Caution sending senior pets there. We boarded our dog over the Thanksgiving Holiday and now he is dead. They called saying he had a collapsed treachea and that he was not eating or drinking- blaming the coughing. There was poor communication with what was really going on and while they did medicate him they did not think to run labs before doing so. How he got the collapsed treachea is still unclear to me. My family picked him up on Saturday and he couldnt even walk and would not take any food, water, or his medication. We changed flights and came home early beacuse he was in such bad shape and ended up having to put him down. We were trying to contact them to get more informmation as to what had happened and how they knew he had a collapsed treacea while at the emergency vet and the entire day on Sunday. We never got any calls back and the only call we received was for us to come pay his bill. When we went back to talk with the vet to see what had happened there was little to no compassion and no responsibility for what had happened execept "in hidsight they probably should have ran his labs." They need to fix their emergency number for when you are trying to get in contact about a pet who is being boarded or who has been boarded and put on medication.

Completely incompetent, diagnosed my dog with and wrote prescriptions for conditions he did not have. Have heard from friends of similar experiences. Avoid at all costs.

My favorite feature at this time is renewing my dog's medication. My former vet would only provide a hand written script in order for me to obtain her meds at a discount pharmacy. My dog's needs were obviously less important than I thought. Thank you Aardvark, we're now on auto refill. Myah says thank you!

We’ve gotten our dogs groomed by Dana for years - and she’s AMAZING!!! She always goes above and beyond with her care for our two 60+ lb dogs! They absolutely love her! If you’re in need of a groomer - Dana is who you’ll want to take your fur babies to visit!

Friendly to you, and the genuinely care for the animals. I have a dog with an auto immune problem and they're the only ones who've been able to help.

This vet is amazing! The staff was so friendly to my two cats. Even with my one cat was not being nice to them, they treated her with love and cared for her. Thank so much for taking good care of Zoey and Shadow!

Aardvark Animal Hospital are great people, we unfortunately met them at the end of our dog's life after her Veterinarian closed up shop. They brought us in and treated our dog like family, sitting on the floor and caring for her. They were very honest and tried their best to prolong our dog's life as humanly as possible. When the time came for our dog to go to sleep they made the experience very personal with a private room and lots of time to say goodbye. The vet techs even cried as they had become attached very quickly to our dog.

I had an amazing experience here! I’m new to the area and was recommended Aardvark by a friend. This is by far the best vet I’ve been to- thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. Got my pup up to date on vaccines and gave me peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Took my cat in in an emergency when no other veterinary clinics would help. They were super busy and still squeezed us in during our emergency!

I brought my cat here, had a bad experience and left a negative review. Aardvark left a sticky on my account SAYING that I left a negative review. This establishment is the closest animal hospital to me. I called them again because my cat isn't any better and wanted to make an appointment. (I wish I could rate this lower.) Some manager picked up the phone and informed me that I should change my review AND THEN my cat could be seen. Screw that. I'm taking this to the better business borough. This establishment held my initial review against my animal. ZERO STARS!

After being told by the vet I went to for 20+ years that I was a bad dog owner for wanting to wait a couple months before getting my puppy neutered, who was already was dealing with giardia and kennel cough because he was a rescue, I decided I needed a new vet. Honestly, I chose Aardvark based solely on their name, but I'm glad I did. The building is super nice, clean, and welcoming. First time I went in I was welcomed in by their dog receptionist. I think his name was Beans? They have really sweet birds in their lobby as well. Both the staff and docs are very friendly and kind, especially to dogs like mine who are so terrified of the vet you have to carry them in. They are willing to work with you directly in order to make both you and your pet happy and comfortable. I love these guys, and highly recommend them.

We are so happy with our decision to get our pup into Aardvark doggie daycare. Our dog is high energy and he comes home exhausted. When I drop him off his tail is wagging, he can't wait to go in. Oh and the staff is super helpful too.

Dr. Thomas and her staff were great when it came to our emergency situation during the COVID-19 pandemic. After running some tests to find out what was making Kryten so sick and then finding out that there was no hope for him, they contacted us and let us know. They took such good care of our baby and kept him comfortable until we could get there and spend a little time with him before we helped him cross over to the other side. She was very patient and understanding with us and allowed us the extra time that we needed to say farewell to our baby. Thank you so much for all that you did and all the you could have done.

My boyfriend brought his dog in last week, incompetent reception staff. Vet didn’t seem to care about the patients at all. Reception came in from outside and smelled like cigarettes not a good look for a vets office. Horrible experience

Why can't you give 0 stars? Does this vet perform actions on pets that are not first discussed or asked permission by the owner? Freaky. It seems like this is the case by scanning reviews. The same thing happened to us. Similar to another posting (that I wish that I had read before bringing our pet here), we had an experience with Aardvark Animal Hospital that was met with a cold and callous response. We are new to the area and have a puppy. Due to COVID protocol, we dropped him off and a vet tech came to get him. There was a miscommunication from the vet tech to the vet (according to the vet) and our puppy was given another round of vaccine that we specifically asked not to do when we dropped him off. We also were told that we would be given a call before anything was administered or done to our puppy once the vet had examined him. This made us feel a little better knowing that nothing would be done without our consent. When the vet called AFTER to tell us what was already done we were shocked to hear that 1) we were not called to discuss or give consent 2) that the vet tech was either not listened to by the vet or she misunderstood our wishes to not have the vaccine as he was given it 5 days prior elsewhere. Disgustingly, the vet was mildly apologetic and seemed annoyed by our reaction to the mistrust and concern about our double vaccinated puppy. "Well what do you want me to do for you now?" was what we were met with. We politely spelled out that, while this was not a life altering mistake to our new family pet, that it could have been had it been something else more pressing or serious. Because of COVID and the owners not being able to be in the room learning and listening and CONSENTING to what is done, this vet would be better to make sure clients are CLEAR on what is being done to their pet behind closed doors. I thought their idea of the vet calling BEFORE doing work was a great idea for when the owners are not allowed in the room but their OWN supposed protocol wasn't even honored and she went ahead and did it on her own without our consent. Of course this clinic won't adjust their practices which is clear because of the pompous sounding vet who didn't even have the heart or decency to come out to apologize in person (or make a phone call later when she was less busy) or make amends in a caring way. I certainly won't hold my breath for change and either should you. The vet seemed arrogantly stunned to be called out on her mistake. My puppy was back there for about 45 minutes or maybe longer and when he came out he wasn't happy and peppy like before. He seemed subdued and blank. It was a DIFFERENT vet tech who brought him out... of course! Why would we expect a little ACCOUNTABILITY or a genuine apology from anyone in that office. I've had so many great vet experiences in my travels (Canada and USA) and this was not only unprofessional but cold and uncaring - scary! Be warned. If you love your pets like family as we do, you would be best to try to find another vet in the area.
