Took good care of my buddy for a couple days

I took my dog for grooming I specifically spoke with the groomer and ask her not to cut him very close just cut down when I return to pick him up he was cut so close that you could see his skin I was very upset spoke with the manager and she did nothing I will never return my dog to this place needless to say I have been coming for over a year….

I don't usually take the time to write reviews (I know that's terrible) but with Love My Doggy Day Care I have to... I rescued my dog Sunny (10 Ib pom mix) over a year ago. Before he came to me, he spent the first 6 years of his life either in a basement alone or being physically abused. When I rescued him it was the height of covid. I was working from home every day and knew I could provide him a safe, comfortable home w/ all the cuddles and attention. However, in February I was asked to start coming back into the office. To say I was so scared about what to do with my Sunshine is a complete understatement. I rescued this sweet boy and he was staying with me no matter what, but I needed to figure out the best accommodations for him while I was at work. A friend of mine (the President of Home At Last Dog Rescue) recommended Love My Doggy. The first few times I dropped him off were hard on each of us, however, when I picked him up he was happy & tired. Since those first February days, I have never once worried about him once I dropped him off. Sure I miss him terribly during the day, but every single time I pick him up, the staff are the most loving, gentle, and understanding towards both him and I. He is being loved in all the ways he should have been during those first 6 years by the Love My Doggy Staff (and myself) and for that I am so thankful. He deserves it. Sunny has come such a long way. He is a calmer, happier dog. The love he receives at LMDDC has transformed him. To say I am a big fan is an understatement. If you have the ability/finances to drop your baby off ever once an awhile, I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much, LMDDC. <3 Monica & Sunny

Our pup had the absolute best time on her first weekend away from us since we got her. They do an awesome job ensuring they understand each dogs temperament and play style before they match them up with like groups of dogs. And they are kennel-free which is a nice plus!

UPDATE: We were contacted by the owner for the incident below and decided to give LMDDC another chance. I was able to enter the lobby this time and interacted with the staff about her stay but definitely did not feel confident in the feedback I received or in the smell I encountered when entering. It honestly just felt like the staff did not care or were too busy (even though I was the only one in the lobby at the time). I have taken my pup to multiple boarding/daycare facilities and this is the only one that has rubbed me the wrong way. However, my pup seemed fine albeit extremely thirsty so I just settled for it. Conveniently close-by and fast service but both experiences I've had with grooming and boarding have been disappointing. Grooming: We took our dog there for grooming and I was hoping to have a detailed conversation about the cut we wanted. I had pictures of our last cut we loved from our previous groomer (we moved between states) and offered to provide them, along with specific details like clipper size and cut style. However, the groomer at LMDDC didn't seem to care. She didn't write down or want any details. Ultimately I said we don't want a basic poodle look. I came back to find her just like a poodle (head was bigger compared to her body, no tapering done, just looked like she was buzzed the whole way). I asked the groomer if she could take some more off her head to even things out and she sarcastically made a comment to the dog saying, "looks like we have to go back inside because daddy isn't happy and wants more taken off". Very unprofessional and rude. Feels like I wasted my time and money. Boarding: Left her for 3 nights for boarding and left 1 toy and 1 blanket as suggested by their website. Received the toy and blanket with feces on it. We ended up throwing both out as it couldn't be cleaned easily. Our understanding was that the toy and blanket were for her own room use, not public use (confirmed this when we called). This made us concerned about overall hygiene of the place, especially her own suite. She also came back voraciously hungry, extremely lethargic, and vomited the next morning with bloody stool. Our dog has boarded before in our previous boarding facility in Michigan with no issues. In our previous boarding experience, they had cameras set up so we could watch her from time to time but there is no similar setup here and obviously due to COVID, we cannot enter to see the premises. The only feedback we get is that she ate pretty well and played well. However, what we've seen so far has not proven this. I hope our experience is just a unique one but LMDDC has lost our trust with any of their services.

Older dog got great care.

I have only used Love My Doggy Daycare GROOMING. I started out happy enough with it, but now I love my groomer & I won’t go anywhere else! The first few times i took our dog there, I thought it was good, then I had a different groomer, and I wasn’t planning to go back. I went back because finding a new place is hard, I put off getting an appointment, and I thought the most important thing was that I trusted that my dog was safe & not mistreated at LMDDC. I really like that they don’t cage the dogs! I also appreciated that when I called and said I wanted to use someone different, they didn’t make me feel badly for asking, or like I was complaining. At my dog’s most recent appointment, he had a different, newer groomer named Justina. The service and level of care he received was phenomenal! Justina & the grooming salon manager, Yev, went above and beyond to ensure our baby’s comfort (and good looks)! They literally stayed “beyond” normal business hours because they took extra time with him! He had a big, full coat to work through, and they wanted him to have lots of breaks.Justina & Yez also took the time to educate me on ways to better maintain our dog’s coat. They acted like they liked my dog, and I completely believe they were concerned with keeping him comfortable.

I have been sending my little dog to Love My Doggy Daycare for over 4 years and just LOVE it! the staff is beyond caring about my dog. And, I really like that they separate big and little dogs. My guy is tired out after all the fun he has whenever he goes to play. Plus, the groomers are top notch! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I brought my very grumpy and difficult long hair cat in for his first ever lion cut today. The grooming staff did a wonderful job and they really had their work cut out for them with my cat!

My pup Chauncey LOVES Love My Doggy Day Care! We take him every Tuesday to play with his friends and board him when we are traveling. The handlers are absolutely wonderful and give him all the love and attention he deserves.

I've been working here for over a year and a half now, and there's nothing as rewarding as working with some of our timid dogs and watching them blossom over time with daycare. I know the staff well and we are all dedicated to ensuring every pup coming in is comfortable and well taken care of. I miss our lobby chats with all of our clients, but thankful we still get to see the dogs amidst all the madness of COVID.

Great Place! Yev, the new(not so) Salon Manager has turned the salon into a great place to bring your pup, and have them look the best they ever can! Recommend them any groomers that they hired! Chandra, the front desk manager is very nice and efficient and makes booking appointments easy and quick!

I’ve been working here for 3 years now and I’ve never worked in an environment more stress-free for the dogs! They really love the open concept and cage-free grooming salon and the groomers work with you to learn about your and your pups needs and cater every visit to you. If you need a place to socialize and tire out your pup look no further than the doggy daycare, the dogs really have a blast!

Roofus is exhausted after a full day

My shy little Eevee is falling in love with the place, one employee at a time. Her last visit, a different girl came to pick her up from my car, and she froze and went wide-eyed. Straight up Matrix dodged every time she tried to lasso that leash on her, like I'm talking Mayweather level dipping and ducking. After she got out of the car, she even jumped on the door, locked eyes with me and told me, "Don't leave me. Stranger danger." When I came to pick her up, she was so dang hyped up like she was in the clouds. And it's like this every time. The people here are clearly awesome, and I'm going to be bringing her here for a long time.

Great people, They are so fast and helpful let you know how your pet is and how your pet enjoy their spa day or daycare there at Love My Doggie Daycare????????????????

I cannot think of a better place to take my dog. The caretakers are wonderful, and Dakota actually looks forward to being with the staff and playing with the other dogs.

The staff is very nice and they take the necessary precautions up front to make sure your dog is safe and adjusts well to doggy day care. Before COVID when we dropped off in the lobby my female who had bad anxiety got use to being there overtime and after taking her there for several weeks she was actually so excited to see the people at the front. This made me feel so much better about dropping her off. After 1 month she finally did so well she was able to play with the other dogs, this was huge because she was very stressed and had bad separation anxiety after losing her brother and litter mate to cancer. Several months later we got a new puppy and we now take him there. The feedback I get from the staff is great so far and he comes home all tuckered out which is a beautiful thing! My only peace of feedback would be sometimes they come a little smelly or if they are outside sometimes little muddy. I’m sure this is hard to prevent so I am understanding of it. A extra bath is worth a tired and less crazy puppy! ????

Briana is great always very pleasant at pick up and drop off all while being socially distant. Has a true compassion for animals.l!

An amazing experience every time. My senior German Shepherd loves it here and they simply do the best grooming. My Diamond shines like a diamond after her bath and she is so happy and relaxed. Thanks again.

Just want to get this straight right off the bat. We have been using LMDDC for a while now and love it. The only reason I am taking away a star is solely for one person, the general manager. He has no people skills whatsoever, and it’s crazy because his bio on the website says he was a pioneer at one of his last several employers for customer service. It’s also sad that the AMAZING staff he does not deserve has to apologize for his lack of compassion and service to a recurring package customer. It’s not just me either, I had a coworker try out LMDDC for her pup and she immediately commented to about his poor attitude towards her. I still highly recommend this service because you will get the best care possible from the owner Lisa and all of her other incredible staff members. Lisa personally called me when I had a previous issue and I have a lot of respect for her doing that. She could have handed it off to someone else, like the general manager did, but she cares too much about you and your dog. The other girls I see twice a week always tell me how my pup did that day and how much they love him. It really means a lot to me that they care so much and I’m thankful for it. Maybe the general manager needs less customer interaction if he cannot handle simple questions. Update: no longer use this service. After several “mix ups” with scheduling, decided to cancel my package. Asked for a refund, was told I would get one once they figured it out on the system, but never received one. Received a call weeks later asking if my dog would be returning without mentioning that I was never refunded my last day on the package.

They were polite and informative, but only offer tours mid-day Saturdays... Sketchy that I can't see the environment I would be leaving my in for day daycare/boarding

I wasn't going to post a review since I had a bad experience, but since I feel like insult has been added to injury, here are my thoughts. I found this daycare and was really looking forward to seeing the facility and having my dogs attend daycare there. I reached out and set up an evaluation for my dogs. I was very clear that one of my dogs had severe anxiety and fear regarding men, especially tall, skinny ones. I put it all over her paperwork, I told everyone we came in contact with, made it clear if she was stressed to call and we would pick her up! To my horror they still placed my dog with a man as first point of contact. I called to check on my dogs and kept getting voicemails, I left several messages as I was worried about my dog and I was at work but would make arrangements to pick her up if it wasn't going well. I finally reached Lisa at noon or 1pm and was told at that point my 2 dogs did well and passed the eval and were happily playing but my 3rd dog with the anxiety was still in a room by herself as she wouldn't let anyone approach her. When I arrived to get my dogs, my female had allowed the groomer to befriend her and was thankful alittle less stressed in her care. There were no apologies given. I decided not to return with any of my dogs due to that. My dog is still very fearful and has developed an issue with females now and I'm working with her current daycare and trainer to get her over her issues, but I truly believe Love amy Doggy made it worse. Lisa recently contacted me, not to discuss the issue or how my dog was or anything like that. She reached out because she wanted me to remove the google review as it was one star. During our conversation she insisted her company did nothing wrong and my dog had to interact with males anyway. A fact that I am well aware of but like her current daycare did, they allowed her time to approach the male workers and had her with females only at first- Love my doggy didn't even try to do that! In addition, the smell of urine is terrible and I'm happy to say we have found a home at another facility that understands our dogs, cares for them like there own and smells pleasant.
