WOW is all i can say! Working with Michael was such an eye opening experience where my partner and i learned so much for than just "commands" for our dog but the "why" to how it works! We learned so many facts about dogs and their behaviors that we wouldnt otherwise have known which makes learning to train our Baby girl Kiwi so much easier! Kiwi we just rescued 3 months ago and boy has she grown so much! So much in fact she knows sit, stay, paw, heel, and so much more with other dogs. Mike truly knows how to educate us as the owners and we appreciated that he made sure we were the ones doing the work not just watching him. Our Kiwi was actually sad to see him leave at her last visit! We definitely reccomend Best Paw Forward!!!!

I would highly recommend Best Paw forward. They are very professional and offer lots of knowledge and experience. They really listened to our concerns and worked with us to get the best results. Ramona is such a well rounded and happy puppy and we were very lucky to have worked Best paw forward . Michael was amazing with my dog who would not let anyone cut his nails. Michael’s private sessions worked……my dog almost let groomer cut all his nails. Michael is amazing trainer and is so wonderful and insightful about dogs, couldn’t be happier

Michael came out to do private training for two of our dogs- Ripley and Millie. Today I was able to drop Ripley off at the vet with no barking or growling. He really helped us be able to go out into the world with less fear and nervous energy. I can’t wait to continue our training with Best Paw Forward.

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with BPF! Before coming here, we had previously worked with another trainer and took group classes, but we just could not seem to get some basic manners down. When we started with BPF we could barely walk our 1 y/o Aussiedor Pepper. She would pull us almost to the point of injury, lunge, and bark at everything she saw. We could not walk within 40ft of another dog, animal, or bicyclist or she would become extremely reactive. I would be in tears most days after our walks. She was also not initially very friendly to any other dogs. After speaking with Michael, we decided to sign Pepper up for the Excellent Dog Program for 8 weeks of private lessons. The first 6 lessons were in our home and neighborhood. We were shown different techniques, commands, and given training tools to make walks more enjoyable & relaxed for both Pepper and our family. We practiced our walking commands every day, starting with no distractions and gradually working our way up. We noticed a difference right from week 1! Our final 2 lessons we were invited up to the beautiful BPF facility for Pepper to learn how to properly socialize with other dogs. She met 4 other dogs while Michael showed us things that should be corrected and body language to pay attention to when dogs our playing. Michael has such great knowledge and is very easy to talk to! We loved working with him. The skillset & knowledge the Best Paw Forward team has provided us was phenomenal. We are now able to take Pepper on walks everyday where we can pass whoever or whatever on the same sidewalk with never more than a minor tug of excitement. We have also been able to take her on some of our favorite local hiking trails! She has also now successfully been introduced to 4-5 new dogs in the neighborhood and will even play bow with a few of them. The office team continues to follow up with us to see how Pepper and our training is going! We absolutely recommend this training team to anyone that listens! We cannot wait to work with them again in the near future when we bring home puppy #2.

Best Paw Forward is just amazing! As a first time dog family, we had no idea what to do. Mike, Erin and the entire team was extremely supportive, helpful and always responsive. The two week training was the best investment we made! Not only did they train our pup, the videos they posted helped us carry over. I've had issues with Albus twice since, as he matured. And both times, within days, Erin was out to help us. The tactics they teach you are perfect. They listened to us, without judgement, and taught us behavior modification techniques. Thanks to them, we know what to do for and with our pup, Albus and it's made it such a rewarding experience! Can't thank these folks enough!!!

My husband and I just got finished with 6 personal training sessions for our 3.5 year old mini goldendoodle, Toby. Our dog knew basic commands and was usually behaved around us, but we needed serious help with his jumping and behavior around people, kids, and sometimes his barking at other dogs. With doing the homework assigned to us we have noticed a HUGE difference since when we started. We couldn’t be happier with the attention and care we received. We know our pup will miss his trainer. They’re so helpful and reminded us to never hesitate to reach out in the future with questions. They also have a private FB community that they share videos and useful tips. Do yourself a favor and take your dog here for any concerns or general training, you will not regret it!

Best Paw Forward associate, Theresa, was outstanding. She did a great job helping my wife and I understand how to work with our Golden Doodle, Oscar. As most people know, dog training involves getting the owner and the pet to understand how each interacts with the other. And, Theresa did that for us. Oscar is behaving well and we are behaving better, also.

We are halfway through our 8-week program and we have learned SO MUCH about our two fearful dogs' behavior and how to work with them to improve their problematic behaviors. We absolutely love Best Paw Forward's approach to training. Their focus is heavily on positive reinforcement in managing our dogs' fearful behaviors and we LOVE that about these guys! They are friendly and courteous and easy to work with and I would (and have) recommended them to friends and family!

We enlisted Best Paw Forward to work with our very energetic Springer Spaniel Puppy Sophie's leash walking, jumping, and impulse control prior to having a baby this summer and we are so happy that we did. Our trainer Theresa was very patient and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of very concrete and reasonable advice on how to best work with Sophie. Sophie is now walking so much better on the leash and we have better understanding of what she is capable of and how to correct some of her problematic behaviors. Thanks BPF!

I have a German Shepherd puppy that was really hard for me to handle. Our first trainer got only so far and then we didn’t agree. I realized we needed someone new. I contacted the GSD Rescue and Mike and Jamie came highly recommended. My pup needed there away training (home on the weekends). The difference was instant and amazing. Mike is great and very personable. Rory just loves him. That’s the other thing - they respond to you quickly on any questions. They have all kinds of classes available. I just can’t say enough. This is the place for you. ❤️

I signed up for the Life Skills classes. Our new rescue dog really benefited from the classes. Mike was professional, patient, and addressed our individual concerns. I can definitely see a difference in how our dog responds to our instructions. I would highly recommend Best Paw Forward.

Best Paw Forward helped us gain so much knowledge and confidence about how to better manage our 3 year old dog in our home. Best Paw Forward provided an excellent training experience for my German Shepherd puppy, Scout. Scout really struggled in group training with another company, but one-on-one training with Michael was tremendously helpful with Scout's challenges with focus, jumping, and some lingering puppy mouthing. Michael has a wealth of expertise, which shows in his training methods and the knowledge he provides to dog owners. Moreover, he made training fun for Scout, and Scout still loves his training games. Jamie was efficient with scheduling and very helpful in finding appointments that worked with my schedule. Follow-up questions were answered thoroughly, and Scout has made great progress in becoming calmer. Pricing was very reasonable for the value of the knowledge and experience offered. We had a great experience with Best Paw Forward! Captain America ("Cap") is young but had some herding tendencies we needed help with, especially around our children. Since he's "graduated" from the Best Paw Forward program, he is so responsive and well behaved. The jumping, barking, and herding are much more controllable and under control.
