Absolutely horrible service. He saw my dog for two seconds and told me she wouldn't make it days without treatment. He never did bloodwork or x-rays yet told me her liver was failing. I took her elsewhere for a second opinion and no liver issues. She had a bowel obstruction which I believe would have not been treated had I left my dog there. He was also yelling at his staff while we were there. Unprofessional all around. I dont know how anyone works for him. I would never go back there nor would I refer anyone to this place.

Took my sick dog in at closing time and was very satisfying experience

Not for me but for my girlfriend who took her cat there to be treated for worms. The doctor there told her that it was extremely contagious to humans. So she's been wired and freaked out cleaning everything several times a day and in tears worried she's gonna get a tapeworm or something. I told her she's more likely to die from covid than she is to get worms from her cat. Whoever told her she's going to get worms and how contagious it is, either you're very bluntly dumb or it was some sick joke.

The vet claimed that he never seen us before even though he just treated our dog and then he started yelling at us…he started screaming and fighting with us in front of our dog making him angry…the guy is crazy has lost his mind he a wack job….

Honestly, I am grateful for Dr. and his staff. They seen my dog at 8:30pm when No one else would. They saved her life after having a stroke. They were wonderful and reasonable. I will be going here for now on!

The Vet was very rude on the phone when calling concerned about my senior cat. He states he doesn't do consulting on the phone and hangs up. Wouldn't reccomend.

Very. Very expensive and especially in your time of need. There very nice however,Dr. Cathio over charges and i never will go there again. I went there thinking he was a compassionate man. I am a Single mom my daughter is 16. Instead he went and charged me almost 700$ to be told must put cat down and "either drive home with the carcas or cremation!!Smh!! Should be better to people Everyone needs a break once in awhile. Here is a picture of the 300$ urn ,i mean tiny box which btw, I had to call them after 2 weeks to find out if my cat was ready to be picked up and doctor answered and said oh yes she has been here!!???Why wouldn't the animal hospital call us. Because there no good. Also the one vet tech just looks so unprofessional and acts it as well. Hope this helps when choosing a veterinarian

This Doctor I would give home zero stars if I could! Please beware of this crazy lunatic ! He did not want to attend my dogs which were dying !! He is arrogant and very unprofessional! But I am glad I did not take my dogs to him because someone warned me about him , said he killed one of their pets by not giving them proper care!

I love this vet I just took my cat smokey there last week he was a sick little boy and he told me what was wrong and he fixed him

I took my cat there for what I thought was just an eye infection, turns out it was a dangerous abscess in my little buddies eye. Literally no other Vet or Hospital cared enough to take me in or told me I’d have to wait 4 weeks to be seen. Dr. Kathio’s office took my cat immediately in for emergency eye surgery and 24 hours later I had my best friend back and his eye was perfect, no pain even. Dr. Kathio is a skilled vet and if I ever had another emergency with my cat it’s good to know Pittston Animal Hospital will be there when I need them.

Dr.Kathio is a excellent veterinarian with years of experience. He is extremely professional and personable. Would go back every time with my animal health needs. Would recommend 10/10.

We took our dog here for a checkup to get him a heartworm pill. First, the receptionist had to call him and tell him to come to work because he had a patient (mind you we had an appointment). Dr. Kathio said he needed to do a heartworm test first. He said it would be $85. My husband asked if it would be $85 on top of the $50 visit fee. Kathio got angry and told us he didnt want our business and to get out! We had no problem paying for the services, we just wanted to know the price and he flipped out. Do not go here. Most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. Terrible man.

All other vets in the area were very expensive when coming to the surgery our dog needed and he had a very lost cost. He was a very straight foward person and kind and compassionate towards our dog and us. The vet techs did an amazing job handling our dog and were very kind as well. I would recommend to anyone who needs help with their animal.

I wouldn’t even give him one star he claimed he could help my 5 kittens rather than helping them I took them home and they got progressively worse I took them to another vet and the “surgery” he claimed to have done had no trace of it and the new vet confirmed there had been no surgery also 2 of the 5 passed and the ones who did survive one was blind ones eye had rotted out and one has a problem with one eye oh and then when I called upon him not doing surgery he claimed he never helped us before and got very angry then the next morning he was in the news for “finding” a dehydrated cat and taking it in PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE HE ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY I PAID $1800 for my kittens to pass away and have problems

Friday, March 27 one of my seven month old kittens got extremely ill as always I called my dear friend and Family veterinarian as always he responded too our immediate needs cared for our “KiKi” the Dr. did an X-ray the cats lungs were full of fluid ....So the Dr. discounted our Bill because the kitten no longer required bloodwork too determine his illness Dr. K. Your the best ......Thank You For Saving Our Fur Baby

I took my senior dog there for help and this quack tried to exploit me for money by insisting on performing tests that were not necessary in order to have the actual test she needed. He isisted she had a heart problem when she spent 10 hours in a vet hospital with no mention of a heart abnormality. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This man will show no empathy for your pet or you. I have never witnessed this amount of unprofessionalism is my entire life! I left there in tears and feeling helpless. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET , DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Maybe I'm still trying too accept the $1800.00 bill from our cats visit. But, a lot of charges were not documented on an invoice. Although we did see the 2 x-rays, he could not justify the other charges. I suppose it's what we deserved for an emergency visit, but a friend of ours that has been dealing with veterinarians for years...said that we were extremely over-charged.

Too expensive and the doctor wasn't even right about the problem. Just wanted to keep charging for different things to get done.

Great dr gets you in fast. Not much waiting time in office too.i am very satisfied.

PLEASE RUN!!!!!!! This man is evil! If he doesn’t kill your pet he’ll charge you 20 times then any other vet. I will go in detail about my experience soon. I’m trying to stop this evil man from practicing and have been advise not to go into detail. So please please please go anywhere else!!!!!!
