Overpriced. Non professional staff. Ignorant and rude

Excellent staff. Clean building. Top notch professional care for our furry family. Parking is a bit difficult at times but manageable.

Everyone was kind. Treated my cat in a caring way. Gave options for care. Informed me of cost before anything was done.

Peanut went in for nail trim. Very friendly staff. I was worried about his weight, they weight him and every thing was good. I would highly recommend this place.

They take great care of Figgy and Chestnut! They’re notification system keep me up-to-date with everything I need to be doing for my babies!

I have been using Avalon Vet for a couple years now, and have had great experiences every time. The staff is amazing! My girls are treated like princesses. Dr. McGowan is wonderful, and always takes her time with us and answers all of my questions. It's such a relief to have found a veterinary hospital that I can trust!

The Avalon veterinarian and staff are very nice.. the doctors there do a complete exam and they explain everything to you they take good care of their animals there

My animals have been going to Avalon Vet for years. I have always had such great experiences with all of the Doctors and techs. Today I had to bring my cat in for an emergency appointment. Dr. Seremet was so wonderful and compassionate as I had to make the decision to humanly euthanize my 20 year old cat. Her compassion will never be forgotten during a really difficult time. Thank you to all of the staff at AVH. They truly are some of the best.

They took care of our dog very well and treated and did tests on him to determine the issues. So we are able to take care of him the proper way Thank You.

Everyone is always helpful and nice. Mocha has many issues as an older dog.

We have been going to Avalon vet for years. My dog was VERY ill and I called them to get him in. They told me they could only fit us in for a emergency visit at a higher cost which I totally understood. They scheduled us at 2:40pm. We got there at 2:30pm and let them know upon arrival that he was getting MUCH worse. They assured us over the phone someone would be out to get us shortly. At 3:15pm we still had heard nothing. I called them to follow up and make sure they had the correct phone number. The receptionist on the phone informed me that it would be over another 20 min before they could even bring him in. When I explained to him it was an emergency visit and my dog was progressively doing worse he was VERY insensitive he just stated they were busy. We were finally taken in for our appointments at 4pm! I am an incredibly patient person but waiting 90 min to be seen for an emergency appointment is beyond what I see as professional. I am incredibly disappointed with Avalon Vet and we will be transferring both of our dogs to a new vet.

I did not like the fact that if u don’t have all the money to help your pet witch is a member of my family an has been for 7 years they can’t help u or at least give u advice or a number to a place who will very disappointed!! Everything is about money an that’s sad

Been going here for a long time. They care about your pet and take their time to talk to you. Definitely recommend.

I took my aunts new puppy there because she had to work and my experience was great. It was the first time I ever went there and the vet was very nice very thorough explained everything to me. Price was reasonable for what I had to take her there for. Would definitely recommend and would definitely make them my vet if I had an animal.

I made an appointment for check ups for my two cats three months in advance and specified I wanted to see a certain vet. I found out two days before a staff member had scheduled me with the wrong vet and everyone I talked to, especially Amanda walker practice manager, was amazingly rude and unprofessional. My cats will now be getting care elsewhere, please save yourself and your Furbaby a headache and go elsewhere.

My cat was seen by Vuk and the new vet this morning. (She didn't have her name tag yet.) My cat needs to be sedated prior to going to the vet so it's usually not pleasant. I have been going to Avalon since the early 1970's with my first pet. This morning was probably the best experience ever. These two individuals worked extremely well as a team and my cat was receptive to their calm nature and he even got blood work. It was a very good experience!

I've had really great experiences here. I've been talking my animals to Avalon Vet for 20+ years and the current owners/managers seem to be even more conscientious than the previous. I find their prices typical for a vet, but their service is outstanding. And you can't beat 9AM to 9PM office hours Monday-Friday! I will continue to make the drive from Penn Hills to Avalon because of their incredible service and knowledge.

I love that you can schedule appointments after work. They have cared for my cat for 4 years and my puppy through his first year. They are always friendly and take the time to answer my questions and concerns. Overall, I would recommend them to others!

The doctors are great here! They take the time to thoroughly explain everything. I found out things about my 12 year old dog, that no other vet had told me. I'd recommend this place to any pet owner.

Completely over priced ... They stated they "don't have a cost chart anymore because prices have changed" they will NOT work with you. I paid over 300 just to get shots for one of my pups... I took my other pup to a different location and was charged 125 for the same dang shots. Nice and polite people however their ethics are crooked

Avalon vet hospital has never let me down. They truly care about our pets. My Gemma baby had an emergency visit yesterday for a corneal scratch which thankfully was on the road to recovery. She was sent home with 2 eye drops and pain pills. She was a lump until this afternoon when I fed her kibble with chicken bone broth in it. She decouvered it and then drank some water. She proceeded to play for about 30 min with her ball and then peed and pooped. This mama is ???????? Thankyou to the staff of Avalon vet. I ×ouldnt go anywhere else. ❤????????❤
