Well if $140 just to be seen isn’t ridiculous enough. My dog had to be seen because she ingested some medical marijuana and had a hard time standing. I was completely judged by the staff and the doctor was EXTREMELY RUDE while discussing …

FOR OWNER/ Dr. Kim "Joan" refused to take a mess. for the vet to call me concerning my dog's treatment. Would appreciate it if owner/Dr. Kim would call me . You know what ...Joan was so ignorant that the BBB, the Pennsylvania Board of Licensing and an attorney can resolve this abusive treatment. RUN FROM THESE $400.00 per x-ray clowns!

Do not bring your pet here. The staff was completely rude and unprofessional. They completely dismissed our dog who later got sick again and we made the foolish mistake of bring them back the same day. They now after initially dismissing my pet found discovered our pet had a serious condition. The vet callously told us our pet was on her deathbed. Zero bedside manner. They were mean, rude and again lacked professionalism. We were able to transfer our pet to a vet in Harrisburg and saved her life.

Before they were bought out this review would be 5 stars. They have saved many of the rescue animals in my care. I am forever grateful to the staff of RAETC, and sincerely thank them for helping animals. Nothing but the best for them- I have found them to be stellar techs and vets. However, since they’ve been bought out, their service has been unreliable. It used to be 24hr, now it’s 10am to 10pm. Every time I have called them with an emergency this year I was told they’re an urgent care service and to bring the animal to Shores for emergency treatment. I do not believe that RAETC can call itself an animal emergency trauma center anymore. If they do still handle trauma cases it’s not consistent day to day. Working in rescue, I cannot rely on them to treat emergency cases. In the future I will always go to Shores first, and that’s a shame because Rossmoyne is not only closer to me, but has excellent veterinary staff.

Called this place before we brought our cat. The desk agent said to bring the cat in. We came to the door to an empty parking lot. Rang the doorbell and a bald man came to the door. Before we even could describe what was wrong with our pet he was talking about only coming here for euthanasia. We asked him "how do you even know what's wrong with him? We didn't tell you and we're standing outside the building" We explained the first details about what's wrong and before we could say the rest, he was already dismissing us to go somewhere else. Terrible business, and a rude employee. This business would do better than to dismiss someone's family member and business. Now we know why the parking lot was empty and this place as a 3 star review. As you can see with other one star reviews, they did the exact same thing to each one of them. Went and told the owners that the pets just need put down. Don't do business at this place.

Thought this was an emergency vet, but i guess it’s not. I called five hours before they were set to close and they said my dog’s condition sounds too serious for them. Huh? So is this an emergency vet? Guess not. So drove an hour to York who took him right away no questions asked. If it was too busy I get it, but to be dismissed and treated that way after barely talking to me, not good business.

I seen a lot of bad reviews but I have nothing but praise for those who served me and took excellent care of our 15 mth old lab mix ! My poor dog had broken her toenail at the base of the nail. The nail was still partially attached bleeding, and she was in obvious pain! I called all the emergency vet locations I knew of in my area at 7 pm in the evening! After finding all emergency services not taking patients do to abundant emergencies, I searched the internet and found rossmoyne animal emergency vets ! I called them and I explained I couldn’t find help anywhere, they said that if I could get there before they close at 10pm they would see her! I arrived before 10pm and I was greeted at the door and taken into a room immediately! After giving a short health history and explanation of injury, she was taking back and treated quickly! Then the vet herself came in and explained the treatment and future care plan! Shortly after the tech. Brought our Doro into the room with her and gave us her medication and again went over the treatment plan made sure I knew what to do! Then came the bill, I was shocked and I will say it was cheaper than my vet ????! I told my sister who was helping me locate treatment for her, about the fee and she said the same thing about her vets fee being more than I paid!! So long story short, I have nothing but praise for the entire service provided and for the entire wonderful staff ! Doro and My family appreciate you all so much HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Not happy at all. $1746 and they couldn't do actual surgery on our cat! What's the point of the name "Animal Emergency Trauma Center". Had to take him to Shores.

I took my cat to Rossmoyne, and they were gracious enough to see her even though they closed in two hours. To preface - my cat is a senior lady with early stages of kidney failure. I took her to Rossmoyne because I suspected she had a UTI, and my normal vet couldn’t see her for two weeks. Upon entering and being directed to a room, one of the employees who was sitting at the front counter told me that due to my cat’s age and history that she would in all likelihood need hospitalized for $400 a night and possibly put down. She said all of this without ever looking at my cat, or anyone conducting an exam. I became very upset because I was not prepared to put her down. The nurse and vet came in, did the exam, and my cat had a few issues that they gave me prescriptions for, but nothing that required hospitalization or putting her down. The vet and nurse were both so nice, but I have to rank Rossmoyne one star after that initial conversation. How do you tell a pet owner that there’s a good chance their animal will have to be put down without even having an examination done??

Waited for hours and left. Not cool.

Though the wait times are excessive, due to covid, they were very professional and courteous. My dog had an altercation with another dog and had a puncture wound that festered over 6 hours. They patched her up and she is just fine, now.

WARNING: Difficult/disturbing photos/description for sensitive readers. I wish that I could say that I had the same experience with Rossmoyne as Ashley Butler and any others who are still able to hold their pets close. Unfortunately, my sweet baby boy, an innocent 16 week old kitten has DIED. My kitten passed on last evening only less than 8 hours after being completely DISMISSED AND NEGLECTED by Rossmoyne and staff who COULD HAVE helped save his life but after giving false hope, failed to do so. At 11am I called regarding an unexpected visible health concern as he had become suddenly severely lethargic, listless, showing signs of dehydration due to diarrhea thought to be caused by a change in his food brand. I called and was cut off mid sentence rudely. I was mislead over the phone and told to come right in. Upon arriving within 10 minutes of that call, his condition worsened with foaming at the mouth producing an odor and inability to stand or hold his head up and it appeared to be potentially fatal at this point and further miscommunications continued by a number of disorganized staff members. First my cat was looked at in his crate by a staff member who provided me with intake papers that I filled out and took my kitten in his crate into the facility as I waited at my car with my two year old son. I was then lead to believe he was being checked in so I took my son out of the car and proceeded to the entryway where I was kindly provided with a face mask by one staff member and then another taller balding male very rudely and dismissively waved his hand at us in a shooing manner and said “it’s non life threatening it’s a UTI you’ll have to wait or try his vet” and abruptly went back inside. A very kind young man presented me a list of phone numbers to other hospitals to try, first being Shores who I called immediately but was told I would be looking at a 6 hour wait for non life threatening issues. Helplessly I drove from Rossmoyne to my home only 8 minutes away and called around to every veterinary hospital and clinic possible only to be told it sounds like a run of the mill UTI based on the symptoms I described as I watched my kitten rapidly declining by the minute in front of my two year old son and only being offered appts days out as he’s suffering/unresponsive in visible need of immediate care. I called rossmoyne again pleading his case and was dismissed yet again that their doctor would be in surgery for 2 hours and he couldn’t even be checked in over the phone as I drove 8 min back to wait the two hours(best option by now) In a panic I reached out to Shores once more and demanded not to be put on hold and insisted that this WAS clearly a life or death emergency and was kindly instructed to bring him in immediately. Shores staff were nothing short of professional, compassionate and showed a completely genuine concern for the welfare of my kitten. Within 30 minutes of arrival I had already been updated with prognosis info and offered many lab treatment options and very thorough and detailed explanations about EVERYTHING including a sit down conversation with detailed information regarding his lab results and what they meant, however by now his prognosis was very poor and survival unlikely as he was suffering from hypothermia by now just 4 hours after my initial trip to rossmoyne. It was made clear that he should not have been dismissed with the ASSUMPTION of a “just a UTI”without even a glance. This man at rossmoyne should not be allowed to retain his license or “treat” animals ever again. This disgusting disregard for my cat has now resulted in his untimely death and he suffered greatly and unnecessarily. Every moment counted today and 4 hours were lost to countless phone calls deflecting us away despite my desperate pleas for help. Thanks to IGNORANT SPECULATION of my cats condition. 4 hours where my sweet baby boy could have gotten the help needed to save his LIFE. Rossmoyne will be held accountable for their part in my families loss.

I had a great experience at Rossmoyne! My cat was very ill and my vet wouldn't be able to see him until the end of the week and recommended calling this place to have him seen. When I called they said it would be an hour to 2 hour wait because of Covid rules and only having one vet for the day which is understandable. I went in and waited about 20 minutes for a room and was out in about an hour. The staff was very kind and helpful! They really cared for my cat, kept me informed and answered any questions I had. They were thorough with after care instructions and the medications he would be taking.I would recommend this place. Very impressed!

Friendly and compassionate staff. Obviously I didn't want to have to bring my dog here in an emergency situation, but they made it all a much easier experience.

My dog has a paw-pad injury on both of her front legs. No normal local vet would see her promptly, so I called Rossmoyne and they told me to bring her in. We didn't have to wait at all and were in-and-out in a timely manner. All the staff seemed friendly. Will definitely go to this vet again if the situation arrises.

Don’t bother coming here if it’s a true emergency. Waited over an hour to be seen, only to be told ONE person is allowed back at a time. I had to sit outside in the heat while I’m seven months pregnant. They show no concern for their patients and based upon other recent reviews, many people have had horrible experiences here.

Most horrible experience I have ever had with a veterinarian provider. Staff was disrespectful and dismissive of my concerns for my cat. I wouldn’t have brought her there if something wasn’t wrong and the staff merely looked in the crate and said “she looks fine “ “ she’s not gonna die on you”. ….. considering she was matted in her own vommit, purrring continuously, and laying limp I don’t know what they were seeing that I wasn’t. They then expected me to wait with the sick cat in the car for a six hour wait time and when I drove off to get her water and miralax because that’s absurd… they wouldn’t see her because we “left the premises.” I don’t even know what to do next. It’s Saturday & the other emergency vets I’ve called are hours away and also with prolonged wait times. Don’t even bother with this place it’s really not even an option if you need help.

Worst, coldest, unprofessional, screw-ups I've ever met in my life especially in any medical field. They killed my ESA companion by dening him treatment for heat stroke cause i didnt have a credit card to hand them. They put him down n told me i could pick up his ashes on thurs. 2 mos later im still waiting for them. Told me they would call when his ashes showed up. 2 half mos later they tell me there was a mix up n I can't get his ashes. They would only return 1/2 my money.

My dog had a small rock in her toe from daycare and was bleeding a bit, called them at 7:21 and asked if I could bring her. A women answered the phone and said if I got there before 8 and filled out paperwork before 8 they would take her. Once we got there at 7:43 they told us they weren’t taking dogs tonight. It was a huge waste of time and I could have taken my dog somewhere else to get her checked out. Never even saw a doctor but I wouldn’t recommend from the lack of communication they clearly have.

Thank you for seeing my two barn kittens today. One had an eye injury and I suspected both had ring worm. Professional friendly staff, the vet tech was very personable. She had great customer service skills.

I was turned away with them not even asking what was wrong with my pet and then given other ER info for the area.

I called ahead to make sure they would accept my animal in her condition. After getting a very friendly phonecall stating yes! Please bring her in. I was previously rejected by two other places before hand. I drove 45 minutes to have the doctor come outside and say no. Im sending you to the ER I can't do anything. He didn't even examine her. He just went on the same description I gave his receptionist who. May cat may pass away because of their lack of communication within the joint and lack of respect for people
