Dr Sandler was EXCELLENT!! She was very thorough, kind and welcoming. Very thorough in explaining the diagnosis and the treatment options. I can't say enough about her. She answered every single question without hesitation Hiring Dr Sandler to be part of the team was a very good decision

My cat bit a fish hook and they could not take him at about 7pm. Workers were rude and basically told me I had to rip it out or leave it in overnight. basically said they could do nothing to help us.

If you don't have the $3000 deposit upfront or your account runs out of money, they couldn't care less. They claimed to run all these tests on my pet but never had any results. My pet is still sick $3000 later and and a 3 night stay, they …

I had to put my little Mildred to sleep after 8 years of friendship. The staff and Dr. Benton were wonderful. They explained everything and acted with compassion. I very much appreciate the care Millie and I received.

They are expensive but worth every penny. Our baby Solo is 3, he’s a kitty, and we were so close to losing him. The women behind the front desk were wonderful, especially I believe her name was Amanda but they were all nice and answered everything and gave us tissues. The doctor was kind and caring and helped do whatever we needed to when we couldn’t think straight. We managed our down payment because he was patient with us and helped us apply for care credit. He has taken such good care of Solo and we are so appreciative of the work they do.

My dog Anika was having issues and needed to be seen ASAP. We could not get an appointment with our regular vet for a few days and we could not wait. The staff at AVETS were terrific. They explained the tests that would be performed after listening to our concerns. It was nice to sit in a nice, clean waiting room while the testing was being done and she looked so much better after they gave her fluids that she needed after being dehydrated. She is doing much better thanks to the great care she got at AVETS. I would recommend them in a heartbeat ❤️

Fat cat has a serious injury infection. The vet was very sympathetic with us and although she recommended surgical repair of the wound. We could not afford it. She offered a second course of action of cleaning and antibiotics/ pain management. Which was such a blessing. Fat cat is healing well and although he will most likely have a scar. He'sback to himself with just some scabbing for now. Ps he left his collar on for about 3 sec once let out of carrier. Lol but hasnt bothered the wound. Compassion, care and options given these people are the best.

Her vet was incredible, they treated her with so much care and love! My fur baby is getting pretty old in age and they were so generous and kind to her. I adore this place and will absolutely be using them for all my pup care needs. Thank you to everyone who works in this office, your kindness and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed!!!

Dr. Tam and all of the nurses, techs and reception staff were extremely kind and helpful. I feel that my wishes were heard and respected and that my furry best friend got excellent care. While my pet's end-of-life was very sad, the silver lining was the group of people I had the pleasure of meeting at AVets and Lap of Love. Thank you all. Competent, loving (towards both animal and humans), urgent about our needs.

This was truly the worst experience at a pet ER I have ever had. I waited from midnight until 4am with my cat, a full four hours, before I was sent home and told I wouldn't be seen within 5 hours after arrival. While the lady on the phone did mention that the hospital was working at reduced capacity and wouldn't be able to do any surgery on my pet if needed, she told me, after I had completed the online assessment form, that "they could get him into triage." That never happened. While I was waiting, several staff members, including what turned out to be the only doctor working that night, could have updated me on just how long the wait would be. I very much understand that my cat's condition didn't seem critical compared to other pets (although he did end up getting an emergency endoscopy at a different hospital), but there were plenty of opportunities for somebody to step up, take responsibility for the situation, and let me know that it would be at least a 5 hour wait. In which case I would, of course, either not have shown up in the first place, or left much earlier. There were several interactions that were simply weird in hindsight: at one point, the only doctor who was there that night told me that my cat was "waiting to be seen by the doctor" - which was her?! I think she may have phrased it so weirdly because she didn't want me to know that she was the only doctor working at the time, and that it would be a very long time until she could see my cat. After ca. 3 hours, a staff member told me that "the doctor was just about to see me," which, at that point, she must have known would be extremely unlikely, so why say it? Finally, I did not appreciate the backchat I got from the receptionist: as I was leaving, I asked her why she couldn't have let me know in the first place that we'd be looking at a min. 5 hour wait since there was only one doctor. She said "she was sorry if I misunderstood her like that." I thought that was unprofessional and quite insulting. I had understood her very well, but she had failed to provide vital information on the situation that would likely have affected my readiness to visit the place. I feel I was being misled from beginning to end. I would return to this place only if my pet were at risk of death and all other hospitals in the areas were closed.

Exceptionally professional staff who not only show care and respect for ones pet but offer amazing support and communication to the pet parent. We never hesitate to use Avets for the care of our dogs.

Although our situation did not end up the way we had hoped our experience with the staff and Dr. Sandler was exceptional. We experienced a heartbreaking situation and Dr. Sandler did an outstanding job, every step of the way. Her support and expertise was exactly what I needed during this difficult time. Clear communication and level of support was fantastic when making choices and being there when I had to put my pup to sleep.

Despite a long wait on Christmas Day, the staff responded immediately to my concerns and triaged my dog, finding her a comfortable place to stay to help reduce her overall anxiety (and mine). I was overwhelmed by the kindness and attention provided to me and my dog throughout my visit. Overall, I was impressed with the patience and understanding exhibited towards my anxious/stressed dog, the diagnosis, and the clear explanations that helped alleviate my concerns.

Dr. Bondi and the entire team showed us the utmost kindness and understanding. We can't thank them enough for their help. They truly care and took the time to listen to our concerns and answered all of our questions. Thank you so much!

Wonderful and knowledgeable specialists. Very friendly staff. Dr Sandler was amazing at handling Cooper's seizures and keeping us in the loop as to how he was doing and what the game plan is. Coopers nurses were also very attentive and friendly and kept us up to date with his well-being.

Sitting here for 3 hours And no one has even seen my dog yet.. After 7 hrs was told I need 6 to 8 thousand dollars for my dog. Hard to make that call right there. Went home with pills. Dog got worse. Call their office and was going to go Tru with the surgery. They said no room and told me I should have let her stay last night when she was there. VERY UPSET ABOUT THEIR ANSWER

being an emergency vet, Avets is always very busy, but the staff are always professional. i've had to visit them twice now for end of life services. i wouldn't want to take my ailing pets anywhere else for our final goodbyes. the staff are incredibly respectful and kind. thank you, Avets staff, for making these hard visits easier to bear.

Today I had to put my dog to sleep, the vet said it’s painless for the dog. I can’t even explain how sad it was to watch when they tried putting the iv in so many times because they couldn’t find my dogs vain. I watched 8 times as my dogs squirming because of the pain of the needle and they told me it would be painless. Shame on some of the vets that work there. I know I will never be going back there again because of how unprofessional they seemed and I will be letting others know..

My situation was handled with tact, compassion and professionalism, something you expect from a facility that markets themselves as a high end pet care center. Ensure the euthanizing of my pet was done with care and compassion.

We are so thankful for the care we got at Avet's. The front desk staff in particular was just so wonderful and patient and I'm so grateful for their kindness to us in such a stressful situation. The doctors we're fantastic and worked hard to diagnose our dog's serious, complex illness. Our dog is doing much much better now, she's eating again and it seems like she's got a good shot at recovery, thanks to you all.

Took our dog to be seen and sat in the parking lot for an hour and a half. Get a call that they are at capacity and can’t see anyone for at least 9 hours. Told us we’d have to find somewhere else.

A bit more expensive than other emergency facilities, but top quality animal care isn't cheap. My dog was well within 48 hours and I owe it to them for bringing my dog back to normal.

Doctors are worried about the wallet not the pets, very cold when they speak with you. Won’t let you in while the exam..act like your questions are a bother . Don’t want to hear bout covid when your allowed in the waiting room. My regular vet always lets us in .Assistants and front of house are great caring and patient. They made our experience more bearable. I felt it was we care bout your pet if you have lot of money if not take them home and deal with it. For 4000$ they would try to save my girl. This is a money maker not a vet hospital. My girl was put to sleep because I had to take her home for lack of funds and by Monday when my vet could see her it was too late. Whom did not charge me for the euthanasia because of what avets put me through.also I was supposed to get an email of the break down and never did. Would never go there unless I had No other choice.

It’s certainly different from my local vet’s small busy practice but once I got over that I felt very at ease. It’s a hospital setting and I’m optimistic for a good outcome for my beloved companion pet’dssurgery.
