Hickory Springs Pet Farm Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

My family has been leaving our beloved dogs with Hickory Springs for years, and always had a wonderful experience. In the most recent visit, we dropped off our three dogs, but changed plans and needed to pick one up that very same day. They were so understanding and accommodating, flexibility for which we were so grateful. We continue to be big fans!

I feel that my dog was in better hands and in a better environment than other kennels in our area, and all for similar pricing. Making a last minute reservation for a holiday weekend was surprisingly easy, he had a great time, and the staff is great. When we need to board him again, we will be back! The longer drive was absolutely worth it, thanks for giving my guy a great weekend with lots of play time and extra exercise.

Very disappointed overall. The communication during the booking process was great - I was able to talk to staff members through email and phone to answer my questions, hence the two stars. However, when we picked up our dog after his stay, we were not pleased. As this was the first time we boarded our dog, we asked how his stay was and were curious to know any details that could be provided. We were told “we don’t know. We have a lot of dogs here and we can’t keep individual notes. There’s nothing in the computer so there must have been nothing negative about his stay.” I was uncomfortable with this response. When it was time to get our dog, a staff member came out without him and said “Bad news. He has a cough. We just heard it this morning. You’ll need to call your vet immediately.” When we finally saw him, he was super sick! His cough had progressed exponentially, which makes it hard to believe it had just started that morning. Sure, kennel cough is common enough, but we also found that he came home with paw infections, scratches, and patches of missing fur. We will absolutely not be boarding our dog here again and we are saddened to know that his experience was very poor.

I called for a furbaby sitter for my two cats. The first person said I'll call you back. The second person took my information but could not get my female cat's name right. The third person (really? 3. Yes. Really). Asked if we had dropped them off before. No. Then she called me honey. Are we dating? No. Are you hitting on me? Better not. I'm not interested, not is my husband interested in hearing about the girl who boards pets hitting on his wife. Hence the one star. Call people by Sir, miss, or ma'am. A lot of us are creeped out by being called honey.

We get our golden groomed here and he always looks absolutely amazing after! They listen to our requests and get us an appointment in such a timely manner compared to other groomers (most times the same week). Affordable and quality services!

After having a bad experience with another groomer, I thought I'd give hickory Springs Farm a try. Not only were the prices better, but everyone was a pleasure to deal with. My dog looked beautiful and was happy as good be. Glad I finally found my groomer!!!

Amy is a very talented groomer. She is very friendly, easy to work with and she's so kind, even with animals that are difficult. Her grooms are so nice. You really need to take your pet to her to have her groom it. The kennels are very clean and are well cared for.

BEST DECISION EVER TO MOVE TO HICKORY SPRINGS FARM OVER 10 YEARS AGO. We were referred to transfer to Hickory Springs by friends and they were right! I absolutely love and trust Hickory Springs Pet Farm . . . they are truly our extended family to our dog, Puff Daddy. They are kind and handle him with care. The entire staff has been wonderful for many many years - I have never been disappointed. (Puff Daddy is 15 years old) The Groomer, Amy EXCEPTIONAL she is wonderful and very talented and so friendly. Della has always be a treasure to my family in making sure we get the best opportunities and pricing whenever we board Puff Daddy - she looks out for his best interests and always calls me whenever there is an issue to alert me - even if I am on vacation. I love it!

We have taken three previous dogs and our current German Shepherd dog to Hickory Springs Farm Kennel over the past 25 years and been very pleased with the care our dogs have received. When we have had special requests for their care, they have gladly accommodated our needs. Our pets are always in excellent condition when we picked them up and in good spirits. We highly recommend Hickory Springs Farm Kennel!

Overall, we like Hickory Springs but we have contemplated going elsewhere because we hate that we can’t get our pet on Sundays. Wish they were open at least a few hours on Sunday or were an option to pay extra to pick up or drop off on Sunday. Also, we used to see the owners present but don’t see them around when we pick up and drop off anymore.

Bearded my dog here for 2 weeks. Great staff; very attentive and alert with the dogs. Prices are very reasonable. We did 1/2 days of doggie day care, walks, Kong treats plus a bath at the end and the price was still less than Wagsworth down the street. I feel 100% positive on my dogs experience here and would recommend.
