't want to pay 2 times there price for supplies. Everyone please beware because money comes before the health of your family and our pets are family.

Great experience. Super nice and understand our dog is getting older. The vet made a preventative plan to help our dog get through his gingivitis.

Absolutely love Dr. Schnieder! She is caring, and takes her time with every one of her patients. I've never been treated unprofessionally. She is experienced and she knows what's best, she goes above and beyond for your pet. Dr Schnieder and her staff have taken care of all of my pets and will continue to do so. I really cant say enough good about this office!!!

Took out youngest kitten stickers here back in January for a fever then 2 months later my other cat for the same thing, both times staff was very kind to our cats and was very patient with them especially my eldest cat who is extremely temperamental. They took thier time with him so they could get a proper job done on how to help him.i definitely reccomend them if you have a fiesty or skittish pet

My pet likes to eat anything and everything. He was very sick, here he had a bowel blockage. They took great care of him and got the blockage to pass, after IV fluids and along of love and care. . They save my pet from having to get surgery. They are awesome.

I am going to be 100% transparent because this was my recent experience and it ended with devastating results. My 8 year old Pomeranian who did indeed have a collapsing trachea for years and years was doing very poorly so I called Cape Horn Vet on 2/12/2020 during the middle of the day like early afternoon and NO ONE PICKED UP. I thought it was weird because they used to be really good about that. Anywho, I didn't think much of it afterwards and left a voicemail thinking they will call me back within the next hour or so. THEY NEVER DID. That night my Pomeranian was really struggling, to the point that my husband and I thought he might die. We stayed up with him to keep him comfortable and he made it through the night. I called FIRST THING in the morning to reach someone and I explanined to them what was going on with our pom and the earliest we could be seen is 5:00pm that day. Okay, no problem. My dog was still having issues and not acting his usual way. Fast forward to 5pm, we were told that the Dr. is running behind because lots of dogs are sick right now. Okay, no problem just happy we are at the vet. My dog gets a chest xray, his tongue is ice cold and getting purple, and his breathing is getting worse. The Dr. explained that his heart looks healthy and suspects he does not have a collapsing trachea. She provides him with two shots and script for hydrocodone and prednisone and she advise us to give it to him tonight and they will call back tomorrow morning to see how he is doing. Forward an hour and I give my dog the meds as prescribed. 3 hours go by and my dog is struggling to breathe, I rush to the Animal Hospital and my dog is literally falling into and out of conscious and is struggling to breath. I arrive at the hospital and my dog has foam and blood coming out of his mouth and nose. I was traumatized to see him so limp. The techs performed CPR but he had passed. The vet told us that my dog died because he had heart disease, heart failure, and tons of fluid in his chest but what killed him was the prednisone because it "through his heart overboard". I called Cape Horn Vet immediately and left them a message to not call me for an update because my dog had died. I do not believe this was ill-mannered at all. What I am upset about is the misdiagnosis and the shame I feel for following doctors orders which ultimately led to his demise. The very next day (today) I requested all of my dogs medical records and I am switching vets immediately.

We had a very poor experience with this office following a very serious and major emergency surgery performed on one of our dogs at the Queen Street Emergency Vet. We were instructed to follow up with our vet within 3 to 5 days of her discharge. We are also very concerned that she has not eaten since being picked up Saturday evening. When calling this vet on Monday we were informed that they would not be able to see her until next week!!!! No recommendations, suggestions, or even an apology. This shows a huge lack of concern for the well being of one of their patients and is completely unacceptable. We will be seeking the services of a vet that is more caring for our future needs.
