My aging yellow lab Dodger and I have had one appointment with Back on Track and I've been impressed, starting with the friendly and caring voice on the phone, then the young lady who hurried to help Dodger out of the car, and finally the long hands-on appointment with Dr. Shaw, who put Dodger at her ease with gentle hands and a kind, professional manner.

Dr. Shaw helped 2 of my dogs walk again. One dachsund with a bad back and my border collie that suffered a fat embolism in her spine. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shaw. Since we adopt senior dogs, i suspect we will be back in time. my other 2 were euthanized just from old age. they lived a happy life.

Dr. Shaw performs MIRACLES!! Our shelter dog, Daisy, was severely neglected with her tail broken in 2 places and never treated. She has severe arthritis and Dr. Shaw sees her monthly to gently release contracted muscles so she can move more freely. People who haven't seen Daisy in a few years are AMAZED at how she is able to walk and even run now that she has been seeing Dr. Shaw. The technicians who also work with Dr Shaw are also amazing! We get Daisy's nails clipped by them and they also give her a shot for arthritis every month. They are the only ones who clip her nails and I don't hear them clicking on the floor afterward like I did at other places. Dr. Shaw researches many treatments and medications and is on top of the best available ones to help dogs. The ones she has prescribed for Daisy are more natural and work very well to keep help her arthritis. I cannot praise her enough!

Dr. Shaw is amazing. She showed our Khaleesi and us so much compassion and care. We are lucky to have such a great resource so close. If you have a senior with aches and pains or a pet that has had surgery, needing some therapy and in need of loving and understand hands, this is the place for you. She made sure we understood everything that was going on with our 65-pound Shepard/Ridgeback girl. I would highly recommend!

Dr Shaw and her staff are the best! They are so compassionate and caring. When Dr Shaw gives our aging kitty a massage, she falls asleep in her arms! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody!

are Welsh Corgi had an accident where she couldn't walk anymore. after a few sessions of rehabilitation she could move her legs. I know every situation is different but we are satisfied with our dog's care.

Dr. SHAW'S outstanding rehabilitation center for dogs and cats is phenomenal - we are so very lucky to have this exceptionally high level of care for our pets in Portland, Oregon. The veterinarians and entire staff genuinely loves animals! My 15 1/2 year old canine has been going for treatments like water treadmill, laser spinal and regular acupuncture for the past two years. The physical therapy has really keep him happy and active. The Back on Track office is professional, clean and has the latest technology for all treatments. Can't say enough about it. My dog is my child! And I would only give him the best of the best for his well being and health. The prices are quite reasonable for the level of care and treatments our canine and feline kids deserve. Dr Shaw and the staff were nothing short of fabulous. From booking my first appointment over the phone to help getting my dogs out of the car and into the playroom (exam room) to helping my dogs feel their best, the professionalism and skill was top notch. Dr Shaw is a dog whisperer. She meets each animal where they are, quickly gains their trust and skillfully gets to work. She would sit on the floor and place my 70 lb lab across her lap. Sally was putty in her hands. By the time Dr Shaw was finished manipulating stuck bones and soothing tight muscles, Sally and her sister, Lucy, would be walking taller with FAR more ease. With the help of Dr Shaw and her staff, Sally was able to have an extra year or two of pain free living. Sadly, Sally passed away two weeks ago at the age of 17. When I look back on her years and the time and money spent, Back On Track stands out by far as the best thing I did for my dog. It was quality time with quality people. How fortunate we are to have them in our community.

Back on Track has been a joy to work with. They always keep you updated on the dog's progress and give exercises to use at home so I feel like I am a active participant in the dog's progress. Dr. Shaw is so in tune with the dog it is amazing and they just lay and let her do her exam. Great place to take your animal.

Very impressed with Dr. Shaw and her staff and so was my dog, Charlie! I experienced great relief watching him respond to her manipulations of his body which appeared to provide immediate relief to his arthritic pain and tightness in his muscles. He and I will be working on an exercise regimen, together with other interventions to aid in his overcoming the discomfort from his athleticism which has caught up with him at 13 years.

The whole team at Back on Track is fantastic. Kind, caring, dedicated. Dr Shaw is very hands on in working with your dog's condition. It's not all about blood tests and X-rays, it is a holistic insight and how to keep your pet healthy and pain free. My Corgi dog passed last year due to a genetic spine disease and Dr Shaw and the team helped her with rehab exercises, stretching procedures, and even got her a little wheel chair when it was time. Just can't recommend them enough!

We used Back on Track Vet Rehab for two of our dogs, both of whom, sadly, have crossed the rainbow bridge. But that was a number of years ago. It's a great practice and both dogs benefitted greatly from the care. I would highly recommend.

I would encourage anyone who has a dog that is unable to move, walk, run, and play as they had once loved doing, to make an at Back on Track for help. There is no reason to give up on an animal even when your veterinary doctor has no solutions. Even the first appointment, the evaluation appointment where Dr Shaw carefully goes over the dog's entire body in order to figure out what is causing the problem, is so valuable. I first became acquainted with Back on Track many years ago when my 8 year old shih tzu, didn't even want to go for his usual walks. After that first visit, he was a new man! Not out of the woods yet, (we had work to do), but he definitely walked out of the office with a spring in his step and a happy face. He kept on moving for almost five more years through periodic work outs in the aquatic treadmill. Since then two other dogs of mine have been to see Dr Shaw, who is like a dog whisperer. She is very good with them, the dogs, all shapes and sizes. Back on Track also has a very knowledgeable team working along side Dr Shaw. All in all, the office is very professional, compassionate, and totally supportive for the animals and their well being. I highly recommend Back on Track. Your dog will love you for it and will probably live a longer, happier life.
