I wanted to leave a good review, because I was a loyal customer at Sellwood Pet Supply for almost five years, but after today's experience, I am disgusted. I have always honored this store's (unscientific) mask policy, but recently was just grabbing a pre-paid order located near the front door. I was in the store for about two seconds, during which a clerk at the back of the building yelled, "For future reference---WEAR YOUR MASK!" Her tone was extremely belligerent and confrontational. Feeling attacked (and also confused, as I was already stepping back out of the building), I shot back, "I don't play that game anymore!" and returned to my vehicle. The clerk followed and shouted, "Then you don't have to shop here!" If I had been wandering maskless throughout the entire business, a gentle but courteous reminder would have been warranted. But as I said, I was only ducking in for literally two seconds, and the woman's tone was extremely rude and self-righteous. I received the message loud and clear--I won't be shopping there again and will definitely spread the word about how they treat their (former) long-term customers.

Lovely neighborhood pet supply store. They take health protocols seriously during the pandemic. The resident dog behind the counter is such a sweetie. Staff are helpful.

I am a regular here and I LOVE this place. Ilene is such an INCREDIBLY knowledgeable person about all things pets…the best person they could possibly have working there, helped me soooo much. Sharp knowledge and deep research done personally! Very admirable employee that deserves praise after praise…and every single person who works there is absolutely fabulous. Genuinely caring people who are friendly and want to help. We end up having great conversations when I go there!

They always have peacock feathers ???? for my cat's, and I just roll by on my long recumbent trike rides, hand the money in thorough the door and they bring them out to me. My cat's love peacock feathers!

This is our local pet store where we purchase pet food and supplies from. They offer delivery which is nice for those who may have challenge in getting things home themselves. Make sure to join their club as a client as you get monthly coupons and free dog food after so many purchases. Super cute store.

It is really hard to find a pet store that carries the dog foods that we use. I usually have to order it ahead of time. When traveling it is hard to do. Wonderful store, great layout and the best products!

I love this pet store. They always ask before giving my pets treats, which is appreciated since one of my dogs has a very sensitive tummy. Not every store does this and its a small thing that goes a long way. They always have really high quality stuff and give excellent recommendations. If you can't find what you need they can usually order it or help guide you to an appropriate substitution. I tell everyone to go to this store and always hear good things from people who go. My pets would not be as spoiled as they are if not for this place and the wonderful staff there.

Really glad this business is part of our community, they’ve been smart and safe in the changes they’ve made and are clearly trying their best in a challenging time. I hope customers here spend more time thinking about the fact that the people who work here are human beings, and less time thinking about things that literally do not matter; for example, the birthday of an animal who cannot know it is their birthday.

Great selection of foods and treats and excellent prices. Friendly, helpful staff, too

Their setup to deal with covid is the epitome of someone freaking out about a situation to the point they make it dangerous for others. Social distancing is almost impossible for the customers the bunch together all right at the door because they'd rather make everyone else uncomfortable than just clean their store after customers come through like everyone else is doing. You cannot go into the store at all, customers have to stand on these pink squares in their tiny entryway and wait for help. This is very uncomfortable and takes forever.

I always appreciate the customer service and a peek at the newest cat up for adoption star (during non-covid times). During covid, they're great at making it clear where to go, what to do, and keeping one customer in an area at a time. Feels safe and good to shop there.
