The Dog Stop - East End Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

I had been taking my GSD Kira to the Strip District location for more than a year, but when I changed jobs, the East End was much closer. I am just as happy with the quality of this location. You can tell that everyone who works there really loves animals, and they're dedicated to providing a top quality service. I like that the dogs get to go outside at this location, and I'm still a top fan of the cameras!

I’ve been taking my dog, Jif, to the Dog Stop for over five years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I know that when I drop off Jif for a day or a week, he’ll receive lots of hugs and the best of care. Sometimes I’ll set up a grooming appointment while he’s at the kennel. When I pick him up, he looks like the cutest dog ever!

The staff at The Dog Stop are loving and gentle with my dog. She has fear aggression and responds very well to the employees who care for the dogs that board there.

Our dog really enjoys going here and the people are so nice.

Absolutely amazing kennel, I had to get my dog in quickly to board due to an emergency at home and not only did they get me in the very next day, but put me on a waitlist in case a spot opened up on that same day. They took great care of my dog and made me feel so comfortable. 10/10 experience, can't recommend enough.

Chico was clean and not crying when I picked him up. He didn't do that well when he went to other places

This place is incredible! My frenchie didn’t do well at his other daycare so I was told to try the enrichment program here at the East End Dog Stop and I am so glad I did! Not only is he doing so much better interacting with other dogs, but he absolutely loves when I drop him off, and I get videos/pictures from the trainer. The staff is so nice and has been so accommodating with my busy schedule!

Very easy to get to, convenient parking, friendly staff, and really good grooming. We have a 17-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, and not only does she love visiting Dog Stop, but she comes out looking beautiful each time.

My dog has been going there for almost 2 years. I used to love taking my dog then, then recently the past 6 months changed. My dog is no longer allowed to play in regular daycare because he is “aggressive” (this is new behavior to me). However, my dog was attacked there 3 times in the 2 years he was going. He is only allowed to go on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when their trainer is there. You have to pay additional money for this “enrichment”. I take my dog there today, was never informed that the trainer wasn’t going to be there for the week. You’d think they would send an email. I go there and they tell me since the trainer isn’t there my dog has to stay in a kennel and be let out intermittently. No longer impressed with the dog stop and they lost a customer.

Employees have been helpful trying to get my dogs to eat Tried so many different ones. Always buy treats and stuff. The only thing I have is a suggestion...the cards you stamp should be a to go towards discount on products.. I will not use mine I cause I dont use the daycare or grooming.

My dog needed to be bathed that day and when I called they said just bring her right over.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is incredible and go above and beyond for each dog. Eloise has a blast with the new enrichment program and adores Christine. I never worry about her while I’m away.

I left my dog, Hercules, here for a long weekend and he came back exhausted! He had the time of his life and I loved being able to watch him through the pup cams! The staff was professional, friendly, and just overall the best! I felt so comfortable leaving him in such good hands and they did their best to answer all my questions. I will continue to bring my dog here!

I like this place, everyone is friendly and seems like they enjoy working with dogs. Every time I have used their services I am pleased. Very affordable too ! Highly recommend them.

Just moved to Pittsburgh area, and found this place. Loved the service, professionalism, and they were also extremely understanding when I was running a little late. Plus my fur baby looks great and I loved her pink bandana!

This is not at all the closest place for me to take my two dogs for grooming or boarding, but I would absolutely not even consider going anywhere else! Not only do my dogs look amazing after being groomed here, but I have total confidence that they are being treated good and without injury which they received being groomed somewhere else. I just boarded my two babies here last week, for the first time ever and was SO nervous, but it went wonderful! And my dogs came back happy, healthy and on a wonderful schedule. It also helped with my Aussie's socialization skills which was so appreciated! This place is the best <3

These beautiful ladies have become my friends! Jane, the general manager is so kind I think my dog loves her more than me! Carolyn, the manager of The East End Dog Stop is always happy to see my Jif. No matter how little time I have when I drop him off, it’s as tho she were waiting for us. Alex is a darling and Dawn, the groomer, does such a good job Jif is always three shades lighter when I pick him up. I’m not familiar with the rest of the gang but I’m sure they’re just as nice :) I want to add that I’m battling metastatic ovarian cancer—they’ve been more supportive than some of my family members:)

When we put our pups in boarding, they are always excited to go. That’s a good sign. Staff is always very friendly and you can tell they care about their customer’s animals. I’ve received nice calls from staff letting us know how the pups are doing while we are away. Scheduling boarding online is super simple. They have a great selection of dog food, all of the good stuff and it’s always stocked. And we appreciate the rewards program.

We have been using this Dog Stop for daycare, boarding and grooming our many dogs almost since they first opened. The personnel are extremely responsive and kind to the dogs there and their owners. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who has to part with their best friend for a day or days.

I absolutely love this Dog Stop!!! So far, all have been wonderful. The East End's staff are so friendly, helpful and genuinely care about the animals in their care. I highly recommend this camp for anyone who wants their fur baby to be safe and happy when they are away!

Melee LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Dog Stop. She comes with me in the car quite often, but whenever we pass certain landmarks, she stats jumping and wagging her tail because she knows where she's headed. The socialization is spectacular and she is always up for a huge nap when she gets home

I love The Dog Stop! They're so friendly, professional, and easy to work with. My small dog used to be afraid of blow dryers but now, after visiting her friends at the Dog Stop, she is calm!
