A great veterinarian. Unfortunately, not accepting new clients. My old dog passed a few years ago, when I went with my new dog, I was turned away

The veterinarians are so good with my cats. They work with me regarding the treatment options. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Dr. Rouse, Jen and the other staff are all absolute rockstars, consistently going above and beyond for us in every way. Dr. Rouse took care of my 22 year old cat Nika in the final few years of her life, and she did a fantastic job. Dr. Rouse always took the time to be very thorough and answer all of my many many questions, as did the staff every time I called. Dr. Rouse was there for us with such compassion, kindness and professionalism when it finally came time to let her go, and it was such a comfort to us at the end of her life. She always went out of her way to make sure Nika was comfortable, calm and pain free whenever she was in the office, and really made going to the vet a much more pleasant experience than it otherwise might have been for both of us. We'll always be grateful for everything they did for Nika <3 Really can't recommend them enough.

I have an older cat that is a scaredy-cat. For routine care requiring house calls, i loved the practice and the fact they will come to the house, saving her the anxiety of a trip outside. My cat was recently sick with an obvious infection in need of antibiotics. I called on Monday morning, no return call. Called again Tuesday morning, no return call. Called again Wednesday morning, no return call. Finally returned the call (to a different number than i left 3 times) late Wednesday afternoon to schedule for the following Monday. For routine care, they were great. For return calls and scheduling sick visits, not so much.

The team here had been great with our animals since we moved to the area! Prices are reasonable as well.

I have used this Veterinary Service for years , first with Doc Thomas and now with Dr. Rouse. We had to put our dog down 2 years ago, hardest decision you have to make for your dog. The staff handled this with the utmost respect and care possible. We now have a new dog, Hunter, and he gets the best care from this group.

I switched to Dr. Rouse and staff after having some not so great experiences with another vet where I felt like they didn't take the time to listen to my concerns about my pets. Since I have been coming to Homestead we have received excellent care. Even the other vets that are at the office are caring and have great bedside manner. Recently, we had to put our aging dog to sleep, after years of trying to chase this or that condition to keep him comfortable. Dr. Rouse and her tech were outstanding through this procedure. They came right to our home so we wouldn't have to traumatize the rest of the 'family'. They cared for Jake as if he were their own, they walked us through each step of the process with care and consideration. End of life process is tough for anyone, but they handled it superbly and I have to say it was the most pleasant experience I've had when having to deal with death. They mentioned how the cremation services they use are top notch and very caring. I didn't realize how so, until I got the ashes back a week later. Jake came in a beautiful wooden box and they even took an imprint of his paw and left us a clipping of his hair. It was very moving. I highly recommend Dr. Rouse and all of her staff.

Terrible vet, the worst. She almost killed my puppy.He had a routine surgery with Dr. Rouse. He literally would have died owing to this botched surgery if I had not sent him to an emergency hospital to resew the sutures that came undone. The day we took him home from surgery, you could see that the sutures were not right, and he was oozing a great deal from them. Yet when It took him back she declined to fix the job, requiring me to take him somewhere else for a lengthy hospital stay and new surgery. The hospital told me he would have been dead within 12 hours if I did not take him there. She never took any responsibility for this botched job, and tried to blame me for her poor medical care. If you love your pet, this is not the place to go!

Small, personable, and affordable, highly recommend them over larger places like Marple Vet.

Atrocious, irresponsible practice that nearly killed my dog. Do not use Homestead's services if you value the life of your animal companions.

We were so happy to discover this practice right down the road from our new house in Havertown. We've been taking our 8-year-old mutt to Dr. Rouse for about two years now, and have been extremely pleased with the quality of care and service. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful, they have a great email reminder system set up which helps keep on top of appointments, prescription refills, etc. Would highly recommend them!

Dr. Rouse is the kindest, calmest person. She never makes us feel rushed and takes the time to answer all of our questions in depth. She is a very competent veterinarian and also very loving toward Milo. The people in the office have always been very friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend her!

We had to give our loving boy up to God... I could not have asked for a more kind loving team who came to the house and made him feel calm.... Thank you.

So about a year ago, a new vet (Dr. Rouse) purchased the practice and took over this place, and it's been seriously amazing since then. I have 4 small dogs and a cat, and they all go to her now, even though she's a bit of a trip from where I currently live. She's amazingly knowledgeable, and really takes her time with both me and my pets, making sure we're comfortable and that I understand everything that's going on. That's surprisingly different from other vets I've used in the past, who make me feel rushed, and run out of the room the second the exam is done. The vet techs that work there are also incredibly knowledgeable and really go out of their way to make both pets and owners happy. She's seriously amazing, and is willing to work with pets and their owners to make sure you're happy and that you have the best possible outcome. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rouse and her new practice.
