Cardiology Northwest the whole entire team there and Dr.Wood are so helpful and caring they truly care about there patients they give nothing but the absolute best care and there just is not enough good things that I can say they just are the best they made my girl Betty life so much more comfortable for it all they were there the good and bad

My kitty is 15 years old with a heart condition. He is now on a second medication that costs more than my own. The clinic went above and beyond to locate a place that I could order his medication for about half the cost. I love all they have done to keep my kitty mouse living a longer and still active life.

When I’ve had concerns and been on a wait list to be seen, they always work to get us in. My kitty Kaiya is nearly 16 years old. She had a pre-dental blood panel to confirm that it would be safe to have her teeth cleaned. It was decided that we would include a test to evaluate her heart function to be confident that she would be ok. It turned out that she had a heart marker that was 10 times higher than normal while the rest of her blood work was perfectly normal. I received several referrals and was told that it could be weeks to months before I would be able to get an appointment. I intended to contact the closest provider to my home in Vancouver, WA but mistakenly dialed the provider that was the furtherest away in Tualatin, OR. That call was meant to happen because Cardiology Northwest had just received a cancellation for a week later, July 9(the next available appointment was November). The appointment was set and I was placed on waiting list to get an earlier appointment if there was another cancellation. An hour or so later, I received a text message offering an appointment the next day, June 30. Kaiya's situation was rather urgent and I set the appointment. I am so glad that I found Dr Wood because he and his staff are so kind and gentle. My girl is very cooperative but they took care to ensure that she was comfortable throughout the entire process and allowed me to be there so I could provide support for her and get the full benefit of witnessing the echocardiogram and better understand her diagnosis. Dr Wood provided a detailed protocol including detailed explanations of the medications, how to monitor her resting respiratory rate, and worked with my primary vet to cooperatively provide ongoing care. Today, three weeks later, Kaiya is back to being her talkative, bossy self and I couldn't be happier with the care that she is receiving at Cardiology Northwest. Thank you to Kiri for getting Kaiya that appointment! Thank you to Stephanie and Brogan for the gentle care with which you handled my precious girl! A big thank you to Dr Wood for providing such a thorough explanation of Kaiya's condition and for the patience you had for all of my many questions!

My experience at Cardiology Northwest was wonderful and they obviously care about their patients and clients. . Although when I originally called I was told the first appointment was over 4 months out when I explained the circumstances they worked some magic and we were seen within a week. Everything was fully explained in an understandable way at the time we were at the clinic, I could only wish my own doctor was as good at communicating as what Dr Wood and his staff were. It was not the information we wanted to hear but was the information we needed to know. In fact the open communication was my favorite thing concerning about the visit. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone with confidence.

They explained everything they were doing. I got to watch the screen, and be with my pup the whole time. After the pictures were done they completely went over everything in easy to understand English. plenty of time for questions. They were gentle and kind towards my nervous dog. I really don't have any bad things to say, and I'm so glad I choose Cardiology Northwest.

They helped my dog not suffer from heart valve problems.

My Smoo came here for a Cadiology exam that we had scheduled months prior. Everyone here was so nice, and communicative with every question I had. They made Smoo feel comfortable and calm the entire exam. Cats are so unpredictable sometimes but Smoo felt right at home. Thank you guys for being such an awesome team, and we look forward to a smooth visit next time.

Absolutely wonderful staff and Dr Wood is simply the best!

Only way to have made experience even better would be if I had been able to go into clinic with my dog, Eli - he would have preferred as well! Unfortunately, due to restrictions because of Covid-19, that is not an option at this time. Eli has gotten great care at Cardiology Northwest, after each visit I get a comprehensive 2 page report, Dr. Wood follows up in an email and staff there is outstanding!

Many of my pets have been patients of Dr. Wood and Cardiology Northwest. Dr. Wood does a thorough exam and intake and designs an individualized plan for each pet that allows them to thrive. My cat Monkey Boy was diagnosed with heart disease at 1 year old and given perhaps 18 months to live. With Dr. Wood's care, he lived to 9 years old!

Dr Wood and his vet techs are one of the most knowledgeable, caring and compassionate staff I've had the pleasure to take my pets too. I don't like that my pets require his services, but I'm glad that he is their heart doc. They are truly exceptional humans.

I visited Cardiology Northwest last month December 2020 when my dog was on what I thought was his last leg. I brought Rocky into Cardiology Northwest and Stephanie came out to get Rocky, she was so extremely nice and friendly and extremely informative. I was a mess, crying and very emotional but she was able to make me feel so much better and completely at ease. I brought with me about 15 questions for Doctor Wood due to not being able to be in the office because of the coronavirus restrictions. I didn’t think that Dr. Wood would be able to answer all my questions if any but not only did he answer each question when he called me on the phone, he answered all my questions on the paper I provided as well as even emailed me a summary of the visit. Dr. Wood went beyond any other Doctor. I am so thankful for the detail and effort that Doctor Wood put forth in my time of need. He also added precious time with my little dog. Rocky was in such a terrible state and Doctor Wood’s diagnosis and medication prescribed were an unbelievable change. He is a miracle worker. Rocky is now acting like he did 10 years ago, he is so much better. I am so extremely grateful for everything Doctor Woods and his staff provided not only to Rocky but to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone involved in Doctor Woods office and a special thanks to Stephanie and Doctor Wood. Then today I called Doctor Wood’s office to get a refill on the medication and one of the wonderful employees Kiri not only called in the prescription three different types (due to issues with the pharmacy) but she was able to help me find the best price. Kiri was extremely helpful and she really cared about her customers. I can’t thank her enough for her help in this process especially in such a hard time for everyone she was willing to help me and went over and beyond. We arrived on time for our appointment and were greeted by a staff member right away after some phone questions were answered. Due to Covid, of course we could not enter the building, and that makes one nervous. But they took great care of our dog (heart murmur) and he pranced out happily post procedure. We had a thorough follow up call with the veterinarian who cared for our dog. He answered our questions and gave us a solid feeling that our animal received quality and safe care. We will continue to go here to keep our pet healthy.

Dr. Wood is so incredibly resourceful, patient, respectful and knowledgeable! I've been taking my cat to Dr. Wood for his DCM, and so far have only needed yearly echos thankfully. But if we ever need to go more often if my cat's heart gets worse, I know we're in the best of hands! His staff is also very sweet and helpful! Really can't go wrong here!

Dr. Woods and his team are amazing. When we were first researching cardiologists for our dog Oskar, our vet provided 5 names. After reading reviews we opted with Cardiology Northwest and honestly I couldn't be happier. Dr. Woods knowledge paired with the care from both him and his staff is outstanding. We have had many close calls where we needed to rush Oskar to the emergency vet after which Dr. Woods is always prompt to follow up, discuss treatment options and next steps. On top of all of this, I know he and the team are always considering our pocket book. This speciality service is not cheap, but they are always clear to lay out options, the costs associated and help us make a decision based on what will be most beneficial in the situation. I know that without Dr. Woods and his treatment we would have lost Oskar last year, he has given us valuable time with him and for us that is invaluable. Thank you Dr. Woods and team!

Both of my dogs, Fidel and Benicio, 15 yrs and 14 yrs. respectively were recently diagnosed with CHF (congestive heart failure). We were referred by our regular vet to Cardiology Northwest for follow up. I am thrilled by the care my boys have received from Dr Wood and his team. Dr Wood performs a thorough exam and provides a written summary complete with references to online sites which have additional information about the condition itself as well as medications. Dr Wood is very kind and gentle with his patients and their people. We have follow up appointments to fine tune medications. Clearly my pets have improved quality of life as a result of Dr Wood's treatment. I feel very fortunate that we have a knowledgeable and compassionate heart vet in Tualatin. It goes without saying that he has improved MY quality of life beyond measure!
