The person that my spouse and I interacted with is wonderful, and it made the experience easier. We are very happy with their service.

i have very mixed feelings about dignified pet services. on the one hand the receptionist there is very nice and sincere in her desire to help. on the other, the week prior to picking up my baby's remains (i'm going to assume i got my cat's & only my cat's remains as the idea of anything else sends me round the bend) i called and specifically told them i had found an urn on amazon and bought that for my girl's final resting place. the woman who answered the phone told me to bring it with me and they would transfer meggie's ashes to her urn. when i got there, i was totally blindsided when informed that they didn't transfer remains to outside urns for liability reaons and apparently hadn't for years. it was already a highly charged situation and to have that bomb unexpectedly dropped was pretty devastating. i was not emotionally prepared to do this transfer myself and felt totally helpless in trying to figure out what to do. while they were somewhat compassionate in their delivery of their policy, they had absolutely nothing to suggest but that i do it myself as it "wasn't that hard". i left there in the midst of a minor meltdown. fortunately my sister had driven me and she was so very kind as to offer to do the transfer for me. i am so very grateful. she even found a toy meggie had obviously favored and put it in the urn with her so she'd always have something to play with.

I wish I could do a negative 5 for this company. They used to be good. But now they've been bought out by some big company, and they took my 21 year old beloved cat and "lost" him by misnaming him, and lied to me for 2 weeks. When I finally got "his" (?) ashes back, they had to tell me that they couldn't give me my requested whiskers or fur, because it was "wet" - and so now I just think of his body, disintegrating into wet sludge. They are disputing my dispute for the measly charges. Not the money, but the principle of the thing. Apparently, they are defending their money. They have no principles. I will never use these people again for such an important service.

Had my cat cremated, received a cheap tin of ashes back with numerous wood splinters inside. Management could not explain this and offered me a 10% discount. I will never know if I really got my cats ashes back or some floor sweepings. I will never ever use this service again.

In helping someone make arrangements for their dog, I was beyond impressed with Dignified Pet Services. Both over the phone and in person, the staff were exceedingly kind, compassionate, and unflappable. Thanks, ya'll.

I called Dignified Pet Services this afternoon to pick up my 33 year old horse that I had to have euthanized this afternoon. Randy arrived within 1 1/2 hours even though it was a Saturday afternoon. He was very kind and understanding. I very much appreciate their kindness and concern.

I have to say I am so impressed with Dignified Pet Services. I lost my mare, Cheyenne, very unexpectedly on Friday evening. Called DPS. On Saturday, Jill was so sweet, she called the equine team to see about their schedule. They would not be able to pick her up until the next morning which was Sunday. On arrival, they asked her name and always referred to her as Cheyenne. They were so gentle with her as they loaded her on the sled and pulled her into the trailer, they all really cared about my baby girl. On Thursday Randy delivered Cheyenne home, she was in a box(not many urns in horse size) and the box had a large bow on top and her name was printed on the front. Randy even removed a few ashes, so i could give to my neighbor, she loved Cheyenne so much. I recommend Dignified Pet Services, truly a very caring group when it comes to taking care of your pet. I will definitely use them again. Thank you so much and Blessings to you all. Deborah

Yesterday we made the hardest decision to put our lovely Bella to sleep. Dr. Hill was truly compassionate, professional, and everything just felt right. I don’t usually write reviews, but dr hill really deserves it. I couldn’t of imagined a better way for my best friend to go, and they made it peaceful and personal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Hill with Dignified Pet Services is wonderful. She came out to our house and sat and listened to some beautiful memories we had with our family dog Teaka before we were all ready to say goodbye. She was patient and sweet to Teaka and …

This service was offered as the default for DoveLewis emergency in Portland, which is an amazing facility with great people. I didn't even think about it, just knew that I wanted the best for my 19-year-old fur-baby and friend. It also wasn't the first time I've had to go down this road, which also made the choices somewhat easy despite the high cost. What I wasn't prepared for, was spending that chunk of change and then seeing the cheap ten cent, flowery tea tin that my cat was returned to me in! Goodness! All my life, my pets have been cremated and treated with dignity, and then returned in a simple wood box with a LOCK! I only gave these people two stars instead of one because they called me a couple of times and kept me updated on the status of things. Just. Wrong. Period.

Words cannot describe...... Our beloved dog, Lola, was diagnosed with Liver cancer, and given one week to live. Six weeks later, she was still eating, running, and playing around. But one day she started to decline in health, until eventually she made it clear that it was time. She stopped eating, and wouldnt go outside except to sit by a tree for hours (which was unusual for her). She was breathing heavy, and had a very bad hacking cough. It was clear she didnt have long, and was starting to be in pain. We called Dignified Pet Services, explained the circumstances, and they came out the same day, driving 30 extra miles, or double their normally allowed distance (all the way up to Deer Island). When she showed up, she was extremely kind and understanding the entire way through. She was willing to accommodate any request we had, and gave us plenty of time with our sweet girl to say final goodbyes. She thoroughly explained the process before begining, ensuring we knew exactly what to expect. Lola went to sleep very peacefully, surrounded by all of her loved ones comforting her (including her brother, Cody) in her favorite spot, instead of being hauled to the vet at the last minute. The lady was also very comforting to Cody, giving him time to see her after the process and try to help him understand. We have a long gravel driveway, and she let us escort her and Lola away with our quads in a country-motorcade fashion. The office called the next day to offer condolences, and let us know that she would be cremated that day. Experience with this company could not have been more perfect. They made one of the hardest things we've ever had to do just that much easier, which made all the difference in the world. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much DPS! We love you, Lola! - Donna, Bob, Jake, and Cody

I was still very much in a cloud of sorrow and disbelief when I made arrangements for our sweet boy, Harley, when we had to say goodbye to him so many years earlier than we ever thought we'd ever have to. I don't recall the woman's name that I spoke with because I was so focused on trying to keep myself together but she was very kind and sympathetic and I am beyond grateful. It was calming to the uneasy feeling I had of him in some unknown place awaiting creamation, alone. They were efficient in their communication and in getting our boy back home to us. I absolutely recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Excellent service. Took us the same day and waited for us even though it was almost closing. Extremely respectful, and supported the mourning process.

Amazing people. I put my horse down and they treated her with more respect than I would’ve thought possible for a stranger to give a dead animal being picked up for cremation. They gave me time to say goodbye and called her by her name, not referring to her as “she” or “it”. Would recommend

Early on in the process of having my dog of 14 years cremated at DPS everything was very professional the woman that helped was extremely nice and compassionate. We were very pleased. When we ordered the Wood Urn for our dog, I called to have it shipped from Portland to Salem,Or and was assured it would ship the next day. 3 days later nothing. I was not happy that it had not shipped, but I did have to keep in mind that things/mistakes do happen. It's just this was an important step for me, in putting my dog to rest so to speak. The woman that I spoke to on the phone was nice and apologized profusely. Thumbs up to her for her help. I would likely use DPS again, but their shipping dept can't let this happen to someone else that is still grieving over their loss. UPDATE 02/05/17: Just received our Box Urn for my dog (Dakota). I have to say that Jenn at DPS went that extraordinary mile for us in making sure we got our Urn. She personally delivered it today (Sunday), in some terrible....ugly weather. We want to thank her profusely for doing that. The Urn....it's beautiful and now my best friend is in his final resting place. Thanks so much Jenn!

Amazing! I had just lost my cat and best friend of 19 years and Amanda from Dignified Pet Services was very kind and compassionate. I was given updates every step of the way which helped me ease my mind since I felt so bad not taking my precious Kiki home with me from the vet.

I didn't get my entire dog back, I received 25 cubic inches of ash, just what fit in a small tin, for my 80 lb dog. Meaning I was given less than 1/3 of my dog when I paid for a full cremation, the rest of him must have been thrown away.

Under the circumstances.... Could have been worse. The guy told me my name was pretty after saying the same thing about our dead cat... They were professional and courteous and if you loved your ex parrot, take them there to get a nice cremation and memorial.

We lost our horse after a terrible accident. Dignified Pet services arrived within 2 hours of her death, and we live in Vancouver, 25 miles away. They were extremely careful, respectful and kind in how they dealth with her, as well as how they were with my husband. Our horse was cremated and back home in 2 days. I cannot explain the ease and care they provided. Her death was a terrible shock, and they made it easier with their kind attitude.

Very professional and caring business, their humanity shines through in a much needed time. They stayed open late to accept a pet, even in bad weather.

Losing Cherie was like losing a piece of my soul. It hurt as badly as losing a person. Dignified Pet Services was very helpful, patient and kind. I am very grateful that this place exists and when when the time comes that we lose another.. we will be coming back.

I lost two of my cats two weeks apart from each other and took them here. I got clay imprints of their paws and tufts of hair as keepsakes and I plan on ordering proper urns for them soon from their site.

I liked some of the customer service of Dignified yet their communication is lacking working in conjunction with Willamette Valley Animal Hospital. Be prepared to be a communication specialist yourself to keep up with them both and they Dignified calls and asks if you if you want pet clippings from your animal, and you say yes, make sure you continue to see they do it because they seem to have forgot they were supposed to do that.. and we can never get our cat's fur again now. Anyway, some good points and bad points though overall okay. I probably would not use their service again though would Willamette Valley Animal Hospital, they were about a 90% rating for me. Thank You Willamette Valley Hospital from our family :)
