We love Dr.Dana and the staff at Harrisburg Area Animal Hospital! They are very patient with us and have gone above and beyond with our pet needs. I highly recommend.

Customer service was very poor. I explained my pet's situation to the personal that answered the phone, he replied, "we're not taking any new patients" although I didn't ask to be seen. I then asked to be referred to or simply tell me the name of another animal clinic, he denied my request and hung up the phone.

Very friendly staff. Vet was knowledgeable and answered all the medical questions I had.

Absolutely love Dr Walck! She helped my kitty who had been struggling with health issues for several years (and 4 other vets that didn't have a clue what was wrong) Thanks Dr Walck!

Dr. Walch is a wonderful vet. It's obvious that she's in this business because she loves animals. I highly recommend her.

When I lived in the area, I took my two geriatric kitties to this hospital and they always received amazing care. The staff made it easy to schedule and have diagnostic tests done, and I felt like the doctors really listened and cared. Prices were reasonable and on point for the services. Would highly recommend.

Called to see if I could have my dog seen for a broken dewclaw nail. I was placed on hold for an "answer" to my question. The exact "answer" I got: "We aren't accepting new patients, and we can't give advice..." and dead silence...I laughed about the absolute abysmal response and lack of anything remotely helpful. And, to be sure I heard correctly, I repeated "So, you wont see my dog, and you can not talk to me about it?"...another "NO." I thanked him for his response, and conversation was over. My dog has been a patient of Dr. Walck’s for almost 6 years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. I never have trouble getting an appointment, the prices are affordable, and Dr. Dana has always taken the time to talk with me about my dog’s issues without pushing unnecessary tests or procedures. My dog was diagnosed with a life threatening immune-mediated illness a year ago, which required frequent blood tests and medication changes in the first few months post-diagnosis, and everyone at the clinic was always so accommodating and helpful. Dr. Dana and her staff have always had my dog’s best interest at heart, and I continue to entrust them with her extensive care. They also advocate for local rescue organizations by collecting donations and selling fundraising items at the front desk to help animals in need.

I called with a pet emergency and they were unhelpful, unapologetic and unsympathetic. The man on the phone wasn't rude about it, but they weren't accepting new patients, he wasn't able to suggest someone who might and he refused to comment on the situation with my pet. It felt like they were focused on profit rather than helping the community.

I came here via a recommendation from a friend. My dogs are terrified of the vet and are difficult to handle there because of that. Dr. Waulk is so great with them and all the staff are wonderful. I don't know what we would do without them!

Friendly staff, and very caring about my pet cat

I concur with some of the other reviews in that Dr Dana is excellent but the front desk staff needs some work on their general customer service skills. Called to get appt for my sick cat who has been a patient there for several years. I was immediately told, "cannot do today, cannot do tomorrow, (heavy sigh) I can do next Wednesday". That appointment will be 6 days from date of phone call. And this is not the first time I've been treated as a bother when I've called.

They are always great to my two Havapoo's. Their going through some allergy things, but they are being well taken care of here. I do appreciate them at HAAH.
