We have been with this group for over 5 years. Over the past 18 months this office has made a sharp decline. Ever since Dr. Smiley left we have been dissatisfied with this office. Corporate has made its way into the veterinarian world and its awful. Was there Friday for a 4:15, took back after 5pm. My dog has been limping since appt and all evening had to carried to door to go...won't walk steps. He was there for ear Iinfection and was given a full exam as if there for his yearly visit. Over $200 for an ear infection. When humans go to their physicians for an illness, they do not get a full physical. Feels taken advantage of at this point. U:ODATE: Saturday morning went to the Eastern Shore in MD to see his old vet to find out he has a sprain to right leg and severe ear infection. Was given meds for sprain,anti-inflam, and an antibiotic for his ear....which he should have been give yesterday, not antifungal, antibacterial meds. Thank goodness I was not charged for this appt, but most of my day has been spent on the road. 2 1/2 hrs each way

We have been taking our pets there for over 20 years and have noticed the significant decline in customer service and appointment availability. I just called this morning to have my dog's ears checked for infection. No appointments for 6 days. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They would only see her on an emergency basis which means an emergency fee and a several hour stay in the clinic which means more money! The quality of service has declined and fees have skyrocketed. Most of the time you don't even get to talk directly with the vet. Messages are sent through the vet techs or receptionists. Horrible, Horrible service.

This was our first time visit and from the first interaction with the staff I knew tiny was in good hands. Thank you so much for your compassion and care of my girl. I will definitely bring my other kitties to you when the need arises.

Very pleasant experience. I had an emergency and was taken right in. Very satisfied. Everyone was very professional and kind.

I appreciated how soon you could get my puppy in to be seen. The time and care you took in explaining things to me, and advice you gave me was also appreciated. I feel confident in bringing my puppy to you. You were very thorough, and well organized. Your staff is friendly and caring. All my questions were answered and I am glad to know I can call back if I have any other questions. Thank you!

Dr. Skoog is very thorough and treated both my kitties with loving kindness on their first visit there yesterday. Kayla gathered all the information professionally yet very friendly. They took their time with both cats & explained everything to me. Dillon was most helpful at checkout & had rescheduled my appointment at my request and for my convenience. Confederate Woods has taken care of all our pets since we moved here 35 years ago! Caring, compassionate & professional folks!

I didn't feel rushed. I felt that the Dr. had time for the concerns I had and gave me good information. The staff all tried to make Snaps a little less nervous. Its a 45 minute drive to the clinic and well worth my time because I have confidence in Dr Mosier's care.

I had a very disappointing first appointment yesterday and will not return. I adopted a new cat and wanted to establish a relationship at a vet. Confederate Woods offered a NEW CLIENT SPECIAL for half-off a first wellness exam. This was advertised several places on their website. I called to set up a wellness exam for my cat. I made it clear that I was calling about a wellness check. During the phone call I did mention a concern that my new cat had thrown up twice since bringing her home and I was wondering if I should be concerned about it. The person on the phone said, no problem we will check it out. The vet spent a few minutes checking out my cat- I assumed was doing a "wellness check". When I checked out my bill was way more than expected. When I asked about the new client special I was told bluntly by Beth that because I had concerns about my cat vomiting, it was considered a "medical exam", not a wellness exam! I never implied that my cat was sick. When I explained my concern Beth was rude and dismissive. The vet didn't even take my cat's temperature because she didn't feel there was a need to do that. I was left thinking that this practice is not really interested establishing new clients. If you are considering this vet, be careful to ask specific questions about all services.

From making an appointment, to check in at arrival, talking with the vet and working with the techs everyone was very friendly and above all helpful. My dog was not seemed stressed at all by the experience. Great job!

Other then not being informed about the fact only the pet can enter the building, the visit was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. They followed up and was just all around a great visit.

Confederate woods has always done an amazing job treating Mona for the past 6 years (regular check ups and a minor surgery)... even though out covid the great staff has always done an wonderful job I high recommend them! Thanks everyone!

We love Confederate Woods. I have 5 (yes really) furbabies and they all come here. Everyone is so friendly and patient. I have the utmost confidence in all the techs and vets. Thank you for taking care of my fur kids so well!

I visited this vet 1 week ago and paid over 200 dollars for a UTI that my dog did not have. My dog just had surgery today for ovarian remnant syndrome. My dog was bleeding like she was on her period. You never discussed this with me only because I called and told you my dog was still bleeding you said "she looked like she may have been in heat" . I am not a vet. I told you my dog was spayed. This is the problem with curbside service during a pandemic. Please be more thorough going forward with your customer's in the future! I spoke with your receptionist about my Unpleasant experience and warranted a phone call which I never received. Please do a better job explaining and talking with your customers I am extremely disappointed.

Considering we are all dealing with Covid-19, the appointment arrangements for Smokey went very well. I was very appreciative of the time that Dr. Samko took to answer our questions. Although we've never met, she had a friendly and reassuring voice on the phone. She seemed knowledgeable and was patient with my multiple questions. We have used Confederate Woods since we moved from NC in the 1980s. All the doctors and assistants have treated us with kindness and respect, and we never feel rushed. Thank you!!

This was our 1st visit to Confederate Woods. We have a new puppy. She is so tiny. 2lbs. They are still on curbside but opening up tomorrow. What sweet, caring and friendly people. Spoke to the vet and she sounded very kind and compassionate also very professional and thorough. Cost much less than I expected based on my previous vet. All in all I believe my dogs have definately found their new vet home.

My dog had an appointment today. With the pandemic, I was a little hesitant on her going in without me. Apparently, she thought it was a play date for her with new people. All of the staff I spoke with on the phone were very friendly and they all said how much they adored my dog. I’m sure she will be happy in 2 weeks when we show up for her check up appointment. She even had to get a shot today and still thought she was there to be pet by everyone she saw. Thank you for being so kind. Definitely recommend over the other places in Gettysburg.
