I was able to have a walk in appointment and did not have to wait long. However, I was not given much information about what was going on with my pet, I was given some medicine and told how to apply, and sent on my way. This clinic practices ear cropping which I feel is extremely unethical.

Never knew this place was open, was a walk- in, so I waited a little while.

PLEASE READ: There are many positive reviews highlighting the compassion and care provided at this animal hospital; however, please proceed with caution when deciding to bring your pet here. I also believed what I read in the reviews prior to bringing my puppy for her first check up. However, during my visit, Dr. Yang moved very quickly and diagnosed my puppy with a heart murmur without going into any details about her prognosis. Given that her check up took place right before the office closed, I attributed Dr. Yang ’s demeanor to the aforementioned circumstances and looked forward to giving him a second chance during my follow up visit on 11/5. Unfortunately on 10/25 I brought my puppy, who began showing sudden symptoms of respiratory distress, to the vet only to be told that Dr. Yang was in surgery and I would have to wait to be until 3pm to be seen. My 16 week old puppy’s condition was worsening by the minute, however, there did not appear to be any evident sense of urgency in helping me or my puppy in a clearly emotionally distressing situation. As I accepted the reality that my 16 week puppy was about to die, both the male receptionist and Dr. Yang told me to drive over 40 minutes away to the nearest animal hospital with a dying puppy. Although I am not a trained vet, signs of respiratory distress and failing health in animals and humans are fairly evident. The lack of compassion I experienced made the trauma of suddenly losing my puppy 10x worse. As a vet hospital, they should have done more or at least pretended to care about the issue at hand instead of dismissing us with such nonchalance. While there may have been nothing that could have been done to save my puppy's life, I would’ve appreciated the courtesy of being offered any medication that could’ve eased her suffering so she could pass peacefully. I would have also appreciated sitting with her as she passed instead of being forced to drive over 40 minutes when all knew what the outcome of my situation would likely be. The office was completely empty when I arrived, yet the courtesy was never offered. The compassion and understanding was non-existent. I even received a bit of hesitation from the receptionist as I asked for puppy pads to help control the bodily fluids she would later pass in the car. The receptionist finally met me at my car with the pads and simply said "Good Luck" as I prepared to drive off. My puppy took her final breaths in my car as I drove furiously to get her some actual help. I couldn’t hold her or say goodbye in the way that she truly deserved. I hope no one ever experiences the pain I feel. So again, please use extreme caution when deciding to bring your pets to Broad Street Animal Hospital. It appears compassion is only offered on select days to select clients in select circumstances. I intend to make this known to any and all pet owners I encounter.

Best Vet in Philadelphia..has professional and polite staff. I have since moved out of area in 2016. I still travel 30 miles to see this doctor for my animals.

Dr. Yang is the best vet I have ever taken my pets to. After my dog started to get a large lump on her tail, I took her to a different vet who said her tail needed to be amputated. I took her to Dr. Yang to get a second opinion, where he told me amputating her tail would cause more harm than good. He was able to remove the lump, and now a year later, never grew back. The staff at this office is also very kind, considerate, and helpful. And to top it all off, this vet is VERY affordable. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

I went here for the first time today for my dog to get her annual shots and the office and staff were Awesome! I highly recommend!???????? I had questions about my dog and the doctor gave me all of the information that I needed and made me feel comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back here from now on and bringing my other dog as well.????????????????????

Very disappointed i had a sick dog and was crying and trying to get info and see if my dog could be seen. He showed me no compassion and just suggested another place for me to go. She is no longer with me and if I get another dog I won't even call them for shots.

Have cared for 3 of my dogs (and by extension myself) since Dr. Marsh shut down. Expert, knowledgeable staff; the RECEPTIONIST (SHE'S GREAT!) knows more than most vets! They helped me immensely, thru the final 2 yrs. of my 17 yr. old, culminating last week, and I'm eternally grateful!

Love this place, walked in and walked out within a hour. The Dr. was attentive to my kitten and her scars are gone. She's back to her playful self.

I don't know what happened to this place. I been going there for years. They're have different vet physician there. I always have gotten a flea dip for my cat. That's what I made an appointment for The doctor refused to do it. Don't take your pet there!!! bring the back the 9ther get that was there.

Got my cat neutered here. A bargain with little wait time compared to other vets in the area. The procedure went as expected and my cat recovered successfully. The facilities are a little dated but fine otherwise for what you pay for.

Went with my cat this morning. Dr. Yang is really nice and thoughtful, he provided great advice for us. Front desk is friendly and the price is also fair! I am glad I found this place!

I had an urgent care situation but called here too late in the day to be serviced but this company gave me suggestions to other places so i give 5 stars just for referral & helping me to give care to an animal in need. I commend them & caring.

It was one of the hardest days of my life saying goodbye to my beloved Poppy of 14yrs. They ran test and Poppy had end stage kidney failure. They tried to help give him some comfort. I had to let him go this morning. What a joy Poppy was in my life❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Experience was good, I was a walk in with my dog, problem solved only problem was charging 25.00 for doing dog nails. Too high for a 7 lb. dog not hostile to getting her nails done. Was there for all her shots early in the year no charge because I spent 200.00 dollars.

I would not recommend this place for your pet, $45 dollars wasted, and nothing was done at all for my cat.

The Dr. Is not professional. His attitude is poor. He has no compassion for his customers all he was worried about was money not my cat. will never take another one of my pets there. I suggest any other vet but there.

The staff here are great. Rocky got his green tag today…along with nails clipped and his shots. Looking good! Staff supplied a printout of his shot history too. Rocky doesnt like to travel to the vet but the staff here handles him with care. They answer all my questions and he has been healthy for the last three years. The location is convenient too. A win-win!
