My dog Bella suffered severe ortho injuries a few months ago, from the moment she was admitted to Blue Pearl emergency room to the current follow up visits, the care under Dr. Roberts and nurses have been simply phenomenal. Dr. Robert's …

My dog is going to be put down in five days due to stage four lymphoma that this horrific place somehow entirely missed despite the several horrendously expensive tests they preformed on her. My dog is a six year old golden retriever who …

We have been coming here for our dog's oncology care. We were on obviously devastated at the diagnosis and even more stressed when we couldn't find any openings for months at the first several specialists we called. Luckily the 2+ hour drive has been so worth it. We've been working with Dr. Mullin and she has been incredible. She's extremely kind while also being realistic and not sugarcoating anything about our Buster's outlook. She's been doing a great job of helping us give him the best possible care, even though his cancer is aggressive. She is incredibly patient, we have never felt rushed and we always get all of our questions answered.

I just had my initial consultation with Dr.Craig Clifford for my dog and he is clearly the best. He explained everything in such detail, but also so simply. I did not have a single question at the end of our appointment. He was extremely compassionate and patient as well. I'm coming from NYC to see him and I do that without hesitation, this is the best care you will find for your pet. My mind is so at ease knowing someone I can put my full faith in is managing my dog's care.

Dr. Robert’s is the absolute best in every respect. I am so glad we chose him for our dog’s surgery. Complicated surgery was a complete success and she’s still going strong nearly a year later. He was also extremely responsive to questions after the procedure. This review only pertains to Dr. Roberts, not the hospital as a whole.

We had an emergency situation that our local emergency vet was not able to take care of and referred us for a fractured jaw. The staff and doctors went above and beyond to take good care of our fur baby. They were very informative and called and texted regularly providing us with updates. They worked with us since we were located over an hour away and made sure we were put at ease about her situation. I could not have asked for a better experience for our girl and ourselves as well. There is no question that I would use them as my regular go to vet if I was closer. Our pup needs a follow up surgery and she will definitely be going back here since they treated her like she was family and cared for her better than any place she has been before. I would give 100 stars if I could!!! For context the picture I posted is one day post op and you wouldn't even be able to tell anything is wrong! She loves all the nurses and doctors there!

Can I give 0 stars. Wow. What idiots these people are. Customer service is a joke. They have personalities like a brick. Rude. Condescending and just all around nasty. And amazingly, everything is 2500 or 5000$. I have 3 dogs there for completely different services. Same prices every time. Avoid them at all cost.

They call this an emergency vet! I called and was told their so called 24 hour emergency may close if the ER Doctor feels they aren't busy! What? This is a 24 hour EMERGENCY service. Waste of my time and clearly wouldn't bring my dog to them if this is the way I am treated before even walking through the door. My advise, go SOMEWHERE ELSE

My daughter's dog ate a bunch of carpet and needed vomiting induced to remove the carpet. $2000.00 dollars later I have a dog yiping and I'm told that breed of dog likes being dramatic??? What are you talking about???? My dog never never yipes to climb steps or jump on a sofa. My dog never sits under a table because he's afraid of being touched. I called them the next day mind you after spending $2000.00 to induce vomiting only to have a dog sitting in extreme pain and when I asked what did you do for $2000.00 I'm told by them I'm not sure??? For $2000.00 you should know and should be able to tell the dog's owner everything that was done especially since it was one day prior. I would never bring another animal to this vet hospital as they charge you way more then any hospital My friends ever dealt with. My sister dog which is 10x the size of my dog ate something it cost $600.00 to induce vomiting not $2000.00 and her dog was not in excruciating pain after spending 600.00 !!! For $2000.00 I expect someone competent to answer my concerns and now I'm waiting at my vets office to see what they did to my dog but unfortunately I asked them to transfer the records over to my dog's vet and its an hour later and we're still waiting even though I've called 2 times explaining my dogs pain. Guess they got they're $2000.00 and now my dog is on his own. They left me feeling ripped off with a sick dog. Thank you hope hospital. I hope you learn to do a better job especially at those prices!!!!

Absolutely horrible!!! We came here on a Sunday morning at 9 AM after our dog injured his arm/shoulder. We waited 4 hours before our dog was even taken in to the building. We waited another hour before we received a very non-specific update and told to follow up with our regular Vet. We then had to wait another 30 minutes before they even brought our dog out.

My Izzy was a patient for many years at Hope for various reasons. Most recently, I unfortunately had to make the decision to put her down. I really appreciate how they handled the entire process. They allowed me to take the time to say goodbye. I will be forever grateful.

I am so impressed with how well we were treated today by the staff. I was also blown away that I was getting updates by text message. That is by far the highest quality of care. Dr. Scott Roberts is fabulous. He took care of my little boys flexor tendon. He will be running around again in several weeks.

9 weeks today recovered from ACL surgery!!!!! I appreciate all the work that was put into Romeo's care. He couldn't wait for the first day to catch a Frisbee. Highly recommended for ortho surgery if you have a big/med dog.

The BEST EMERGENCY VETERINARY PLACE THAT I have had the pleasure to experience. I have never even close of having the service that I have with them. The passion that they have for the animals are impeccable. The doctors one in particular Dr Mengel is an amazing doctor that I had the pleasure of her treating Gwen. The nurse Heather I couldn’t speak any higher of her. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!

It’s been a little over a year since our companion has passed. His illness was very sudden and we took him to many vets that said he needed to see a neurologist so we took him here bc it was recommended to us and I called ahead but when we got here the neurologist wasn’t even available. They took an x-ray and told us he had cancer and wasn’t going to make it. They wouldn’t give us any options to take him home for our goodbyes. It cost about $1000 to put him down and they didn’t have any payment plan options. This was all happening during Covid so his ashes got lost in the mail and it took about a year for us to get him back.

We took our cat here and paid $225 for absolutely nothing. They didn’t diagnose anything whatsoever and just gave us very vague and unhelpful information. Ended up taking our cat to another emergency vet the next day because he looked even worse and they found out he had low blood sugar, anemia, and very low body temperature (95 when he was normally around 102). None of these things were brought up by Hope, and I seriously doubt these things just came up overnight.

Super disappointed in the new management of Hope. We are existing patients, my dog was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease by Hope. We had an emergency situation and were told they are not taking any more cases last night and turned us away. This has never happened before at a 24 hour emergency center. I wish I hadn’t used them during the initial diagnosis now since we won’t be able to use them for emergencies for my sweet dog who needs extra special care. Not good customer service.

I had taken my cat in when he was in critical condition unexpectedly at late hours of the evening and staff was incredibly understanding with us and very compassionate and up front about our options and costs involved. I am incredibly thankful for their help and couldn't recommend them more.

My dachshund Dante had a mysterious mishap one Friday and walked into the house unable to use his hind legs. I live in the Lehigh Valley and contacted my veterinarian who was not available to see Dante on a weekend. On Monday my regular vet was still unable to evaluate my dog and suggested I go to the Valley Veterinary Center in Allentown, PA. Valley was unable to help My dog because there was no MRI services available but managed to charge me $145 and were void of any TLC. They said they set up an appointment at Hope for me so I proceeded to Drive the 1.5 hours there only to be told the staff who runs the MRI services were gone for the day. My husband returned the next and literally waited in the car all day to have an MRI done and finally spine surgery transpired at 5:30 that evening. We were told there was a 15-25% chance of Dante ever walking again. Surgery was performed by Dr. David Brewer who was very communicative about Dante’s surgery and has a kind demeanor. We received no reminder call to of a follow up visit to remove the sutures. We called and Hope said ; “ Yes you need to get in here”. The surgery was on May 5 and Dante still lives in a diaper and has not regained the use of his back legs. The surgery costs over $8000 and I carry Dante around and clean up his urine and feces several times a day. On Memorial Day we were visiting relatives in Upstate NY and noticed Dante was not himself. He developed diarrhea and was lethargic. I contacted Hope and they said to get in ASAP. Well since I was over 6 hours from the Hope clinic that was not possible. Hope then advised me to contact a local vet ASAP. I called three vet clinics and no vets were available. On Tuesday I was back in the Lehigh Valley and took my dog to his regular vet. Over $400 later with a diagnosis of parasites Dante was on the mend. The Hope staff is very nice especially Erica but this surgery has not proven to be successful at all. Dante has become my close to $10,000 canine paraphyletic. Would I have opted to put the dog down. No way! Did I have to sacrifice some vacation time due to these costly vet expenses that have not resulted in positive outcome yet. But seriously if this was a human patient this whole surgery would. appear to fit under the malpractice heading. Plus the Hope follow up calls or follow up care is virtually non existent. Over $8000 and no well check up calls. Would I recommend Hope? The jury is still out on that one!

Horrible, all they care about is driving billing. Never called me back on what they said was a urgency issue for my cat . He had to have a endoscopy for $3000. Plus needed to bring back in for a consult with a dr for $275. I questioned why ... ask the dr to call me . Never got a call ... on this urgent issue. Tried to force a 2nd visit for $275 to do consulting another dr when I just pickup the cat 20 mins before. Why couldnt that dr talk to the one who did the ultrasound? Rip off!! Beware of this animal hosp.... Go to Metropolitan animal hospital they care , 3 follow up calls after my visit . And oh BTW THE CAT DIDNT NEED THE ENDOSCOPY FOR $3000

I want to thank Dr. Scott Roberts for helping us in our time of need with our dog Mackenzie by removing her spleen which had a large mass. This mass was causing pain and dangerous cardiac arrhythmias. In todays world it's not always easy to find a combination of a good surgeon who is also compassionate, caring, empathetic and attentive all in one--but to find someone who will respond to you within one hour and make room in his busy surgery schedule the very next day is unheard of..Dr. Roberts is without a doubt this person!! Dr. Roberts responded to our family when we had no where to turn and others were too booked with their schedules to attend to Mackenzie's needs. My partner and I were filled with fear and uncertainty, knowing at any moment the mass could have burst and Mackenzie could have had internal bleeding or she could have went into cardiac arrest due to the spleen affecting the heart. It was Dr. Roberts who returned my call and expressed empathy and understanding while offering to perform surgery on our Mackenzie the very next day! Furthermore, the day of surgery Dr. Roberts came outside to meet and introduce himself to Mackenzie and my partner giving reassurance that she was a priority and would be taken care of...The surgery was completed without any issues, now waiting on the pathology results. Of course we are praying that the results are good--regardless, one thing will always remain and that is how Dr. Roberts related to our situation and stepped in to care for Mackenzie in our time of need. This is a testament to his true character directly correlated to his high level of ethical and moral standards of care--he has a wonderful heart and we are forever grateful and indebted to him and his kindness. Thank you so very much!

I recently took my dog for a follow-up ultrasound. The nurses are wonderful here. However—— for 10 minutes with the doctor my ultrasound cost almost $500. Plus when the doctor called me following the procedure, he was very short with me and had no recommendation for follow-up until I asked. Then asked me to come back in 6 weeks. Right, for another 10 minutes and $500. No thank you. Sadly now I have to find where to take my dog in a few months to check her tumor.

I went to Hope with my neopolitan mastiff needing tplo surgery on both her legs. Sadly I went somewhere with a prior situation with a different mastiff and it didn't end well. Even during covid not speaking face to face I was treated amazingly! My dog just got the total clearance yesterday 100%. This facility and their surgeons are beyond anything I've ever dealt with in all my years of animals! I hope that I don't need to run back however I will make the hr drive any sec of any day in the future if I have an animal that needs help! Grateful can't even describe what this place has done for me and my family ❤

We had a small scare with our newly adopted dog Theo yesterday when he ran through the kitchen fell down and we heard him yelp. He was recently neutered and had a seroma that had burst, as well as a small infection. Hope Veterinary Specialists are nothing short of amazing. They gave constant updates, an extensive discharge sheet for after care, complimented our good boy, and made our first experience with them one of the best any company could offer. Dr. Muhrer, Sam, Sarah, and sorry if i butcher this Maryella put our minds at ease and were eager and ready to answer any questions we had along the process. I just want to say thank you for what felt like you guys went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. If I left out any names, I'm sorry. Keep doing the small things, they made a huge difference last night.

I'm so extremely grateful to HOPE and especially to Dr. Scott Roberts and all the staff that took such wonderful care of my dog Rookie. He recently had to undergo a bilateral TPLO surgery and he's barely 2 years old. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck but everything was great from start to finish. He just went back for a 2 week follow up and he was so excited to go inside and see everyone...that speaks volumes to me!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr.Roberts. To say that he is attentive, ethical, friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, compassionate, reassuring, selfless, skillful, trustworthy, and wise is an understatement! He is the best medical professional I've ever had the privilege to work with. Thank you to everyone who took such great care of my boy.

We were very unhappy with Hope. Referred by our local vet for our 1 year old cat treatment for recurring wound on paw. Had no regard for distance we traveled or fact that cat was fasting for almost 24 hours. We spent 7 hours in their parking lot while cat was inside for an ultrasound that we had previously ruled out doing with other vet. Which showed nothing as we had been previously advised ultrasound hard in cats for foreign bodies. Only to be told too late in the day for treatment. Wanted us to schedule surgery 2 days later and bring cat back every day or 2 for dressing changes. We live 1 1/2 hours away. They kept asking for records which we had confirmed were transferred and when we spoke with vet seemed like she hadn’t reviewed them. Poor communication regarding appointment and instructions. Also in the 7 hours I spent in their parking lot appeared mostly dogs being treated very few cats.
