I just got a puppy 5 days ago. I wanted to bring him in for a preliminary check up/physical exam to make sure all was well. When I made my appointment online, I also got a coupon (DIRECTLY FROM BANFIELD WEBSITE) that said my first exam would be free (since this puppy is a new patient). I got to my appointment, waited 5-10 minutes until someone came to the front desk, and then presented his records from the breeder and my coupon. The woman immediately tried to sell me on a wellness plan - which was very sales-y and unappreciated. I hadn't even gotten my dog completely checked in yet. Then, she commented on the fact that I showed up early to the appointment (sorry? I wanted to come with enough time to check in a new puppy didn't know that was looked down upon). I then had to wait another 25ish minutes until someone came out from the back and was like oh does anyone know you're here? and I was like um yes but ive been waiting 30 minutes. She then asked if I had already given my records - I said yes and that I also showed my first time exam coupon. She said oh we don't accept that coupon here. S I expressed to her that I showed it when I first arrived 30 minutes ago along with my records, why wouldn't have someone told me that then? She didn't even know what to say. Why would a company offer a coupon at the time of making an appointment and then not accept it at the time of the appointment? Super unprofessional and bad customer service. I told her I didn't want my dog to be seen anymore and would take him to another vet (since he needs his next round of vaccines next week anyways). She said "ok let me give you your records back"... she then gave me one sheet of his records not even the whole packet I originally gave to them.... how disorganized. Not a good experience at all.

I am beyond frustrated with this location. I own 4 dogs and have all 4 dogs on the Banfield plan. Whenever I call this location for an appointment, the only option provided is a drop off. I live 30 min from the facility. Last time I did a drop off appointment I drove all the way home and was told to come get my dog, because he had so much anxiety that the vet saw him first. So I drove all the way back to pick my dog up. If I want an appointment to stay with my dog, I have to wait WEEKS! I do not recommend this location at all. Go to king of Prussia or Lancaster. I don’t even know why I continued to try this location.

I made an appointment for one of my dog's comprehensive exam through the hospital's app for 10AM. I was not made aware that it would be a drop off and there's nothing on the app that indicates it either. When he was dropped off, the receptionist said he would only need 2 shots and was not due for his comprehensive exam so we thought nothing of it, little did we know, he would have to stay the whole day to receive his 2 shots. Why book that many appointments if they're that busy? They always say our pet's health and well-being is their top priority but their actions and care clearly show otherwise. My poor boy has been stuck in the crate all day with no food when it could have easily been an in and out appointment. *Edit* It is 3pm and the staff just called right after we got home after we were there at 2:30 to see if our dog was done. The doctor even said if the staff told her we were there, she could've got him done and back to us while we were there at 2:30. I'm not sure if the staff there other than the doctors are just lazy or incompetent or both. In conclusion, their app is horrendous, don't use it. They clearly overbook and overwork the doctors that they can't even make time to spare 5 minutes for shots. It's quite hard to trust them with our pets any longer that I refuse to even have my new puppy spayed by them. Look somewhere else for a vet.

It depends on who's working the day you go in and Iwhat kind of day they've had, or are going to have. I have taken all of our dogs and cats to them. My daughter takes her cats, and now her new dog to them. Most of the time everyone is friendly. But sometimes, like yesterday, you get a receptionist who acts like your nothing but a bother , or the vet who is condescending because you should have known your new to you puppy was gonna growl at them because they are still decompressing but you can't go into the exam with them. OR they just generally talk to you like you have no business having a pet. Makes me want to reconsider having our pets be cared for by them.

Don’t send your pet to Banfield. They don’t care about your pet and won’t listen to you as an owner. Awful practice that should be shut down before more animals die.

My pets have been enrolled in the wellness plan at Banfield for over 12 years. We have lived in various places across the country and this is hands down the WORST Banfield I’ve ever been. Their staff and Dr Eppes are more concerned about revenue than the health and wellbeing of your pet. They do not take time to review records and suggest treatments blindly based on money. We have moved our business to another location.

Staff is nice but this vet is very expensive. They try to get you to sign up for a plan to make it "cheaper" but at the end of the day if you do the math your paying more.

We’ve been going here for almost 12 years and I’ve never had a single problem with them. I especially LOVE Dr. Paaby and trust her any day! The reason for my poor review is the new staff they hired. They are absolutely careless in making the appointments. They have messed up the past 3 appointments that I’ve made and kept changing my original dates to other random days. I always make my appointments in person and am sure to receive an appointment card for proof of my original dates. I called to try and change it back to the original date but they were not able to accommodate which then makes my schedule all jumbled. Im very frustrated and am starting to lose my patience with the scheduling staff.

I absolutely love this Banfield! We have been bringing our rescue dog to them for the last 7 years and I refuse to go anywhere else. The receptionists are always super pleasant on the phone and when they greet you in the office. Our dog is not the easiest to deal with as he has a lot of anxiety and can sometimes be a challenge in the exam room. The doctors and the vet techs are very understanding and will accommodate any special requests such as sitting on the floor to give him shots and perform the exam. They also go out of their way to make our dog feel comfortable by giving him time to relax, letting come to them on his own, and just loving on him throughout the entire visit. The staff here truly care about pet owners as there have been many times where an emergency as has popped up and they have found ways to get me a same day appointment (if not one the next day). I can also be the overly sensitive dog mom where if I sense anything wrong with our dog I always bring him in to get checked out (because lord knows a tail that has been unusually limp means something terrible is wrong according to the internet) and the doctors always are happy to help, even if I was being a little too over zealous with my concern lol. Dr. Paaby, Dr. Weaver, and Dr. Epps are just simply amazing and their vet techs will go above and beyond to help you. I am so thankful for this practice and the care they have shown our dog, they are the best!

Do not go here!!! This place has recommended you feed your dog brands that are terrible! I have people come in time and time and tell me and other employees at my store what there vet told them, they said sweet potato and egg is bad and that Orijen dog food is terrible to feed your dog! That is a fantastic food if you dont mind paying the price. If you take your pet here, and they have told you things that just dont sound right it's because they are payed to tell you that. They care more about a paycheck than making sure your pet is getting the best nutrition and information and care. I would put zero stars, but I needed to warn people from taking in the lies they are telling you. This is my first negative comment to this extreme and it's because no pet parent should be fed false information.

My sister and I took her dog here last week. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and how well our veterinarian interacted with the animals and the owners in the clinic. She was very calm and spent time to answer questions and tell us what was going on with my sister's dog.

Don’t bother. Go to another practice that cares about the pets and not just getting you to buy a wellness plan. So negligent their care at times.

While the staff is very friendly, the information they give and the direction is all to upsell and take your money. They will tell you that the visit will be only $59.99 and when you walk out there is a bill for $300. The vets use the front desk staff as messengers instead of coming out to answer the questions themselves. They recommended we treat my cats hyperthyroidism prior to getting her kidneys on track. Send you off with medication knowing it will worsen the kidneys and then tell you to come back a month later for a follow up to see how the medicine is working. Another $300 visit just to tell you the kidneys are worsening. Expect the run around and from these folks and to spend unnecessary money. I highly recommend going to a different veterinary facility that puts the best interest of the animal first instead of the money.

IMPORTANT NOTE: - I have PTSD and my puppy is in training to become my service dog. They not only separated a disabled person from their service dog, but they also caused me to have a panic attack. The first visit was great, and like so many other vets I'd been to; I joined their optimum puppy plan afterwords. The next appointment was three weeks later for the next round of puppy shots- this visit was super traumatic for both me and my puppy. We waited happily in the exam room for the vet to appear and conduct the appointment in the same smooth and friendly fashion as the time before... a vet tech came in and spoke very loudly at us, then strong-armed me into letting her take my puppy into the back room to do whatever it is she needed to do with him. They were gone and I was sitting there reeling at what just happened... I instantly regretted letting her take my dog, and after some time passed I grew increasingly anxious and got up to look down the hallway. Through a window in the door that lead to the back room I saw her holding my puppy in a chokehold while another tech riddled him with needles and probes- and he was thrashing and crying. I was mortified! I tried making eye contact with him to let him know he was okay but the tech moved out of my sight, until I saw her take him into another back room... you know... the room where they do surgeries and euthanizations. I lost it... I began half-yelling in panic "what is she doing to my dog?!!"..."why is she going into that back room?!!" The poor receptionist just shrugged. Another tech saw me panicking and pointing toward the door and came out to ask what I needed... I half-yelled the same things and she said that they couldn't hear his heart beat because it was too loud back there (literally from several other dogs shrieking and barking- surely from the same "closed-door" treatment). What other reason would you want to take someone's pet behind closed doors for a routine visit other than to mistreat it? After the tech finally came back and I took my dog back (WHO WAS SHAKING AND CRYING) she bluntly told me "you're done, you can go"... I was dumbfounded... "what about the vet?" I asked. That seemed like a lot to ask for the tech, but she went and got her (albeit it took quite some time) eventually. The vet came in and immediately rattled off what the appointment covered- instead of asking what my concerns were- before giving me the 'okay you'e good to go' smile. I asked, with a sick knot in my stomach, "what happened today- this is never going to happen again, right?" And they told me this is how they run things. I told them I would have to cancel my subscription to their service, and they responded as if they were super offended! They said they understood I was upset, but they could put in my file that 'I like to do things differently'... "no, I'm going to cancel, thank you"... they looked like they just smelled the worst smell of their lives and then left the room. I asked the receptionist to cancel my account and she gave me card with a number to corporate to call to cancel. I called them and they told me that my bill for services used would be between 4 and $500... my total 12 month plan would add up to $800 something, and after ONE appointment they expect me to pay over 6 months worth of that plan? When I said that wasn't right and wanted to speak to a supervisor, the woman wouldn't transfer me, but offered to connect me to the customer advocate group- to which their line (at 3:30 pm) said "we are closed" and had no voicemail. So they're making me pay for mistreatment to my pet, inducing a panic attack to someone who suffers from PTSD after separating said individual from their service animal, and also traumatizing a developing puppy/ giving him a negative experience that revolves around the vet. BONUS: I heard a tech on the phone telling a woman that her dog tends to bite while there, so to check the dogs mouth they'd SEDATE her. It's no wonder that dog was aggressive -and the cherry on top? After the tech hung up she mocked the woman.

I love banfield! They always take such great care of my pets. They offer the OWP options so I don't have to pay for the office call and each service when I come in AND I get a discount on non preventative things (diagnostics and medications, etc). They give you a copy of paperwork at every visit so I can go back and read everything and call with any questions. They have the option to drop off so I can go to work and they still handle my pets care and if I needed them to feed my pet, I just leave their meals and they get a walk too. They just call as soon as their done and I can schedule a pick up time. My boy is crate trained so this is a win win! If my pet is sick, they have in room appointments and if it's just for quick shots (I use the Banfield app so I know when and what they're due for) they come in, reiterate what I'm there for and ask if it's ok to take my babies back (most days the Dr has surgeries in the morning so I think they want to be around them while they recover too), l make requests or give them info and then I can run an errand or wait until their done. Then the vet always comes out to speak with me about my concerns and how the exam went and I'm on my way. The place is always busy so this helps me get in and out. I know some people get worked up about the barking but that's what dogs do, especially when someone else gets all the attention lol. Once I had to put down my old man Baxter and they have one of the exam rooms set up with the lights dim and I got to spend as much time with him before and after he crossed the rainbow bridge. They really do care and they'll even fit you in if you're a little bit late as long as you call ahead (which is more than I can say for human places). All in all the communication and care for what I pay is SO worth it! Thanks Banfield!

The vet tried to tell my fiancé she shouldn't be putting a harness on our dog because SHE doesn't like them, and that if our dog was better trained she wouldn't have a problem using a collar. She continued to insult how my fiancé cares for the dog, they can't even pronounce our other dogs name correctly. All they care about is you being on their wellness plan and taking your money. They even cut out dogs nails without permission and continued to try and charge my fiancé for it! Take your business elsewhere!

The staff is friendly and great with the pups. But, they are extremely pushy with how much they can sell to you. Don't take a stool sample from my dog, tell me it's clean, then try to sell me deworming injections. If I told you I'm not interested in the teeth cleaning because I brush them at home, please don't offer it five times in the half hour I was there. I have seen many other vets that do not recommend my dog getting his teeth cleaned. Please stop pushing insurance on people too. Feels more like a scam than actual caring for the dog. I will be looking for a new vet.
