Hopewell Veterinary Hospital Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

This place is only good if you have an appointment weeks in advance but if you have an emergency and need help, their answer is always no. They say they will call you back and they don’t and they are incredibly unreliable. They never have available appointments for anything urgent/ walk-ins. If you need anything other than a vaccine, go anywhere else because Hopewell will not help you.

If you love your pet at all, this is the last place to take them. When my dog was dying last year, they couldn’t see her for over a week. My current dog has been crying for three days with an ear infection and when I called to buy the meds he needs, they told me that they had to see him but couldn’t for at least 2 days. They are unreliable and rude. When I asked to speak to a higher-up, they said that “if I didn’t like their services I could go elsewhere”. If that is the level of professionalism you want for your pet, this is the vet for you. If you want your pet to suffer until they decide they can do you the favor of giving you an appointment, give them a call. I am only giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option.

Doctor never called back. They just weren't very helpful.

We have a border collie who is afraid of people. She chased a squirrel 2 years ago and broke her leg. We took her to our old vet and were told she needed surgery at CARES in Langhorne and would cost about $4000. We had 2 kids in college and could not afford this. A friend recommended Dr. Rutkowski and Hopewell. We went there. He did the surgery for a lot less and she is running and playing now with no problem. She also likes going to the vet. She runs across the parking lot to get inside. She didn't do this at the last vet. We recommend Dr. Rutkowski and Hopewell.

I don't know how they do it but they are always fast and reliable. The staff are all friendly and sweet. Julie (Julia?) in particular stood out to me. I've been coming here for years and always will.

I love this place. Dr. Rutkowski saw our pup from 8 weeks until he passed at almost 13 years. I recommend highly. Tender, caring and they know their stuff.

I love the staff and vets at Hopewell. They are so kind and compassionate in the care of my cats. They have always taken the good care of them at reasonable prices, and the doctors work long and hard to give good quality care. The hours of operation are very flexible and reasonable, so it is easy to get your animal there at a time that works for you. My cats have always been treated with respect and gentleness. I love the vets and staff at this place.

You’re not gonna be impressed by a high tech state of the art facility here. But if you’re looking for a caring staff, a well-run operation, knowledgeable vets and vet techs, and convenient hours, Hopewell can’t be beat. We’ve been taking our pets there for over 10 years and have always been satisfied.

I have been going to Hopewell for about 30 years. The Doctors and staff are very good and knowledgeable as well as very caring. I can't say enough good things about Hopewell.

They are great with both of our cats and one dog. And they keep us informed on any issues too.

I have been a client at Hopewell for over 9 years. Dr Rutkowski and the staff are amazing. I had three dogs. One was just put down two weeks ago. They were kind and compassionate and willing to work with us despite covid restrictions and booked up appointments. My other dog had successful surgery on her bladder. I would highly recommend.

I can't speak for the other vets, but Dr. Rutkowski is by far the most knowledgable vet I've ever used, especially in small animal medicine (we have a rabbit). The receptionists, vet-techs, etc. have always been courteous, kind, and professional.
