Dr Sherer and his staff are good-hearted professionals who get down to the business at hand - caring for your pets - with a minimum of fuss. I love their accessibility and continuity of care. Update 11/30/21 -- Calvin was shaking his head non-stop. Dr. Sherer squeezed him in, and before even seeing him, spent 10 minutes hearing my concerns and answering my questions. It wasn't allergies, rather, he had an ear infection. A good cleaning and some medication, and problem solved.

I took my service dog Jacques in to have two growths removed that were the size of a golf ball and they made 9 inch incisions to get them out. To add insult to injury they sewed him up in the most horrible fashion I have ever seen. I added the pictures so you don’t have to believe me you can see it first hand. The doctor I suspect felt like she was too busy or too good to come out and discuss the surgery with me so she sends a tech out instead. I am very irate about this this is my precious dog and they botched him all up. If this is an example of her skills as a doctor I think she should find another profession.

I have an eighty pound mix breed who is nearing the end of her life. Dr. Delancey examined her and prescribed medications to make this time easier for her, one of which was for her nausea. Dr. Delancey was informative, kind, and professional. Also, we did not have to wait with a stressed out pet because she is also punctual. Yesterday my beloved pooch got her appetite back.

My dog Ruby was limping couldn't find any place that was taking new patients unless it was an emergency or I had to wait a few days. These people extended their day to make sure she was ok.

Werntz Animal hospital was such a blessing in my time of need! I was in a desperate situation to get my 17 year old Beagle, Charlie seen asap do to health difficulties. I checked all around town at the bigger vet hospitals and was told my pet couldn't be seen . Well, I called Werntz Animal hospital, explained my situation and was given an appointment right away. The staff and Dr. Sherer were kind, considerate and thoughtful. I have found a new pet hospital. They are awesome!!!!!

I had to have our little poodle Maddie put to sleep. The staff and the Dr were absolutely wonder so kind and compassionate. I was able to stay right in the car and have it done.

Werntz staff was very responsive to concerns/notes we had about our pets and communicated very well before, during, and after our visit. We had to wait a little bit to be seen but did so in our car and we scheduled during a busy part of the day. The parking lot is a little hectic but well worth the wait. We will certainly be going back!

At first I was not crazy about not being able to see how the doctor interacted with my to Pups. But shortly thereafter my boys got into some poisonous chemicals. My husband rushed them down to their office and three girls immediately ran out snatched them up and begin treatment. They literally saved their lives and I couldn't be more grateful. At that point I realized they are very compassionate and very caring. So I now have a new veterinary office. I couldn't be more grateful to these folks. They were just wonderful

They really helped me out with getting my dog a cytopoint shot for her allergies that flare up around once a year. I wasn't a current client and my current vet doesn't offer this shot. They got me in and were very friendly and professional. Their location is perfect for me too. I think I just found my new veterinarian!

They were the absolute best! Our 14 month old cat was diagnosed with FIPS by another vet and we took him there for a second opinion. Sadly he was in the late stages and did pass within a week but I wish we had known about them in the beginning. There is no doubt in my mind they would've done anything to help him, and they did try, it was just to late. The whole entire staff was absolutely wonderful. The care and compassion they showed us and our little guy Milo was the best. They really went above and beyond during that extremely difficult time. I can not thank them enough. We'll be switching our dog over to receive care from them as well. I 100% recommend them for all pet care needs. Dr Shearer was the most compassionate and professional Veterinarian I have ever met. Thank you so so much for helping us.

Great competent staff, place looks creepy from the outside but what matters is they know what they're doing and they do.

After trying a couple of other practices, I found what I was looking for at Werntz Memorial - a vet who genuinely cares about the animals, who takes the time to thoroughly explain things, and who I feel has the animals' best interest at heart.

Dr Sherer and his staff are absolutely the best! He is so kind and gentle with my pet, and his knowledge and expertise is outstanding. He is very proactive with my senior kitty's care, and is always available to respond to any questions and concerns. His staff is great also. Caring facility! Have recommended his practice to numerous friends, and they are all very satisfied also. Thank you Dr Sherer and staff.

I have a English bulldog that's an only child. Lol. I rescued him from petland and he's not a big ppl dog. I went to get his glands done and they didn't do it right he was in there for maybe 15-20 minutes and one of his glands are out. An I paid over $300 for his shots and his glands an asked them to look at his hind leg. That was extremely quick and I needed to clean him up when I got home. They should have sedated him an they didn't. I was not happy with the visit. I'm disappointed they didn't listen to me. I know my dog. I have to go to another place I was referred to so I'll let you know how it goes. I'll be sure to post it. Our animals are like our kids. An the vet assistant's should listen and refer it back to the vet. I wasted my breath because he surely wasn't done correctly and I paid alot of money for my dog to have to go somewhere else to get his glands done correctly. Be safe

Our dog had received somewhat of a bad report from an emergency vet. I remembered how good my old vet (Werntz Memorial) took care of my first dog and I took Coco back to see Dr. S. and he took the time to look Coco over and explain what was going on and gave us great direction on how to care for Coco. Coco is feeling much better and we will not be going anywhere else but to Werntz Memorial. The whole staff was great. They took care of our dog like it was theirs. Highly recommend this Veterinarian. Plus the staff is polite and AMAZING!!!
