Let me start off by saying i wouldn't take my animal anywhere else. I don't trust a lot of people with my dog, and he doesn't like a whole lot of strangers as it is, but i couldn't ask for a more friendly and understanding facility. My dog is very shy around anyone he doesn't know, and the VCA knows that and respects that. They make him feel more comfortable. Unfortunately his favorite tech, Jamie and his favorite Vet, Dr. Batemen, moved on to different things so we have to start over now. But the Vets hes seen and the techs are all wonderful. Super kind, knows their limits when it comes to pets, doesn't dumb anythings down and make you feel stupid. It's always been a pleasure to bring Ruger to their office, i won't ever go anywhere else.

I LOVE this place, they always provide my fur babies with exceptional care. I will always recommend this place to people, the staff is lovely and you can tell they care about our fur babies as much as we do. ????❤????????

Suzanne Steeley of Charles London VCA animal hospital killed my family's previously healthy puppy during a routine neutering surgery due to gross incompetence and/or extreme carelessness. After coming home he could not eat or urinate for two days , was vomiting, and was obviously in extreme pain. My family brought him back to VCA and they were both apathetic and did not provide any answers other than to wait and see if he got better. They said nothing other than it had been a routine neutering. We took him to an excellent emergency vet located in md who did an ultrasound and exploratory surgery. They found that his urinary tract was sutured closed in two places, he had a hole that was cut in neck of his bladder, his urethra was not in the right place, and they could not find his prostate. Ironically, one of his testicles was still present. This amount of widespread damage makes it unthinkable that she would not have noticed something was wrong before suturing him. The surgeon's direct comments were that Steeley had completely botched the neutering surgery and he was shocked at the amount of unexplainable damage she had caused. He tried to save my family's puppy but Steeley caused an irreparable amount of tissue damage and he did not make it. When confronted with this evidence, VCA wanted my family to sign a nondisclosure agreement just to refund the cost of surgery. Finally, Steeley has had some kind of consequence. Upon review of the evidence the veterinary licensing board formally reprimanded her, fined her several thousand dollars, and mandated she take a remedial course in small animal anatomy. I share this because unfortunately she still has her license, is still practicing veterinary medicine and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. This was an excellent office when Dr. London was practicing but he is retired now and it is a completely different place. I would recommend you look for veterinary care almost anywhere else.

Let me begin by stating that I have used this veterinary office for about 30 years. Up until today, I have considered them "Top Notch." Today, I took my dog in for surgery. I have only the best compliments for Dr. Steely, Dr. Weaver, and the Tech Staff. I asked for a doctor's note for work. The Office Manager stated in an annoyed tone, that I would have to wait because, "I'm working here." I said, "Very good. I will wait." Both women at the front desk gave me the worst customer service possible. I was asked if I would like my dog now or after I received my doctor's note. I stated that I would prefer to wait for the note first. Instead, my dog, still recovering from anesthesia and surgery was immediately brought out to me and my fiance. We were told that we could take him outside. While my fiance took our pet outside I continued to wait for the doctor's note I needed. A few minutes later the Office Manager printed me a doctor's note and I left. I have never been treated this way ever before. I can understand that the staff was busy, but I cannot understand how a simple request for a doctor's note, which is a common medical information practice, could cause such an issue. Again, the surgical staff and tech staff did a top notch job; but the customer service of the office staff left much to be desired.

Wonderful, friendly, and caring staff. Specifically, Jessica Dymun really puts forth the effort to establish rapport with animals and their owners. Have brought two animals to this clinic now and she continuously follows up on both. She has a genuine heart for caring for animals and takes the time to evaluate and answer all questions during appointments. No complaints! Easy to schedule online; have beneficial kitten wellness plan that allows monthly payments that covers all expenses and allows you to save money (spay/neuter, testing, vaccinations, microchip, annual examinations, etc.).

London's Veterinarian office is a top-notch business for pet care. I have been using their services when my pets needed professional help for a couple decades. On my recent visit (January, 2020 ), after a urinalysis & blood work, my 13 year old best friend (kitty cat) was prescribed medicine that allows for her recovery. The entire staff members & Dr. Steely couldn't have been any more helpful. Recommended. Thank you!

Got my aging sick cat an appt. very quickly, were very caring, professional, and thorough with explaining things simply with a breakdown of costs per service and very reasonable costs. I am definitely going back there and referring others.

We had to have our poor cat put down. The staff was so kind and gentle with him. We were having trouble getting a fax sent from another vet and Sean at the counter called them personally and had the fax within minutes. A few days after our visit a nice condolence card came in the mail. That was a sweet gesture! This vet staff is amazing! Any negative reviews have got to be a mistake or in the past.

I'm one of those people who bought their dog, not adopted because we were looking for an particular puppy and having a 3 year old, most rescues turned us down. I finally found my boy and brought him in to get his first puppy check up. My puppy is a unique mix of breeds, and is the cutest. The place that I obtained him from gave me his breeders records and was very admirable. The woman at the front desk at vca just had to state while I was sitting filling out paperwork, "if this isnt a puppy mill puppy, then I dont know what is." There is already a huge stigma on bought puppies, however, no one knew the circumstances, and it turns out my pup is very healthy. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope front desk staff can be trained on professional language regarding patients. Dr. And other staff were very friendly and curtious.

VCA Charles E. London Animal Hospital and Suzanne Steeley, DVM essentially killed my healthy 9 month old puppy Oze. I took him there on Feb. 7 for them to do a routine neuter operation. 3 days later he was dead. I began getting concerned the evening of Feb 8 because he was vomiting and wasn't making urine. He would want to go out and would strain and push but nothing was coming out. After taking him back to my vet on the 9th and getting no relief, we headed down to a specialist in Towson, MD who did an exploratory surgery. You can read his findings within the attached letter, but basically his urinary system had been sutured closed in 2 places, had a hole in the neck of his bladder and unrepairable tissue damage. To add insult to injury, the testicle, that was the point of the initial procedure, had been left inside him. So I guess she removed something else? I don't know. The surgeon in Towson said he couldn't locate the prostate and the urethra wasn't located where it was supposed to be. I want to complement the specialist in Towson, however, because he and the entire facility and staff couldn't have been more considerate and professional. It was startling to contrast them against the incompetence and apathy I received from my vet at VCA. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the pain and loss Oze and I have had to endure. This is just the beginning of my campaign to make sure that everyone possible hears our story. I gave them 1 star because google doesn't let you give 0.

Dog killer is best way to describe them at VCA. On top of it they burned my dogs collar and sent my tags back burned. They were quick to get there money up front $$. Offer no solutions. Just excuses if your a pet owner think 2 times before going to a place that don’t care about you or your pet!! All 000000 stars. Vca of Lancaster. Vca Bridgeport.

Wonderfully personable staff. Our typically nervous dog quickly became very relaxed once they began interacting with her. They took great care of her before during and after her surgery. They also made sure to spend time explaining home care information. Everyone there loves what they do and it shows in their care of pets and their families!

This was old management. New management seems to take customer service more seriously. This review is actually about a year old. A year ago or so I had an appointment and called ahead to say that i would be a few minutes late (meaning less than 5), and the lady on the phone rudely told me not to bother coming because i would have to wait for next week to see the vet. I told her that i was right around the corner and would be there shortly, and she insisted that I reschedule. I had absolutely no availability, so I called elsewhere. This is in stark contrast from a young man who was friendly and informative a few weeks before when I initially made the appointment.

Do not get your animals (especially dogs/cats) vaccinated here! We were long time patience, and hadn't had a bad experience until we got both of our dogs vaccinated with their own brand of heart worm meds. They both became VIOLENTLY ill immediately after giving it to them, and rushed them back to the VCA; however it was too late. The younger pup had suffered kidney failure and is now deceased. The other is still with us however, yet suffering from a kidney tumor which is terminal and could have have been avoided if we never gave her the heart worm med. She is in constant pain and the medicine we have to give her now is expensive and another terrible side effect of this event. The worst part about the entire situation is that when we took both animals back into the VCA this wasn't the first case... in fact they said that happens frequently and would be able to "help us". I believe they know that there brand of medicines are not good quality, however keep it on the market regardless of the fact that it isn't good for these animals. I have waited to write this review because I am not a negative or angry person... however I was looking at my sweet little sick dog today and thought "I don't want this to happen to another innocent animal".

My fiancé and I have taken our dog here since he was a little 4 pound puppy who is now 22lbs and just turned 1. He was born with an umbilical hernia and a few parasites. They took the time to explain everything to me and he even had his surgery there, are always very nice they even send me a post card and email when he has a medication due. Great experience so far! Thank you VCA ????

Have been going here as needed for a few years. Our vet today was Michelle Bateman and my two golden doodles loved her and her assistant. Thanks so much for the care of my doggies.

I want to start off by saying that I am a reasonable person and this is the first review I have ever left on Google. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. OUR PET IS NOW FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE. READ BELOW: In December we took one of our Siberian Huskies in to see the doctor due to weight gain. Suzanne Steeley (she does not deserve the title of Doctor) examined him, took a blood test, and determined that he had a Thyroid issue and put him on Thyroid medication. Great we thought, he will be back to normal in no time. Wrong! After putting him on the medication it didn't take long for his mood to change dramatically. He become very sluggish and seemed depressed. We called the office concerned, but were reassured that this was just a side effect of the medicine. By February he had lost over 20lbs and had stopped having any interest in food. Again we called concerned and took him in for another exam. Again we were told this was from the medication and Suzanne Steely even stated "Aside from being over-weight he is a perfectly healthy dog." We continued the medication as we believed from the feedback he just needed to adjust, but he continued to get worse and worse. He would only eat chicken we cooked for him and eventually stopped that and stopped drinking water as well. I made the decision to take him off the meds about 2 weeks ago to see if he would improve. He continued to get worse though and all of my faith was lost in Mrs. Steely and Charles E. London's practice so we explored other options. Jameson (our Husky) has been in intensive care for the past week and has been seen by 5 separate Doctors in Maryland, 2 ultrasound specialist, a internal medicine specialist, his test results have been sent to specialist in California, and the overwhelming feedback is how the hell did they miss this!? He is now in late stage liver failure because this went undiagnosed for so long. We are doing everything we can to save him as he is only 5 years old. Two of the doctors said we have a strong case for a law suit due to the negligence by Charles E. London's office. However, our concern right now is saving his life and it is not looking good. I will do everything I can in my power to hold this office accountable and please think twice before you put your pets life in their hands. Because I hate negativity and Google won't allow me to give them anything less than 1 star... The man with the glasses and pony tail that works at the front desk is extremely attentive and nice. He has been my only positive experience working with this place. Kudos to him. Also, please do not insult me and respond to this review with an email address to someone I am sure probably can not offer any resolution to this issue. You contributed to shortening the life of a young pup. There is absolutely nothing you can do to fix this.

Stay Away. Go elsewhere. We were working with Dr. Steeley. Our dog had a high liver enzyme level. We had an ultrasound done at the Emergency Clinic. Dr. Steeley never called us after the ultrasound to discuss the results or our options. She does not care about your pet. Please go elsewhere.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR PETS DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. For a field that the most important quality to have is to care they most certainly DO NOT CARE, well I shouldn't speak for every single employee there but Suzanne Steeley certainly doesn't! 0 stars in my eyes but Google is too generous.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at these offices since I started bringing my dogs here a few years ago. Dr. Bateman is our primary vet and she is fantastic! The staff are always kind, helpful and great with my animals. I particularly enjoy appointments in the annex building. Shiela (i think that's her name, I'm horrible with names) is always a joy to talk to and is so sweet with my kids and dogs alike!! I couldn't be happier!!

I called in today in hopes that we could get our adopted calico a check up and Shawn answered. Shawn was very kind and he fit us in. Within a little over an hr., we were seen. My mother has always taken her animals here and she always recommended them, now I know why. As a first time pet owner, the staff made this experience a wonderful one. I highly recommend this practice and again, many thanks to Shawn , Barb and Karen for your kindness.
