Exotic veterinarians are hard to come by but unfortunately this practice run by Dr. Stern leaves something to be desired. I waited a hour in the exam room (1hour) after my appointment time. I stated that I thought I was forgotten about when the Vet walked in and she became very hostile. Told me she makes people wait 2-3 hours and if I didn’t like it there is the door. I am a part of the veterinary medical field and I find Dr. Stern’s professionalism appalling. You could have at least apologized or let me know that you were running behind. I will not be going back. If you love your pets as much as I do go somewhere else! ????

Really good bunny care. Honestly the most knowledgeable exotic vet I've met, treating bunnies seems to be so rare! Thank you for the help with peter rabbit ????

Dr. Stern is the best avian vet we have seen so far. She knows what she’s doing and didn’t question that my bird was sick, unlike the other vet I saw the previous day that told me my bird was merely carsick and that it wasn’t a big deal. I’m sure that if I had listened to the other vet, my bird would be dead by now. She did a lot for us, so of course, the bill wasn’t cheap. I can’t think of anyone else who does what she does since she brought our bird into her home and cared for my bird. It worked, and were so happy to have our baby back to normal. We’re going to even start bringing our dog here since she gave such amazing advice for our dog as well. (I included before and after care pictures.)

SCAM smell - was told $175 consult MUST be pre-paid and included an initial adjustment (VSM - chiro for doggies), but not diagnostics (understandable). Pre-paid and was assured a "very thorough" exam would be done. Took 35 min to see the vet, and she had hands on him less than 5 min (for the "very thorough exam" I was assured of), tried to sell me on a bunch of blood tests, supplements, enzymes, acupuncture, etc. I asked just for the chiropractic adjustment, which is what I came for. She did an actuator all up and down the spine, but appeared to not identify where the subluxations were prior to that. Also adjusted him without maintaining him in a single position - let him sit on a leg - spine is obviously not in a good position for an adjustment like that. Upon checking out, they told me I needed to pay another $110. For what?? I was told the $175 included the adjustment. They told me they never said that and the adjustment was a separate $110. I can't believe it was a $175 consult for the "very thorough exam" which was not. DO NOT recommend and would caution you to stay away. I should have known when they asked for the 1st visit to be pre-paid. Also, vet was not familiar with my dog's medical condition, so I have no confidence in her general practice either. If you choose to go I hope you have a better experience than I did. Edit to respond to business comments: I was standing there holding him the whole time because no tech was in there..I was paying attention. The exam consisted of checking ears mouth and pressing on back, briefly pressing on belly. All very fast. This is not a "thorough exam" in anyone's book and CERTAINLY not $175 worth. I said I was open to supplements with the assurance that with his EPI he would not get worse, and/or acupuncture but primarily open to manipulation, which Dr. Sern recommended. I asked about supplements without other factors but was advised to consider combination enzymes, which are completely inappropriate for an EPI dog. I gave up. Re prior history, even if you didn't get complete medical records I wrote it IN DETAIL on the intake sheet. Which was apparently not read. Clear Dr. Stern was not aware of EPI and did not understand severity of advising for supplements without knowing. Note: EPI is fatal without the "a lot of medication." I am well aware the VSM is different than chiropractic, but spinal manipulation is spinal manipulation, and watching Dr Stern take a shotgun approach to the whole spine without identifying why might specifically be wrong was very concerning. Didn't mention or recommend x-rays. My appointment was 3pm (on time) and I didn't get released til 4:15. Appt with vet was about 15 min. Adjustment was 5 min. The funny thing is, even with ALL this, including being suspicious of the "shotgun approach" to the manipulation, I would have been open to coming back to see if the VSM would work and I was asking about another appt when they shocked me with the $110 charge on top of the $175. This is a ridiculous amount of money for the lack of knowledge and care demonstrated here. I will not be going back and I cannot recommend it.

I have a 15 yr. Peekaboo, who was suffering from acute back pain and spams. She could barely walk. I called Healing Creatures (never had been here before), they immediately got us in that day. We were told there would be a wait. Less than 20min. In a room. Dr. Stern, evaluated Lucy, and recommend VOM. 20 min treatment and my baby is 85% improved. We are following up with another treatment. The Herb combination she gave Lucy, kept her free of pain. I will be taking ALL of our animals to Dr. Stern, for natural healing that works. Thank You, to the staff and doctor who really care about your loved one getting better.

Receptionist is not really friendly. Maybe the wrong person to be taking the calls.

Very costly and no improvement in my dog condition and the wait was ridiculous

My rabbit had an eye problem, I took him to another place and they had no idea. He was on antibiotics for 2 weeks it kinda helped. So I decided to bring him here, within 2-3 days of using NATURAL medicine my rabbit was already doing a lot better. Plain and simple best rabbit vet around!

Dr. Linda Stern and her staff are very compassionate and caring towards all the creatures they have seen. From friends Guinea pig emergencies, to geriatric cats, dogs and of course my birds in emergent and wellness care. She is a dedicated Veterinarian who cares for the Person and the well being of the animals she treats. She saved a chihuahua pup of mine that was failed to given me proper care sheet upon bringing him home over three decades ago. She is trained in holistic alternative care and really is an asset to our animals health and well being. WE APPRECIATE YOU DR. Stern and your dedication throughout the pandemic which brought hard times for many. Your continued care has been optimal. The office offers curbside for those not able to wear a mask upon bringing In their furry friends. Thank you again for years of wonderful service to our community????????????

I attempted to make an appt on June 21st for my pet. Was treated kindly until I was informed masks are mandatory until June 28th. I explained I cant wear one, but it was 8 days earlier then "they " required, that could they see my sick pet and she said NO. I asked if she would relay feedback as I shouldn't be discriminated against because of my own medical reasons and she proceeded to get flippant and say its what we require, thats it. I said thats fine but as a consumer my feedback should be relayed. She continued to give me attitude and was extremely flippant. If this is how their service is for people who can speak up, I hate to see their service for helpless animals. I will go elsewhere and never recommend them. If they dont care about your individualized health, how could they care about your pets.

This business discrimates against people with medical conditions. It is a 75k fine with the ADA. You are not above the law. I will not be coming back. If your that scared of your customers who cannot and choose not to wear a mask maybe you should close and stay home! A mandate is not the law. And you are breaking the law when you trample on your customers rights. You may be a private business owner but you still serve the public and you are still held to the same business rules and laws that apply in PA. You will only get it when you lose enough business or get fined. You cannot treat your customers like the enemy.

I've known dr stern for over 30 yrs and she is one of the very few that deal with exotic animals and holistic care, my cat yrs ago had a bad reaction to a flea treatment that I put on and she saved her life! Dr stern is currently treating my guinea pig thats having issues, I've had almost a dozen guinea pigs that I've taken to her and she is reliable, knowledgeable and she loves animals ! , I would and have recommended her many times she always checks to see how my animals are doing and is very thorough , Dr stern is best in the area

Just returned from taking four cats to Dr. Linda. As usual she was wonderful and caring. The staff is as well. The quality of care is top notch. I love how she listens and takes time with each pet. I would recommend Healing Creatures to anyone.

This literally was the best vet I’ve been to so far. Dr Stern was patient and knowledgeable . She went the extra mile and thoroughly answered all my questions. Her staff was kind and helpful. And at the and of the visit we even left with a new puppy bag full of natural goodies . After many trials and errors I’m so glad I finally found a trustworthy vet concerned with the well-being of my animals and not in selling prescriptions and exams unnecessarily . I only wish I would have found them sooner.

Veterinarian was very rude to me and blamed me for my ferret getting sick. She got mad at my father for having to answer a business call. They basically said they didn’t want to draw blood to see what was wrong with my ferret. The vet techs were very nice and caring!! Also the lady at the front desk is very sweet. I do not recommend because although the employees are sweet, the VETERINARIAN herself was snippy and rude. Hate having to leave a bad review but i was very unsatisfied. 400 dollars later for some x-rays and fluids :/

I came to their office just at closing with an avian emergency. Despite the time, they let us in. Unfortunately, we were literally a minute too late. The staff were so compassionate and patient. They treat their humans as well as they treat their animals. Dr. Stern goes above and beyond! This facility and staff is an asset to the area.

Unless you want hippy medicine, I suggest not going here. Also terrible communication between the hospital and patients. Not to mention they rip you off price wise.

Dr Stern is great. My dogs are thriving thanks to her holistic approach to treating them. Worth the drive from Lewisburg.

Caring and thoughtful. Dr Stern is simply wonderful. She is caring and thoughtful and takes the time needed to really discuss what is "best " for your pet. I highly recommend her. Her staff is great as well.

It can be difficult to find a good veterinarian for our chinchilla. We came in because our chinchilla' s tooth was overgrown. Everyone was so nice and the girls were able to grind down her tooth easily enough without it costing a ridiculous amount. Thank you so much!

Dr Stern and her team are the most attentive and knowledgeable veterinarian office I have ever dealt with. They are friendly, skilled and patient when dealing with my more difficult babies. Twice, one of my ferrets needed an emergency appointment and both times I was able to get in the same day. Dr Stern always educates me on treatment options and is never pushy. I am thrilled to have found this office!

I took my western hognose snake here over a year ago because she had a mouth issue. The vet told us that she had a little inflammation In her mouth and should just put some ointment that she prescribed and all would be good. After it looked like it healed she would reject food a lot and we took her to another vet today and the vet said she had had no calcium and no teeth and that the vet here knew nothing about what she was saying. Place sucks
