Rescue Purrfect Bensalem, Pennsylvania

We adopted Bettina (renamed Willow) over the weekend at Rescue Purrfect. This rescue has a great setup - it's a house that's been converted to a cat rescue, and each room or area of the house contains a different group of cats. Some rooms even have indoor/outdoor amenities for kitties that prefer fresh air! The place was very clean and did not smell at all. The volunteers were super sweet and really helpful. We spent an hour and a half here interacting with all the cats. In talking with one of the volunteers about what we are looking for, she led us to Bettina, and we immediately fell in love with her. I'm talking, my daughter and I, tears in our eyes, holding this sweet, purring cat, coming to the realization together that she was the one. We left with her that day! The adoption process was very smooth - we were approved quickly and had an appointment within a few days, and once we decided to bring Bettina home, everything else was done digitally and quickly. She has adjusted beautifully already - it's day 3, she has already met my dog, and has already explored different areas of the house, and has never darted for a hiding place, and I'm also fairly certain she hasn't stopped purring since we brought her home. Someday when we are ready for another kitty, we will make Rescue Purrfect our first stop! ETA: Just to address some of the 1-star reviews: I found the staff to be very caring and courteous. We never felt pressured to adopt ANY cat, let alone more than one. In fact, we went to meet one cat and came home with a different one that they were able to more closely match with our needs on the spot. And yes, it's a long driveway, and I will admit, driving back there in the dead of winter with lots of dead trees on an overcast day was a little spooky, but I'm a grownup and GoogleMaps managed to take me right where I needed to go. It is in the back of a housing development so was a little confusing but I trusted my GPS and found my way there with no problem. I didn't lose my mind trying to find it. It was no big deal.

We had a very positive experience adopting two kittens. They made the application process easy and quick. I've had multiple cats at once, but never two kittens. I highly recommend it! We adopted two from the same litter, a male and a female. They are so cute together and entertain each other endlessly all day... not to mention hours of snuggling together. It seems like less work having two kittens than any time I've had one. I would definitely adopt from Rescue Purrfect again!

Took my cat to get fixed today as always they do a wonderful job. And their Love and care for our lil critters is always the reason I recommend this place.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I adopted two kittens from them, and they are fantastic. These are some very loved kittens, I could tell as soon as I met foster mom Sandy. The rescue got back to me 2 days after I applied, and I was able to pick the kittens up the same day. I would adopt from them again in a heartbeat.

These are wonderful people and vets doing there best to save animals my magic came home doing wonderful and eating now and getting around wonderfully.... If it wasn't for this bridge clinic I may not been able to get him his shots and neuter .. thank you Magic and I send our love ... I donated a few dollers because there are more animals that need bridge and helping in anyway we can keeps these hardworking loving people saving our pets and also those cats and dogs who still need a loving home Peace. Love.... And Magic and I will help when we can .... Your awesome

My kids and I went to socialize with the cats today at Rescue Purrfect. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and informative about each cat. My kids loved it! I would definitely recommend if you are interested in adopting or fostering????

They waste your time... Don't go here if your looking for a single kitten or cat. They will make you take two.

The staff was friendly and my cat came home Happy after his neuter. My only issue is that it was extremely difficult to find the entrance. There is no road sign and no sign for the facility and it is within a Housing Development so it's very frustrating.

I just want to say that we just adopted our kittens from this place and it was the best experience ever. They people there where so kinda and I’m happy to announce Milo and Weasley to the family. Definitely recommend getting kittens from here.

After a long thought and discussion with kids, we decided to adopt two cats from local shelters. This was our first pets and we went to Petsmart and met the Rescue Purrfect volunteer. We filled the online application and received a quick response. Set up a virtual tour through Facetime and was approved to adopt. The whole process was easy and quick. The shelter runs by volunteers and very organized. We adopted two cats and they were trained very well. I strongly recommend this shelter if you are looking to adopt.

I adopted the sweetest angelic girl, Sylvia, at Rescue Purrfect. She was able to roam free inside the rescue, which made it easy for her to adapt to her new home. There are so many lovable cats at Rescue Purrfect. I’m happy I was able to take home one lovable Sylvia.

So,We just went to adopt a cat and provide a home. But what we ended up doing is falling in love with the rescue itself. (And of course our Kitty!) Entirely run by volunteers who do it for their love of the animals. The amount of love and care is obvious through their work there and in the community. They are able to tell you the personality and name of every kitty, and are honest in providing feedback, so you and the right baby find each other. We were amazed. There are unfortunately A lot of Kitties that are in need of a good home, and thanks to these folks, they are actually given a fighting chance! They were even built a catio! Rescue Purrfect is an amazing organization that dedicated its heart and soul to helping kitties in need! They made the process of adopting our newest family member easy as can be and were thorough In their vetting of our family and home to ensure that our Olive was going to the best possible place possible which we , as cat lovers, appreciate! She came fully vaccinated and was medically cleared so we can be confident she was in the best possible health. The fees were minimal and worth every Penny. We love that we have given an older cat a home for the holidays and we are so happy to have the purrfect addition to our family. Thank you to the fosters and workers that dedicate their time and energy for making this all possible!! I can’t sing their praises enough!

Adopted our sweet Della from them. Process was great and they really care about the cats. Wish we lived closer to be able to volunteer there...so many sweet cats! Hoping to rescue another one soon!

We adopted our kitten Emerald, now Hermione, from Rescue Purrfect. The volunteers were so sweet and helpful. I took my four children to the shelter to pick out a kitten and everyone was so accommodating. The shelter is clean, professional and the animals are obviously very well cared for. We shouldn’t need to adopt again for at least a decade but I will be recommending this establishment to all of my friends in the area.

Asked about a pet being available and quickly received a reply that it was available then proceeded to send an application the same day over email for said pet. No reply after 7 days so I sent a follow up email and received a reply. They told me that they are very busy as they run on volunteers and due to the pandemic which is understandable. I was told I would get a response for my adoption application within 48 hours. 48 hours later I checked online and the pet I inquired for was adopted. Waste of time and effort. Look elsewhere.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I am a first time pet owner and I would come back here again and again if I had the means. I found my forever friend here and the staff was so helpful and supportive. Thank you all!
