Diane Hodges, DVM - Happy Tails Animal Hospital Lancaster, Pennsylvania

I recently switched to this vet practice as my mother is a current client and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Dr. Hodges is a knowledgeable and friendly veterinarian who goes the extra mile in explaining things in a way that is easy to understand regarding your pet’s medical concerns. The vet technicians and front desk staff are also exceptional and treat you as a friend rather than just someone walking in to give you business that day. The office atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and as someone who doesn’t deal well with change I was a bit reluctant to switch practices but I’m very happy that I did. Shout out to Kylie who is especially caring towards my pets as well as my mother’s animals ❤️

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Place if you are looking for a good vet as well as Affordable...All the staff are very friendly. The place was very clean... Very busy place but Quick with service.. Never had to wait at an appointment..

The Dr. and staff are very nice, they take their time with you and your pet, and answer your questions in terms you understand.

Super friendly staff! They really make sure you understand what's going on especially since they're doing curbside appointments and take your pet inside without you. **Updated I am taking away a few stars. Their prices are unaffordable. The cost to get your cat spayed is the highest out of all of the local vets that I contacted by an additional $300. I would not recommend.

Very nice place. Very clean. My cat is extremely shy, antisocial, and afraid of everyone. They took good care of him. Kept him calm and were as gentle as they could be.

My first experience with happy tails was today, and let me tell you, my boy was nervous. Dr. Hodges was incredibly understanding. Every employee there that I spoke with truly loves animals. I had always gone to another vet, but no more. I was truly impressed, and I look forward to working with them again. Thank you sooooo much Dr. Hodges! You are amazing!

I started out feeling like I had a really good relationship with the vet and this clinic. I had been encouraged to do emails, to ask questions, be involved in my dog’s care, etc. Unfortunately, after today, I learned that none of their approach was genuine. When I had forgotten something that was needed for an apt this afternoon (free libre sensor), I was railroaded with unprofessional conduct by both the tech, Morgan, and the vet, Dr. Hodges. I am completely shocked and taken aback by how they have handled this situation—and because of this will be seeking out a new provider. I am passionate about the care of my senior dog and if you are too, about any of your fur babies, then I would highly recommend that you do NOT go here. I am extremely disappointed with this latest interaction.

Great vet! They take care of our Maddie so well and always make sure to cater to her special needs! We won't use any other vet.

I absolutely love Happy Tails. Both my dogs go there and they receive the best care. They go above and beyond for their clients and their pricing is reasonable. We have mostly seen Dr Hodges and she’s fantastic. You can tell that everyone in the office truly cares for animals and treats them like one of their own. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

Dr. Hodges and her staff are amazing. Three years ago my chihuahua became incredibly ill. When he finally pulled through, we realized we had a long road of recovery ahead of us. Unfortunately we couldn't find the right doctor to help us. We went through specialist after specialist. They tried up charging us by thousands of dollars and dismissed every concern that we had for our dog. That's when Dr. Hodges stepped in. She agreed to help us the best she could as long as we were open minded. Her, my husband and I worked as a team for almost 2 years keeping my dog alive. She was always available by phone or email for any concern that we had. She always made us feel as if we were her top priority. She would listen to our suggestions and we'd make a decision together on his care. We were never excluded or left in the dark about his treatment. Dr. Hodges was a huge comfort in those last few months of my dog's life. Without her, he would have died long before that. She was the reason we had those extra precious moments with him, and for that we will forever be grateful. The rest of the staff is just as accommodating. Over the years, Molly's voice has become a sense of peace for us. She was always the first we'd interact with each time. She made sure we were completely satisfied and taken care of every time we spoke. The techs, Brett and Marissa, would always great my baby as if he was their own. Marissa was especially valuable in my dog's diabetic care. She spent one on one time with us to show us how to correctly administer his insulin, and she would always be the first to call me back answering all my questions and concerns. Over the past 6 years, the staff at Happy Tails Animal Hospital have become family to my husband and I. They have a great deal of love to give each and every pet/owner that arrives in the building. They will do their best to make you feel as comfortable as possible during any process.

I love the staff at Happy Tails. They are very good at caring for our cat Squiggles. We're very happy with their service.

We had our great dane spayed with Dr. Hodges a couple months ago... excellent experience! Today we were there for our first appointment with Dr. Battah at this location. We knew we wouldn't be disappointed! Every staff member I have encountered has been exceptionally pleasant and very professional! I would HIGHLY recommend this Veterinary office!

We've been taking our pups here for 5 years and we continue to have outstanding experiences. Dr. Hodges is a natural when interacting with animals and people, and she is a top-notch vet. The entire office staff is professional and friendly - it is obvious that they love and understand animals and will make all who walk through the door feel welcome. If you want to feel at ease because your pet is in great hands, this is the place to go!

I highly recommend this place! They are a great veterinarian who generally cares. They personally take the time to get to know your pet. They all have a huge heart for animals and it shows in the care they give. I love bringng my animals here and definitely dont hesitate recommending this place to all my family and friends!

Dr. Hodges and her team are absolutely the best!!! We have been regulars now for 5 years with our two pups. They are always professional, super thorough, and friendly. Prices are fair and facility is always clean. We recently adopted a new baby after losing our oldest last year. She is a special needs rescue and the team was so sweet and careful with her. I just cannot say enough positive...we would not trust our babies to anyone else. Give them a try, you will not be sorry.

Molly or Holly at the front desk is super sweet. The Vet assistant Kaylie was nice and took care of my pup! With the Covid pandemic, they still took on a new puppy client. Very reasonable pricing and great staff! I could ask for better for my fur baby!
