Companion Animal hospital Mount Joy, Pennsylvania

It's a bit of a drive for us so Companion hasn't been our primary vet. But our pittie needed surgery which wasn't an option at our normal vet. I will say that Dr. Libby is the best! Our dog just had orthopedic surgery (TPLO) and we got frequent updates two from Dr Libby himself. He is excellent at what he does and has a very caring and genuine demeanor. All the staff at Companion that we encountered were very kind and helpful.

Our pups love it here! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable!

Been taking my cats there for about 12 years and I've never had an issue. I will always use Companion as long as I live in the area.

I just got a bag of dog food. Nice atmosphere. Very pleasant.

We decided to come here after having a bad experience at our old vet and we are so glad we did. They took their time through the exam and explained things to us multiple times to make sure we understood what they were explaining to us! Very friendly employees. They made us and my puppy feel welcomed.

Most of the vets here are great! The staff is helpful and friendly. They are great at making accomodations to best serve your individual pet. Our dog hates being restrained so they made sure to avoid restraint, were as gentle as possible, and let him stay in the room with me for his vaccines and blood draw even though it took extra time and made their job more difficult. They have an amazing relationship with my elderly cat who they provide the best care for. They are pricier than other vets I've used but very worth the extra money! I have never trusted a veterinary office this much.

Thus place is wonderful. Everyone who works there is so kind. It is very relaxing and everything is explained so well!

Called my 3 lb rescue kitten a “demon” and promised me same day test results that they did not deliver. Do NOT recommend. Very overpriced as well.

The staff at Companion Animal Hospital are all so caring and compassionate. I feel like my pets are in good hands here.

Each time we visit we are on time for our appointment and are left waiting in the waiting room for at least 45 min. The last visit was a preop visit and my husband had to leave because he was waiting in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 min! There were 5 people in and out at the front desk and no one updated him on the status of his appointment. Our dog had a skin tag on her lip that was bleeding and she was shivering and crying the whole time. Very disappointing experience!

Very expensive, and judgemental staff. Decided to hold off on $500 worth of bloodwork on a senior cat who had a sniffle and just try antibiotics first. Immediately the staff did a 180 in the way they treated me. Friendly and welcoming staff were suddenly rude and snippy to me. $20 cleared up my little guys upper respiratory infection. He's happy and healthy. Beware, this place will not work with you unless you're willing to spend a lot of money right away.

They over charged me based on the amount they told me in the room and wasn't very helpful when I was in a panic for my little dog. They didn't want to stay longer to help and made me go to animal emergency. They couldn't give me any answers.

They provided excellent care for our 2 dogs for 14 years, including euthanasias.

I left 3 messages to get an appointment for a vaccination. Noone ever returned my call. I'm relieved it wasn't an emergency!

My dog is notoriously difficult at the vet, but they fit her in last minute on a Saturday for an urgent care visit! Didn't make me feel anxious or more upset because of my reactive dog. Their team rocks!

The vet and tech that attended to Cosmo were fantastic. I would see her again she was amazing thank you for helping Cosmo and finding the bee stinger we appreciate all you have done for us ????

Pushy doctors make feel like you don't care for your animals

Friendly, good communication and explanation of diagnosis and recommended treatment, without pushing it on you, up front about cost so you don't get sticker shock at check out. That being said they have the lowest prices locally i have found... BUT HEY IT'S A VET/HOSPITAL AND YOUR PETS CARE/ LIFE AIN'T CHEAP... even when he chooses to actually eat rocks...

We have used numerous vets in the area and Dr. NISSLEY is just the best. She genuinely cares and explains whats going on without talking down to you. We have had a lot of heartache with losing 2 pets and we have got so much love and support from the staff here.

They are very helpful and Compassionate when it comes to you Furry pets! From and kind of funny friends. I have known Dr. Libby and his Animal Hospital for at least 30 years or more. They have helped me and my family from Cats to Mini Lop Rabbit and also a Senior Beagle Dog. The great staff and doctors there are wonderful. The care that is given to you and your pet is as important to them as if it was there own pet. Thank you, Doctors and Staff for everything you give and do for all of us and our Furry pets! We Appreciate You!

The doctors here are so nice...and very good at what they do. They fully explain and listen to your concerns. I would recommend taking your pet here.

My boy Blue loves it here. They really care about your pet and their service desk is wonderful.

Everyone was so incredibly compassionate and it was clear they genuinely cared about my pets. We had an emergency visit and were delayed due to bad traffic. They were understanding even though we were late as a result and still took time to explain treatment options and take care of our sick kitty. They go above and beyond consistently!

I had to bring my 13 year old cat in as he was sick. The staff was very caring and informed me that he was too ill to be saved. We decided a few days at home before brining him in to be put to sleep. But he passed a day later. I was given the option of cremation alone which I took And I was please try surprised at the results. I was handed a beautiful wood box with his ashes inside his name and a small flower plus a condolence card. Also the office had his pawprint put in a clay base with another card. I have a second cat and he will be going there as well they are high in some costs but well worth the price for a loved one
