My pets have been seen here for a couple of years due to a family member being employed here... HOWEVER... now that this person is not employed here, I have run into some issues... The #1 thing is that they want to have your per seen for just about anything and everything... Don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in preventative care, but being required to bring your dog in every time they need flea meds is ridiculous... That's NOT the only thing but just an example... Theres also the FACT of their TERRIBLE record keeping... In general, I get a sense of being "taken for a ride" EVERY time I need something for my pet and I'm tired of paying out the @$$ for mediocrity... It ends now. I thank them for their service, but I will be going elsewhere and dealing with folks with more competence. They are "nice", but "nice" doesn't excuse unnecessary visits. That's called "greed" ????

They are consistently helpful and attentive. I chose them 13 years ago and have never had reason to doubt this decision.

I am so pleased to refer my neighbors, friends and family to Orchard View. The prices are economical. Also, I am impressed with the level of customer service. The staff bends over backwards to make sure my doggies had everything that they needed during their very long lives.

Luring me into the office telling me, yes, I can buy flea stuff without a wellness check. I arrive and then, no you cannot buy it without making an appointment. What the hell????

Always had terrific care here. Staff gets to know your pets, super reasonable rates, awesome communication about procedures, extra/optional additional costs. Highly recommend! Thankful such good folks are also conveniently located to my house.

Orchard View have great staff and accommodating with my pet’s needs. The staff truly care and that’s great! However, staff need to talk to their customers about how much procedures cost before treatment is administered. I would also recommend that infections are treated. Guidance states infection should be treated for 14 days and not 7 days. Short cuts cost the customers money, $700 dollars later, my pup is still has an infection. During this situation, my pup was dealing with a bad situation. Staff were attentive, kind and professional, bit I will not be going back.

the perfect veterinary clinic. i made the right decision to bring my frightened dog here; they took great care with her and she left happy. which made me happy. 100% recommend.

They were absolutely amazing with my girls. I have very large dogs who can be quite a handful (excited crazy) and they stepped right in and took them and got the job done! I couldn't believe it. I can't thank them enough for everything. I would totally recommend this place for your veterinary needs!

The staff had really great follow up with me about my dog Marley. She had gotten sick and they called me daily after her appt to follow up and see how she was doing. They were wonderful, supportive and professional. I highly recommend!!

Never in my life have I called a vet to have the response be 'We are not accepting new clients". Put me on hold for 10 minutes, just to answer and give a short quip and hang up. New to the area? Don't waste your time here!

We are so pleased to have Orchard View Veterinary Center for all our dogs needs. They have been great taking care of them! The prices are reasonable Our dogs as well as us knew they were in good hands. Our furry kids Love them! We highly recommended them to our family & friends!

We moved to Salem after living in the South for most of my dogs’ younger years. Finding a good vet office, staff and veterinarian is not an easy task. I’m glad I found Orchard View. They’re always booked up, which is a good thing because that means people want and trust their pets going here. Though they’re usually booked full, they’ve always worked with my schedule to find a time to see my dogs during sudden changes or emergencies. Their communication is great, the staff is sweet and helpful, and my dogs do not fear the vet office.

The staff is nice, but communication is poor. Speaking to someone can sometimes be difficult since their line is always busy. Usual replies to voicemails seem to be about 2-3 days at least. I do like the office, and have been taking my pets here for years, but the cost for any service has now become more expensive than other veterinary clinic near by. Wellness exams average $70.00

Outstanding attention to comprehensive pet care. A loving, warm, caring staff and Chris is an outstanding veterinarian. My dog has had surgeries there and has received outstanding follow-up care. Chris is a great veterinarian with a wonderful staff that augments this clinic team!

I've been here twice now. The first time my cat had a minor urinary issue. The vet tried to sell me the brand of cat food they get from one of their vendors as a treatment, and said my cat might need surgery. I went home and googled the issue (I know, bad move), and found several articles encouraging switching cats with urinary issues or dehydration to wet food. I tried that and it did the trick. Haven't had an issue since, and didn't have for high priced specialty food or friggin surgery. The second time I didn't even get my cats in the building. Granted, this is during covid. I got the notification text and responded yes to confirm the appt. I showed up ten minutes early. And waited. And waited. And waited... I called them after half an hour and informed them I was there. The receptionist said "oh, because you're late you'll have to wait." I informed her that I was not late and had in fact been early, and that one of their staff people had walked out to the parking lot and seen me out there. Then she told me I was supposed to call in on arrival, which I did. Not. Know. I waited in a 95 degree car with two stressed out and screaming cats for about 20 more minutes before I decided to leave, for my sanity and the wellbeing of my two very stressed out cats. Bad, bad customer service, snarky attitudes from the two women i talked to, and poor communication and organization. I do not recommend going here. I'm absolutely mystified by the other good reviews. Hopefully my experience was the exception, but I'll be looking for another vet.

Bad experience. They don't communicate to clients, staff are snarky, unapologetic, and do not try to rectify their mistakes. On top of all that they are expensive. I'd suggest seeing a different vet.

Pleasently surprised by my experience. My cat has some behavioral issues and can be aggressive with strangers. Our last vet was scared to handle her. The tech knew how to handle her well and my cat even let her pet her. My cat was nervous with the vet, but the vet was able to calm her down and wrap her in a towel to finish the exam and give her shots. Would recommend especially if your cat has issues with vets or strangers like mine.

Very, very friendly staff. They were knowledgeable, professional, and competent. My dog always gets nervous at vets, but they were calm and sure and it calmed my dog down. The entire visit went so smoothly. I'm really happy I found them. Update: after seeing this vet fairly regularly for the past 6 months, I still have nothing but positive things to say. When my dog needed surgery to remove a lump, they were there to support. I got a quote for the surgery that was very reasonable, and the price was given upfront before anything was done. My dog healed quickly with the help of their aftercare. Covid19 has been stressful, but I'm impressed by how this office is handling everything. They are calling and communicating, and giving clear and detailed instructions of what we need to do as patients. I feel safe and comfortable there, and my dog does as well. I still highly recommend this office.

I have been taking my Golden Retriever here for about a year and a half, and the staff has always been kind and professional. I don’t have any complaints and feel that Orchard View provides quality care to my pup!

They are a team that we rely on to take care of our dog and cat. Dr. Crawford is an experienced, knowledgeable and kind vet. She has given us great advice and helped us to deal with, and improve, the health issues our pets have had. The techs are patient and kind and truly assist us in all situations.

Orchard View Veterinary Center was recommended to me by a good friend. I wanted high quality care for my beloved pugs who had some negative experience with other veterinary providers. We have patronized OVVC for several years and have confidence that the veterinarians and associates take loving care of our all our pugs. We have just one pug left and entrust her care to OVVC.

There have been recent news stories in a Oregon that have caused me fear of veterinarians!! Thankfully, I feel very confident bringing my pets here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The Veterinarians are caring and I have no fear leaving my fur babies here. They are upfront with fees. It is not the lowest cost vet clinic in town. But, many have learned the sad fact that your pets may receive substandard care at so called "low cost clinics". I trust Orchard View and plan to keep bringing my pets here!!

My dog has a massive lump on her side. I am not a vet, but before taking my dog here, I knew it was most likely cancer. My husband I did research. I wanted confirmation so I know when is a good time to put my dog to sleep so she will not suffer. When I took her, I was in an emotional state, and I should have known better. They charged $700 for an x-ray and took samples of her mass. The next day, the vet calls and says she does not have a definitive answer, but it looks like cancer. Why call and tell me this? Because she wanted to sell me to another vet to have surgery on a massive lump, now most likely cancer, and then suggest radiation, which they only do in Seattle. A radiation session is anywhere from $2000-$6000. I love my dog dearly, she saved two Combat Veterans from the effects of war. I owe this dog my life, but I have no way to pay for that. Instead of telling me the results and other options, she was selfish and wanting more business. The 4.7 star rating is for those who can afford it. If you are like the rest of us, we are just getting by.

We have three dogs; one small, one medium and one jumbo sized. They are well cared for by the vets and techs there so it's worth the drive into town to have then seen.

They were upfront about fees And expectations, providing a reasonable quote ahead of time and had a plan in place to avoid spreading COVID-19. After the appointments for my dogs they were thorough and knowledgeable with notes and advice. Highly recommend.
