Absolutely Love this place! They take very good care of my dog and are very responsive. They actually make sure to deliver the best care for your Pet!!!! They are kind of the VIP of VETs in the area, and I only want the best for my dog.

Really caring and nice staff. I felt like the veterinarian really took the time to talk with me about my cats health.

I had been going there for three years and I didn't hate the place but they reduced their available hours and aren't open on Saturdays. I wasn't a big fan of the doctor but that didn't make me switch vets. I switched to a place a little farther away but with much better hours and it seems like the prices are a little cheaper.

Visited 5 separate times reporting the same issue with our dog, and was provided with different reasons for issue every single time (followed by treatment that ultimately did nothing). On the most recent visit we were advised to go to a separate specialist for an allergy test. Why couldn’t this have been said on the first, second or even third visit? We also let them know that our pet usually takes Benadryl prior to shots, they proceeded to not give him Benadryl and say “it slipped their mind”.

I called to schedule an appointment for my dog. After I explained the reason for my call to the girl who answered she said she was going to run it by the vet. After holding, she came back and said, "Your dog has lock jaw, needs surgery and you need to go to the emergency vet immediately." I asked questions like, what would cause this? Are you sure? Can I please speak to the vet? Is there no way to get him seen in your office first? I got no answers, was told they could not and would not help me...only: go to the emergency vet now. I called the emergency vet and was fortunate enough to talk with a tech on the phone who advised me to monitor my dogs symptoms and try to schedule with another vet first. Thank goodness for that phone call. My dog had an ear infection. An ear infection! It is my opinion that giving out a medical diagnosis over the phone - WITHOUT EVEN SPEAKING TO THE PET OWNER - is negligent. Beyond that, refusing to even entertain scheduling an office visit is just plain bad business.

Waited over two weeks for an appointment. I’d let them know when we did that it was for our dogs teeth. The vet called me after the appointment and said that They would have to Schedule another appointment with their dental specialist. It’s disappointing not tell us they would not address this on the initial appointment. It’s even more so that we still haven’t heard from them for 3 more weeks while our dog is in discomfort. Moving on to a more reliable vet.

We have been taking our cat to Phoenixville Animal Hospital since we adopted her six years ago. They have been professional, responsive and easy to schedule with from the very first day. They make an effort to minimize stress on your animal-- offering towel nests and lots of treats for our cat, for example-- and communicate clearly when vaccinations and tests need to happen. More importantly, they obviously care about your pet's wellness and went above and beyond for us to ensure our cat had consistent access to her heart medication after more than one referral medicine center in the area made continuity of care/scheduling EKGs more difficult than it needed to be.

We have been taking our pets here for over 15+ years. I cannot say enough about all the staff here. They treat our pets like family and truly care about their health and well being. We have been through a lot with our pets and wouldn't take them anywhere else!

Professional, caring, organized. They had a good process to get my cat in and out. Plus the vet and vet techs I spoke to were communicative and had a good bedside manner about my cat, care instructions, etc. All around excellent experience.

PLEASE READ I used to work at PAH for 5 years. Having a great relationship with Dr. Galligher, it pains me to write this review. My 16 year old dog, who had been seen by the staff passed away at home. I was broken and extremely sad. I spoke to the staff about dropping her off for cremation and REQUESTED a paw print be made for me and my mother (this is a service that is done for EVERY pet that passes, but the paw print was something that I wanted to make sure I received). I dropped her off, and the technician seemed to not care that I was hurting and treated me like an inconvenience. When my dog finally came back for pick up, I drove over there as soon as I got the call on my lunch break from work. I waited outside in the car. They brought her ashes out to me, but not the blanket or paw print. I asked for the paw print and blanket so the technician went back inside and brought the blanket, but not the paw print. I asked for the paw print again, she said she will go back and look for it and NEVER came back outside. I waited outside for 15 minutes, but finally had to go back to the office. So on my drive back to the office, I called and asked them to let me know when they find the paw print and I will come pick it up. Meanwhile I was texting my friend who still worked there as a receptionist, and she let me know that the technician staff did not make a paw print for me. I guess they did not know how to tell me (or did not want to) so they chose to leave me waiting in the parking lot, sobbing. Dr. Galligher ended up giving me a call with her condolences and apologies, and sent me a gift. While I appreciate that, I will NEVER have what I wanted and deserved, which was her paw print. I was outraged because this was done for all clients/pets, so why would one not be made for someone who used to work there and cared for others pets? A few months go by. My mothers elderly dog was having a cough, she called PAH to see if she could bring her in, but voiced concern that this may be the end for her life. She was transferred to a technician and without gathering more information, the technician told my mother to go to the emergency vet. Listening to their recommendation, my mother took her dog to MVA and after almost $1000 later, she was euthanized there. If the technician took some time to listen to my mom and offered her diagnostics (bloodwork or X-rays), my mom would have 1. saved money and 2. been able to euthanize her with a staff that she felt comfortable with and relied on for many years. Since I left PAH, I heard that it was taken over by new management. I cannot say that has a direct impact on the quality of service, but I know when I was working there, what happened to me and my mother would not have been unacceptable. The technicians there are careless and that is the last thing you should be working in the veterinary field.

We absolutely love Phoenixville Animal Hospital. Everyone is very professional and friendly! We’ve been bringing our new puppy here for all her check ups and follow up appointments, shots, etc. We love how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is! You can tell they are all very genuine and care about your furbabies instead of just a “service” for your pet where they see your animal and write you up a bill and rush you out the door. Their service is outstanding! Thank you thank you for all that you do for our Furbaby!

We're on the way back from OCMD and our dog got bit at the boarding place. We called the vet and they're telling us that no one there is able to stitch her or even see her because the surgeon is on vacation and apparently this large office has only a single person capable of doing any sort of repair. Why can't any other vet help? Why do we even come here? They had someone available to ring us up for $1100 last week with no problem though. Thanks guys! Edit: Also, before vacation, they had failed to enter our vet records or send them over to the boarding place and nearly caused us to miss being able to board the dogs because they didn't have vet records of up to date vaccinations so we had to scramble for that too.

Unfortunately, we had an awful experience with this place. Neither vet nor vet tech could manage to remove a tick OR take a temperature from my non-aggressive dog, resulting in me having to have the vet tech hold my six month old baby so I could do both myself while the vet just looked on. I hadn’t planned on sticking a thermometer up my dog’s rectum and holding it there for nearly a minute that morning, but I guess someone had to. I was then charged for the visit, and then refused the prescription we had come to obtain because they wouldn’t allow me to buy the medication online at less than half the price. Gallagher’s management practices are atrocious, I can’t in good faith recommend her as a veterinarian.

My pup Belle had a dental cleaning last week. Belle is like a child to me and putting her under anesthesia was daunting to me. She’s a 6lb chihuahua, so any kind of surgery gives me anxiety. I can’t say enough about how Dr. Galligher made me feel 100% comfortable before, during, and after the surgery. Belle’s teeth were not in great shape and after the surgery she looks like a new pup! I would recommend Dr. G to anyone!!! Everyone who works there is amazing. I’m so happy I found this practice.

This place is AMAZING. Not only was the call staff nice & professional- but the veterinarian that saw my dog- was wonderful, respectful, and called me for everything pertaining to the care of my dog. I live in Philadelphia- but will go out of my way to have my two boys seen by this wonderful staff.

Phoenixville Animal Hospital has taken excellent care of my dogs. They do a great job communicating and keeping track of my dog's medical history. They always call within a few days of her specialist visits or procedures at other vets to see how she is doing and what the status of her condition is. They also do their best to get her in quickly if she has a time sensitive issue.

Took my dog Bailey for the first time last week, I was so appreciative that the staff was working and could give my dog the care she needed, with all going on in the world, they were still there for our pets, and I cannot thank them enough for helping Bailey today. Dr Caulfield was so nice, and so patient, explained everything to me, took great care of Bailey, even called to follow up and check on Bailey, that means so much. I’m so glad we found Phoenixville Animal Hospital. From the moment I called to make the appointment, the girl who answered was so nice, answered all of my questions, I highly recommend them.
