Banfield has always been good to my pets & taken great care of them, however, since reopening since the covid shut downs, they have definitely not had the same excellent level of care they showed before the shut downs. The dr that used to see my dog is no longer there & we really loved her. They are great with my dog now, but just do not seem to show the level of concern or caring to make sure everything is scheduled properly, or that they are not costing a client extra out of pocket who currently is a wellness plan customer. I would definitely recommend them for veterinary care, drs just aren't the most personable. The rest of the staff are very friendly though.

Voicemail from Banfield Pet Hospital Mechanicsburg employee in reference to what I called in for. I will save this for Corporate because i have never had someone call me,and tell me they didn’t write down what I called in for, so just call now and I’ll help you out. Who trained you Eileen?? Wow!

Took a sick kitten here. After years of donating lol! They told me there's nothing they can do I could put it down for over 150$. It was a stray. Couldn't find help anywhere. Would never in my right mind donate another dollar to this corporation! Will also be shopping somewhere else. And spend my 500$ toy budget a month somewhere else!

Mechanicsburg is the WORST Banfield facilities in the USA. I have had Banfield Wellness Insurance for about 6 years and I’m cancelling it now. The Mechanicsburg facilities personnel’s lack of professionalism, lack of veterinarians and poor services almost costs my dog’s life. You have to wait months to obtain appointments to conduct the preventive services provided (charged) by the plan and when on need of a consultation appointment or to check your pet, they refer you to a ER or other clinic as they ate too busy, even when the issue us not considered an emergency by any other vet or even the ER. Lack of empathy, consideration and respect distinguish them from all other Banfield facilities.

My sweet but large and loud German shepherd mix has come here the past 2 years for checkups and vaccines. The staff has always been super friendly and they are great with my big, standoffish fur baby. He loves them! As a bonus, their prices are MUCH more reasonable than his former vet and they don't look at me like I have two heads if I ask for a price on something in advance. Elmer and I are grateful for you ladies, thank you!!

Banfield has always been the place I take my animals. Vets and staff are always caring. I've lost a few over the years. The staff was there with opens arms of compassion.

I had a very very very disappointing 1st visit to this location ????. I made the appointment nearly a month ago and felt lucky because with COVID many vets are not accepting new clients. I adopted my sweetheart in December and had been searching since then so I could take her in for a wellness check-up. Heather called the day before the appointment as a reminder and also asked that I being whatever records I have since she is new. She also stated that this would be a curbside appointment, "we'll come out and get her while you wait outside." All instructions she gave were clear and understood and I showed up prepared and early! I called to let them know I had arrived and provided them answers to their intake questions. At this point it was 2 minutes before my scheduled appointment. The lady then told me ... "I'll put you on a brief hold and a nurse will be right with you". 22 minutes after that the hold ended with the service telling me that I've reached their voice-mail ... please leave a message ???? ... and I did: "I'm confused with this 1st time visit. We have been sitting here for 20 minutes, it's hot and I don't understand why I'm leaving a message." I call back and they claim they were getting ready to call me ... (yah right). I tell them for the 3rd time what kind of dog I have ... (American Pit Bull) and that's when the nurse tells me I can just come get her records and see if she needs anything instead of bringing her in. I was livid at this point and tell the lady I can read her records I know she is up to date but I'm trying to be responsible adoptive parent and bring her in to make sure she's doing good and if there is anything I need to be concerned with! After she agrees to come get her for the appointment I drove 20 minutes in a storm for and waited an additional 20 minutes to be spoken to ... she proceeds to try and sell me a wellness package ????. And to drive the nail in harder ... They didn't even talk to me about anything they noted on the checkup. ???? Well I take that back, they spoke about the items that costed money and were more concerned with whether I could pay. ???? That said, I will never take my sweetheart back here and most likely never shop at petsmart since they seem to be insensitive about the entity attached to them. Banfield is equivalent to a puppy mill; only concern with how they'll get paid. ✌????

Pet owners beware. Do not use the Banfield Mechanicsburg location!!!! Called 3 days in a row to talk to a vet. Received numerous reasons as to why the call was not returned from too busy, to didn't check their board, to too busy again and not in the office. Pets have a Banfield plan. Their master died as a result of an accident and are having a difficult time adjusting to new household. Someone recommended a food to calm and relieve stress. Foid requires vet approval. Unfortunately they are too busy to care about an animal's well being.

Banfield Pet Hospital is great! They are so kind and even doing the curbside drop off and pick up you can really see how much they care about the animals. I highly recommend going to Banfield for any pet needs!

Literally the worst. They don't care about your animal. They will run you around in circles for weeks and multiple visits for your money and NEVER have an answer for the problem. They have terrible customer service and they are very rude. Highly recommend against this place.

The staff is one of the best things about Banfield that holds up well for our animals. They're always willing to greet you with a smile and upbeat demeanor. They're truly friendly with the animals and it shows in how well they treat them through some of the worst troubles you may encounter with your fur babies, from broken bones to occasional illness and discomfort. They've even helped out with rowdy dogs that tend to pee or poo on the floor due to over-excitement or what-have-you. Not that you should expect it, but it's a load off our minds when we're trying to wrangle a rascally dog. But they have great plans to pay over long periods for dog and cat treatments, which can really help the budget. Well worth the visit as their regular physicians.

I have a slightly troubled dog. He gets scared when he knows he has to go to the vet. I try to hold back my anxiety when I have to take him to the vet because nobody wants their dog to be a butt. But the team here at the mechanicsburg Banfield was so patient, kind, and loving with my Jake dog. They worked with me on making his experience not so traumatizing. I’m so grateful I brought my dog to them.

I applied and Sharon is absolutely rude. she cannot take into consideration that i have a second job. i thought i was applying part time and here she made it full time. they consider 30 hours full time when legally full time starts at 34-35 hours. she basically wants me to quit my other job so i can be sure to work 6-7 days a week when max days are 3-4 because of the 30 hour cap. she is two faced. she told me tons of people are quitting or going to another location. well it all makes sense as to why. i do not recommend anyone applying to this location.

Heather, the child, that answers the phone, was completely out of line and rude. Hung up on me and when I called back she swore she didn’t. My dog had an ear infection and they couldn’t see him for two weeks. I asked if she could see if the vet could issue the medication, and I would bring him in for the Feb 17th appointment. Even offered to pre-pay. But he needed relief. She was argumentative with me and said “typically the vet doesn’t do this”. Ok. Well check with the vet, right. I mean every situation is different. Let’s ask the vet and see what they say. She was very unprofessional. I later received a phone call back saying the vet could see my dog. (Phone call was at 4 o’clock I had called at 9::15am). I just wound up taking him back to my old vet. Who got me right in and remedied the ear infection. Needless to say, I won’t be taking my dogs back to Banefield. My dog was in pain and the girl didn’t care and was extremely rude to me. Actually she told me I was arguing with her. lol. I’m sorry. I thought I was the customer. I own a business and if anyone spoke to my clients like that on the phone. They would be terminated. Don’t take your pets here. They don’t care about anything but the money. Just my two cents.

One time, I brought my rabbit in to see what was wrong with him. On the table he started gasping for air. They PUSHES me to euthanize him. $60 or something like that and I dont think they ever did it. I think they let him die on his own and stole my money. when asked if I could go back to say goodbye as they gave him his death medicine, they said no...it wasnt permitted. WHAT THE HECK kind of vet doesnt allow the pet owner to be with their animal as they are put down. Never will I look at this "hospital" as a good place. Mistreatment of me, my deceased animal and theft. Never again!

The website says $175 for getting a cat spayed but the girl on the phone said $400-$500. False advertisement. Not to mention she kept cutting me off. Ridiculous you make it so unaffordable to do a simple surgery.

I decided to leave it, service is horrible, never has a doctor available, only young unprofessional people taking the pets with a horrible customer service, including the office manager. Who knows how they treat the pets inside. I had 2 preventive care a year and unlimited appointments, well... they never have time available, even if it is an emergency. One of my cats lost a preventive care that is included because if their mistake, that at the end “ was my fault”. I started with the plan on 2012 with my first cat, I had issues in the past... because there is never a doctor to talk to about the pets. With my second cat, a 21 lbs cat, we noticed he started losing weight. Whoever reviewed my cat gave me the papers for 3 months stating that “ he was losing weight- great job”.... my cat we t dowm to 8 lbs and was not a good job, HE WAS DYING.... I had to take him to a real vet, it was when the dr told me the critical situation of my cat. I decided to leave Banfireld. It is enough! I decided to go to a local vet where my cats will be treated great, plus I will support a small business. For Banfield our pets are a number, no empathy, they are not reliable. Customer service is the worse, staff is horrible

I brought my pitbull mix to Banfield yesterday for a check up and vaccines. I was worried about their curbside service--implemented due to COVID--because my dog is very anxious at baseline and she gets fiesty around other dogs. The staff was so friendly and they did a great job with working to her comfort. Everything went off without a hitch: I checked in and paid over the phone, a nurse came to get my dog, and she was in and out within 20 minutes. Thank you, Banfield, for working with my nervous pup!

I got a new kitten last year and she has had some issues since and I have been to this clinic a few times. They have been great with her. They have a great fee (50 something) and first visit is free. I've been here a few times and even during covid with things hard, they've been great.
