Colonial Animal Hospital is one of the most wonderful veterinary facilities that you can possibly take your beloved pet. Bob and Dr. Dan Rufus are an amazing team. I have used them for 30 years and for 4 different canines. They made me feel that they truly felt that my pets were truly special. They are full of compassion for the patients and their owners. If they detect a problem that is ore that they feel that is more than they can treat, they are extremely knowledgeable of specialists who can handle any pet health issue. Very nice reasonable and thorough

They manhandled my sweet old dog. They didn’t listen to how to get her attention and just grabbed her. The tech even admitted they don’t have enough time to dedicate to each of their patients.

Our 14 year old chihuahua got sick while we were visiting relatives in Media, and we brought her to Colonial at the recommendation of my in-laws. Dr. Rufus and his team were thorough, asked all the right questions, and put us immediately at ease while they examined our pup and helped us determine the right course of action for her illness. The assistant/receptionist was so incredibly gentle while aiding Dr. Rufus during our old girl’s examination, and we were impressed at how quickly she calmed with him. We are so happy with the care that our pup received at Colonial, and we highly recommend them for consistent, high-quality care!

Dr. Rufus and Bob have been taking care of our dog for four years now and have done an extremely stellar job keeping our dog in good health. They never hesitate to go the extra step to find time to see and exam our dog. We could not say enough about Dr.Rufus and Bob, if you are a new dog owner this is the place to go!

Dr. Rufus and Bob are the most caring professional people we have dealt with over the last 40years of owning our pets. They are not you typical Vet that has an assistant with a I pad advising you of the special of the month is and then hurting the animal in the process to run up the cost. Other major larger Vet Hospitals are an assembly line process with no feeling about your pet family. with Colonial it is about a doctor patient relationship and people who care.

The receptionist is very inconsiderate and rude. Laughing at clients on the phone is not how you get business.

This vet “hospital” has offered negligent care for two dogs at this point. He neglected to detect my Aussie’s Lymes disease that she died from two years ago. Now, my mother’s dachshund died three days ago because he couldn’t diagnose the respiratory issue. I warn anyone and everyone to never go to this place.
