VCA French Creek Animal Hospital Pottstown, Pennsylvania

I have brought two cats to VCA French Creek Animal Hospital for care over the past few months. The staff and Dr. Gellman were and continue to be caring, attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable. They called to follow up and see how my pet cat was doing (he's doing great, by the way) and they treated the feral barn kitty with the same level of attentiveness and concern as they would any beloved pet. They understand that vet care can be a hit to the wallet and always offer to give an estimate of the costs before beginning procedures. I highly recommend this practice.

A few years ago, this place would have all 5+ stars from our family for the care they gave to our cat as well as my grandparents dog. Ever since being bought out by VCA, they have become so overbooked, understaffed and overall lousy. I have tried calling for TWO weeks to speak to Dr. Gellman to discuss issues that could have been prevented from our cats sudden death (3 weeks after a check up here I might add) and I can’t even get a quick 5 minute call. I have simply fallen through the cracks and since my animal is no longer living, I am no longer worth their time anymore. I appreciate the hard work of the staff and technicians but the veterinarians needs to step up and improve their quality of care.

All of the vets are from U Penn Veterinary School. Very smart and skilled as well personable

They seem to do an adequate job, but it is just not the same since they sold out to VCA. Comparing my own medical care check up to that of my dog... it is cheaper for me to go get a physical without medical insurance than it is for me to take in my pet.

The vets, techs and staff treat me and my pets like family and they are thorough

We only use these Vets as they are very kind and through.

Expensive but helpful friendly staff

Wonderful, caring staff extremely helped when two of my cats were sick. Really helped with the care and options on what you do as if we're they're own furbabies. Both sadly had to be put down after appropriate tests were taken, they even sent a griefing card afterwards, and provided better memories (cat fur, paw prints). Will always go here.

We have been trusting the care of our animals to this group for decades. They have always been absolutely wonderful.

We have been using French creek, before they were on 23.0ver 35 years now, have alot of history with them like family. I guess you can say I m satisfied..

Great veterinary practice. We especially enjoyed Dr. Elizabeth Goedeke after she arrived at the practice. Been going here off and on since 2008, and was particularly active in the last decade 2011 - 2019) when I was fostering very senior rescue dogs. Everybody I've encountered in the practice (and I think we saw every doctor at least once) has been knowledgeable and compassionate. Have always been particularly impressed with the beside manner. The vets and techs will get on the floor with your pet rather than insisting on the pet being lifted onto an exam table. I had Huskies and an Akita, big dogs that get scared when lifted onto a cold, shiny exam table. The willingness of the doctors and technicians to crawl around on the floor to accommodate my pet's needs was outstanding. I have never understand the whole mythology of dogs not wanting to go to the vet (and the jokes thereof). My dogs always loved it here. The last two had to be euthanized due to the advanced and painful nature of their infirmities (both were 15). In each case, we had it done in the car, and it was actually a joyous experience. I haven't got a single complaint about French Creek Vet. At 75, I'm retired from rescuing dogs because I can't handle it physically any more. That's the only reason I'm not still going to this vet - because I don't have a dog.

My dog loves going to the vet! He gets so excited to see Dr. Engler. The entire staff is kind and professional and I trust them completely with my pup.

For 15 years, we have received excellent, very caring service for our dogs. Their thoughtfulness, knowledge, and professional ways are top notch. Our dogs are always happy to walk in the door and sometimes seem disappointed tomorrow be going to doggy day care when there for a well check!

The staff is wonderful. I needed an emergency appointment. They accommodated me within an half hr. The Covid safety is beyond great. It might take a little longer than usual but who would care if we are safe.

Everyone is very kind and exceptionally helpful. They take time to answer your questions, they respond promptly to your calls, and more than once they were able to squeeze my cat in last minute when I had concerns. Dr. Engler is especially remarkable, and it is very evident that he cares for his patients. Highly recommend this facility because they go above and beyond.

Love the attentiveness and concern of all the staff here. I receive follow up calls and emails often.

Took our kitties here for many yrs. moved to n.c. for 20. Been back in pa. now for 3 and definitely are back to french creek. Best thorough veterinarians around!

With covid it's tough not be able to go in with your pet. The doctor called me and explained and discussed treatment and questions regarding my dog very informative
