They were awesome I hadn't been there in years since my last dog and they still were able to weigh my puppy for me and were very helpful with advice for him

Doc isn't a mushy-gushy vet but he is compassionate and kind and seriously knows his stuff. I still drive an hour each way to take my dogs to him because I trust the clinic and know they'll get great care at a reasonable price. The rest of the team is wonderful with the dogs and so good with me as a worried pet parent .

I moved away, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. My dog needed a surgery and they were able to take care of her quickly as other places near me were a month out

Dr Syken diagnosed my 12 year old dog with Intervertebral Disc Disease, despite not performing any necessary tests or x-rays to truly determine the cause of her collapses these past weeks. Got a second opinion elsewhere and have come to find out she has a large tumor in her spleen that has already ruptured twice and induced an anemic state. If you want your pet thoroughly and correctly treated/diagnosed, I highly recommend against Pennell Veterinary Clinic. Look elsewhere for wholehearted concern and for a Veterinarian who will perform all the proper evidentiary diagnostics for your injured or sickly pet, one who won't go based off of instinct and presumptions.

Dr Syken assumed the diagnosis of my boyfriend’s dog without doing all of the necessary tests/evaluations. Thankfully we sought out a second opinion. If we hadn’t, she wouldn’t have survived.

They took our cats here for dermatitis and it was a great experience. we were very nervous to take our cats to any vet and these guys were very friendly and professional. They took the cats quickly, found the issue right away, and put them on a treatment plan. Now our cats are back to normal and we are so grateful for all their help!

Very sad visit for me today as it was for my Foxy's last. Everyone was very kind. Let me stay with Fox until I was ready to go. We made all arrangements ahead of time so everything went smoothly. Dr. Michelle was very kind and explained everything. The tech's were very kind but I am not sure of their names. Sorry. Fox was 15 and 1/2 years old and had a wonderful life. I will miss her.

they took my cat from me, evaluated her, suggested lab work. After completed, the Vet simply stated, "Here's your cat." I had to ask what his eval concluded which was nothing despite her decline. The next person came to my car simply said, "350 dollars!" Absolutely callous care. One month later the cat is no better. I'm seeking an alternative vet care.

Great vet. Down to earth and doesn’t nickel and dime you. We had to take our 7 month old puppy to see him. I called at 10:45am on a Saturday and he squeezed us in for 11:15. He came highly recommended and now I highly recommend him.

Dr. Syken,Ms. Linda, and other assistants that I met are awesome with my dogs. They've seen my Rottie from a 8wk pup,to full grown. Then his litter of 11. Unfortunately my Rottie passed at the hands of the other dr. there. Luckily i cant remember her name. Before he passed I got a 8wk German Shepherd/ Bernese Mtn mix,and to this day Dr. Syken has been taking great care of him. Everyone Is great and (minus the one) attentive. They sympathize and celebrate with you. They don't just take your pet, take your money and send you on your way. As long as that particular group are there,I will be a forever client.

We started taking our Pomeranian, Bear, to Dr. Syken after becoming dissatisfied with another local veterinarian who became too expensive. I wish we had made the change to Dr. Syken sooner! His staff is so caring and very responsive. We eventually had to euthanize Bear because of illness and I couldn’t have asked for a more caring, more compassionate doctor to perform this last procedure on Bear. If you live in the Aston area, you should be taking your pet to Dr. Syken. And thank you Dr. Syken for making Bear’s trip to the “Rainbow Bridge” a little easier.

I moved to Las Vegas about 6 years ago and just really found a Vet that reminds me of home with Dr. Syken. I found that he is an acquired taste. If you lack humor or just don't have a personality, then he is not for you. He took great care of all 4 of my Shih-Tzus as well as their puppies. My intent is to move back next year and without a doubt I will be returning to Pennell Vet. My dogs loved him and his staff as do I. My dogs actually only liked him. They literally refused any other doctor,. They snapped at or bit the others. They didn't do any of that with him. He worked quickly for the most part which didn't give my dogs time to figure anything out. Essentially he made things quick and painless especially for Chewy who had bad anxiety about many places. For those who may have had a bad experience, I am deeply sorry, however I had the best with this Vet. See you guys next year!!!
