They were very thorough. A treatment plan and estimate was presented. They were very thoughtful and patient with my little doxy who hates being messed with.

We recently had to say goodbye to our dog. Dr. Mix and the entire staff was so compassionate and really helped us through it. They even sent a sympathy card with personal messages which meant the world to us. We can't thank them enough for their support and compassion during a difficult time. We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet.

If you're looking around trying to find which vet to go to, stop right now because this is the place to go! I have been taking my pets here for about 4 years now and I will never go anywhere else. Even if I moved 2 hours away, I would still come here for their check-ups. They are just that great. Every single one of em! Prices are decent. The building is very well kept and clean. You wouldn't if know that animals go in and out of there everyday. Before Covid when you were able to walk in, the ladies at the desk were always lovely. They would engage in conversation with you and really get to know your pets while you wait. A couple of weeks ago my cat got severely sick. Dr. Cutler and his team worked tirelessly on him. Still to this day, I am so thankful for Dr. Cutler and his team for taking such great care of him. He is now healthy, happy, and very loved. I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Mix is the most compassionate loving vet. She will treat your animals with highest regards. She is not the vet going for your wallet, she want you to keep your family together for as long as she can. Thank you so much for your love and support. Your mister Benson

Excellent service at Cemung Valley Animal Clinic. Dr. Barbara Mix is an outstanding vet. She gives all my pets the best care. Especially my very dominant German Shepherd. She is a "straight shooter" and will always tell me exactly everything I need to know. The techs and office staff have also always treated both my pets and I great also.

Generally great, but one bad experience with a very sick, near end-of-life furry friend has lost them a perfect rating.

I can't express my gratitude to Dr. Cutler and Chuck. We visited for an emergency visit and they were very attentive to our anxious little guy. They were kind and explained everything and listened to what I had to say. Very caring staff.

The staff are all nice and compassionate. They were able to fit us in when our old lil dog wasn't doing too well and then again when we took him back for a follow up. They also followed up with phone calls, as they said they would.

I was a client for years and I finally have had enough. Here are just some of my stories. I took my cat in, she was rapidly losing weight. They said it was stress, she was dead two weeks later. I brought my other cat in with tumors and eye issues, they insisted on a blood test that would require anesthesia which I refused because my cats 18 and I think it would probably kill her. They agreed that was possible, but they offered no other options. This was par for the course with them because even if you tell them you can’t afford it or don’t agree they will always insist on the most expensive treatment and tests possible without offering other options.

Well, if you don't mind spending lots of money for substandard care, then this is your place. We recently had our cat taken there for a suspected UTI to be told she is too young (2 yo) until thankfully she had peed in her kennel and it was found through the microscope that she did and she was given an antibiotic shot. However, the shot seemed to make things worse and we went from no blood in the urine to bloody urine. We attempted to obtain a sample using the litter they provide but they said it wasn't good enough- however it's a little difficult to do that when your cat is sick and can't pee large amounts to give a sample! They let her go telling us to continue to try. Well another week later, and it was still bad and we couldn't get a sample because it was small amounts on the floor since she couldn't make it to the litter box and I called and had to basically beg for more medicine. (They kept saying that it's probably stress related to which I agreed only in that she is stressed because she could NOT pee!) They had offered us to get Feliway but that is obviously not going to correct a UTI. After fighting, I was able to get a pack of pills and urinary food but again the medicine made it worse and our sweet girl passed away yesterday after a month fighting this infection. The whole ordeal could've been avoided and we are disgusted and heart-broken over it. Beware and advocate for your pet if you stay!!!

These people are great. Compassionate and kind. I've had to deal with so many incidents from my pets to strays and the crew here has been with me the whole time. Thank you Chemung Valley Vets!!
