Okay first off they were open and took our dog. There communication is very poor. Example we took our dog in around 650ish and you have to call a number which I get and they said it might be a bit, now here is where they should explain …

Brought my dog Ellen here on an emergency basis Monday (11/29/21) evening to have them discover a pyometra which required immediate removal. Within hours, Ellen was out of surgery and recovering which she continues to do at the time of this writing. Without the care and attention recieved here in such a timely fashion I would have likely lost her. The staff here are animal people and care about their patients well being which showed in every single staff member. Thank you. My only concerns and reason for not leaving 5 stars relates to the COVID protocols which nearly prevented me from being able to say goodbye to my dog before a serious surgery.

Been waiting almost 3 hours to pick up my cat. Called in twice and was told each time another 20 minutes..... Oh another 30 minutes. It's been over an hour waiting, no one can tell me anything about the meds I'm giving my cat and apparently it takes 2 hours and counting to write up discharge papers. I am out here with my grandmother sitting in the dark in the car. This is a vulnerable position for us to be in. It's freezing and we've had to turn on the car several times to get the heat on. The receptionist was very little help claiming we've been moved up on the list for discharge. Apparently that did absolutely nothing as it's been another 20 minutes. I feel stuck, cause there are literally no other places to take my cat in the event of an emergency and my complains and concerns are not taken seriously cause the only other option is to drive to Corvallis. And I honestly can't leave cause I don't have my cat.

I’ve had two positive experiences here. Once when they helped us put down a bunny in the middle of the night. The cost was very low and we left there having only to think of our bunny and family. I called them a few days later to settle the bill. Again, in the middle of the night, I was able to send in a video of my dogs intermittent respiratory symptoms. The vet called me back immediately and discussed possibilities. He ended up resolving on his own and never had to wait there or pay a bill. Unfortunately, health care is a business and business is expensive; add Emergency to the title and expensive gets expensiver. In these two experiences, I’ve never felt money was the top priority and only that they truly care for the animals they see. I’m glad that the only real and local option for emergency pet care is this place. Best wishes to you and your pets.

This organization is full of compassion. The care is absolutely amazing at all hours of the day and night. They are sensitive to expense.

The vets here really care. My sweet baby was ill and they took care him. Wait times can be quite long on the weekends.

Everyone was nice and empathetic. Had to put my dog down. Kind and professional

Very professional and helpful. It is essentially an urgent care so they prioritize based on severity, not a first come first serve basis unless it's life threatening.

Only go here if it’s your last resort like life or death emergency and definitely take a chill pill first and be ready to be strung along like a child asking about a Disneyland vacation the entire fu*king time.

My rat tore a stitch after having surgery, they were able to see her quickly and were all so kind. They wrapped her up and sent us on our way in a timely manner

Go to literally any other vet hospital. In my experience this is the most expensive clinic. If you have thousands to spare that's great, but you can have the same treatments for hundreds literally anywhere else. Vets agree.

During one of the worst nights, after my puppy got hit by a car, this Animal ER was my beacon. They were very, very busy with other emergencies but the staff and Vet kept me informed of her injuries, surgical needs and possible outcomes. Did not get the miracle I was hoping for but they made it easier.

The cost was unbelievable. They still couldn't tell me what was wrong with my dog.

I love my pets its just sad that at the end of the day it all comes down to money. The care is terrific top notch veterinarian service. However $4,000 .00 for an overnight with a cat that has a Urinary tract infection. Be prepared to pay a lot of money. Try care credit or pet insurance before you get to this point. Bless you and your pet. If you found this review to be helpful please like it...????????????????????????

These guys are super caring and considerate. It's an emergency vet, so they deal with the worst situations and they do it with compassion.

Tanya was the only good thing about this place & I only got to talk with her when we admitted. The rest of the staff is a dumpster fire. Nobody knows what’s going on & the staff (besides Tanya) is burned out &/or just rude. I’d get different answers over the 18 hours I waited (mostly sitting in their parking lot because I had zero indication of how long this would take) for a blood test & an ultrasound. $1k later and an entire day of my life sitting uncomfortably in their parking lot there was no diagnosis. It’s so hard when your pet is giving you a health scare- this place took FULL advantage of the “scare” part. I took my pet into another vet the next day & there ended up being nothing wrong with them aside from a small scrape in its mouth that was causing the blood that initiated the scare. I have no idea what I would do if I had another after hours emergency because I would be loathe to revisit this place. I honestly wondered sitting there if it wouldn’t be better to go hours out if my way to the next 24 hr veterinary emergency hospital. I hope I’m never in that position again.

My poor dog was dying she’s only five months old and all these people cared about was money!!!!!! I had gave them $1600 and they still sent me home because I didn’t have the $8000 to get my puppy a blood transfusion in surgery they told me your bill is racking up you’ve been here a few hours already either pay or put her to sleep . they are crooks they should not be in business I’m going to the news I’m doing everything I can to make this known!!! Thank God for this one place three hours away I drove my Dying puppy praying over her Three hours away the most loving compassionate veterinarians gave her surgery and she’s alive right now thank God for them!

My husband and I took our puppy to the emergency vet in Springfield because her stool was dark and tacky. I read online that this could mean she has intestinal bleeding and to take her to the vet right away. We were obviously terrified. We adore our puppy. The vet techs who came out to the vehicle to test her for parvo and to bring her back out to us were very kind towards us and our puppy. It was horribly stressful not being able to go inside with our puppy and just waiting without any idea of how she was doing or how long we'd wait, but I understand they're probably following covid policies and restrictions out of their control. We had to wait throughout the triage. Waiting for so long was good and bad. Because we waited so long, I assumed her case was not viewed as urgent. We were given an estimated wait time of a few hours. The vet was able to call us in just over an hour to tell us she checked out well and they would send the fecal sample I'd brought to be tested. They said they would take our puppy back out to us shortly and she could wait with us while they totalled the bill and got her some probiotics. It was presumed the stool looked questionable because she was wormed 3 days ago and the dead worms could be the reason for the dark waste. It could also be because of adding a new kibble to her diet even though we did so in small amounts, with a slow introduction to her diet. She wasn't brought out to us for another 40 minutes. During that time, I was worried that she'd taken some sort of down turn and they had to keep her. I couldn't stand the waiting and not knowing so I called again. I was trying not to because I know they're busy and are doing all they can. They seemed relieved that I'd called because they'd been trying to call out to make sure we were still there to bring her back out, but couldn't get a call through due to the many calls coming in. I appreciate the care the vet techs who came out to our vehicle took with our puppy and the reassuring and compassionate way the vet spoke to us on the phone. It was agonizing to wait in the car not knowing anything, but again, I realize that is not the clinic's fault.

We had a wonderful experience here with our cat that had something stuck in his throat. Arrived about 11 p.m. from Roseburg. Our cat is fine after the exams and proceedures. The thing I liked the most was they didn't gouge us with an astronomical charge for services. In fact, they actually refunded us a portion as their estimated cost ended being less than the minimum they charged us. Great caring and professional staff (The Dr., Natalie and Company) Well done!!!????‍⬛

Hello this is Tim Nelson. I came in last night with a Basset Hound named Eeyore. His was diagnosed with Pneumonia. I just wanted to give an update to the vet, Dr. Hayati Wolfenden. He looks to be feeling 1000 times better. He’s just been drowsy from the gabapentin and stopped coughing blood. I just wanted to the thank the hospital for taking such great care of him, especially the Dr. Eeyore and I both appreciate you.
