unprofessional office staff vets leave alot to be desired

We recently switched vets in the last year and it was a really good decision. Everyone at the office is so friendly and helpful, and Dr. So is extremely thorough, patient, and kind. When I take our dog there I know that he will get the care he needs and that our concerns will be heard!

Excellent vet. Really cares about making your pet comfortable. Asks a lot of questions and makes sure you're happy with service before you leave. Fear free "happy visits" are recommended and I love that.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this practice! Our dog Bernie is a normally a scared pup and a royal pain in the *ss. But this practice goes the extra mile to ensure anxious animals are made to feel comfortable. We had our second visit that included a vaccine shot and a blood draw, and I honestly think he was sad to leave! He looks forward to coming here -- especially for the cheese-coated lick mat! Thanks for making Bernie feel comfortable and for helping him to build trust with a new vet!

Such caring and responsive staff!

This is a great vet Hospital. My pal Scotty had an ear infection that other vets missed and was really bothering him, DR D took care of it. Being a thorough person myself, immediately my reaction to DR DiGiacoma was positive and I was impressed with a DR that was top tier skilled, courteous, and kind. The staff treated Scotty and fantastically! Dave and Scotty HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our new puppy took no time at all to warm up to the staff at NSVH! He loved all of the attention and we loved how helpful everybody was in ensuring that our Argo gets the best care! The email follow-up/report was fantastic too as with new puppy we felt a little overwhelmed in what was the right course of action for our newest family member.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this practice. The facilities are welcoming and clean. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The vets themselves are smart and professional. I’m always able to make appointments to fit my schedule and I always get calls back quickly when I have concerns or questions. They take great care of our dogs and I will continue to recommend them to our local friends and family. Thank you NSVH for all you do for Grover and Mumford! They and we appreciate your hard work.

I’ve been to some bad vets over the years—but “Dr. D” (as she likes to be called)—is the top 2 worst experiences I’ve had: Arrogant. Condescending. Bedside manner: ZERO. Understanding of customer service: ZERO. Can’t think out of the box, medically, to save her life. The staff: some were great.. and others rude. I’m baffled how this clinic has the ratings that it does. Goes to show what some marketing dollars will do. If you love your pets; want a positive experience and actual “care” (which you wouldn’t be reading this otherwise) save your time and money and go elsewhere!

If I could give 0 I would I bring my 3 dogs here until today.My Pitty has allergies chews her paws raw it took 2 days to even get a call back just to be told NO we will not give her meds without a visit..I work 12 hour shifts which means they would rather let my dog suffer in pain for $$$$$ I told them I will schedule a appointment just as long as she can get her meds NO. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS.

We absolutely love Newtown Square Vet Hospital. They are so nurturing and kind. Our very large pup, Zoey, enjoys her vet visits. The staff is always available as well as happy, smart and welcoming. They are great with our energetic Swiss Mountain Dog and provides detailed instructions and notes after every visit. We are very happy with this practice and would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent vet that will not blow the bank.

I am so glad and thankful to have such a caring vet for my pup. The service provided exceeds any expectation. It is personalized and customized. Additionally, their positive reinforcement and fear free handling not only puts Mugsy at ease, it also puts me at ease.

The staff here is wonderful they are understanding, accommodating and so caring. Dr D. is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She helped so much today with explaining my cat Gigi’s diagnosis. We will be back soon. ❤️

I had my first visit to NSVH with Dr. So and I am blown away by her professionalism, thoroughness and kindness. She stayed on the phone with me for over 10 minutes to discuss important aspects of my pet's visit and to inform me of her overall health. She is everything you seek in a veterinarian and we look forward to working with her for many years!

With the many health issues my pup has had (frenchie with allergies), we’ve had many visits to NSVH over the last year, and they are simply the best! Dr D and her staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and compassionate. It’s clear that they care for my pup as much as I do.

NSVH always provides compassionate and professional. We met Dr. So for the first time and she was great. Dr. So shared great information with us and provided a detailed, written report that was very detailed. Vet visits are hard of my little rescue and the staff goes out of their way to understand and treat Kiwi with empathetic care. Thank you NSVH!

The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and show that they truly care about the wellness of your animals. I’ve been in a lot with one of my three dogs for skin issues and they’ve been beyond helpful in getting him on the road to recovery! And they also are great with accommodations if your pup doesn’t like other dogs. I can’t recommend them enough!

The staff is always willing to answer your questions and help out in any way they can. The customer service is wonderful!

Absolutely phenomenal place. Dr. DiGiacomo's experience speaks for itself and she has also put together a fantastic staff. They are professional, polite and efficient. I recently had my first appointment there with my dog and could not have been more pleased. I would recommend anyone who loves his/her pet(s) to use Newtown Square Vet.

Absolutely fantastic. My dog had a small procedure and they called me immediate following to update me about her status. When I picked her up they gave me plenty of resources and walked me through the entire procedure again. Icing on the cake was when they called the next day to check in on my pup. I had a quick question and the vet was unavailable but the vet tech called me later to answer my question! -ALL of the staff is incredibly nice and caring, patient and understanding -The office is VERY clean

We have tried other places to care for our pet, but Newtown Square proved to be the best! Dr So was wonderful with me and Fiona. The office answered all of my questions and Dr So was very caring and very thorough with Fiona's examination. Would recommend to anyone who wants excellent care for their pet.

Friendly, compassionate, and modestly priced—I love being here. They allow full day drop-offs if you can't stay with your pet, which is a great option. I highly recommend this vet.

NSVH is the best vet in the area! They took such good care of my dog when he was sick, and they updated me very throughly along the way. I felt like my dog was in the best hands. Their staff is so friendly and kind, and they really know how to care for your pet. The quality of service I experienced was incredible and I recommend this place to all pet owners!

Great experience at Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital! Dr. DiGiacomo and vet tech answered all my questions and we're very knowledgeable. ????

Be warned of this office! They are more concerned with their social media accounts ( facebook, instagram and who knows what else) than with actually providing medical care to animals in need. They offer no emergency hours, no weekends and no holiday coverage, plus the entire office closes down for parties ( yup read their social media) a real professional practice LOL what a joke! They send you to HOPE Animal HOSPITAL in Malvern for anything outside of their "bankers hours". I write this review just over 2 months after our 4 1/2 year old beloved dog died 40 hours after being seen at this office by Dr. So. Despite providing an in-depth time line for the 4 days leading up to his visit, despite the office refusing to accommodate my request to have a vet see my dog a day earlier when he was coming in for a scheduled nail trim because he was not feeling well, despite not performing requested tests; abdominal x-ray & blood work, Dr. So did none of the requested and gave Jaxson a clean bill of health her diagnosis "Jaxson seems to be having a little bit of gastrointestinal upset causing him to have decreased appetite and diarrhea", additionally she claimed to have "fecal sample for a comprehensive parasite screening, and we will contact you with the results when they become available" that's a joke, I decided on my own to provide a stool sample it was never requested or suggested by the office and second I was never contacted with the results I contacted them after Jaxson died for the results and they were negative for everything! Dr. So not only mis diagnosed Jaxson but she mis- treated him as well and never even had the decency to review his labs or reach out to me. I never said in. my time line that Jaxson had diarrhea and who in their right mind would recommend an oral med to a patient that is vomiting? How could a vet not notice swollen lymph nodes? When we brought Jaxson to the ER vet the next night they asked "How long has he been sick , I presented Dr. So's report from a day earlier. Once they ran the tests they saw he had widespread disease most likely cancer. Jaxson probably would have died even if Dr. So had been competent vet but she treated my dog without any humanity or compassion she disregarded his moms concerns, dogs can not speak for themselves! Furthermore, Jaxson had been in this office for his annual visit less than 3 months ago and was also given a clean bill of health at that time as well. The owner of the practice Dr. DiGiacomo contacted me and told me that she has been practicing medicine for 15 years and she would have done exactly what Dr. So did, I guess that means be uncaring and incompetent and not actually examine the patient. I asked for my money to be refunded and I said I would give them the name of the shelter I would like the money that I paid for his incompetent care to be donated to and Dr. DiGiacomlo said "I WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY", she is nasty and rude (read other reviews and I wish I had done my due dilligence before ever stepping foot into this joke of an animal hospital. Do yourself a favor RUN RUN RUN away as far and as fast as you can this is a horror show a place where nightmares are made. Useful Funny Cool
