Absolutely awful. I was going to bring my pet in and I live literally 4 minutes away, but they insisted that I stay in the car at their parking lot for 2-4 hours waiting for the doctors to "triage". Either you give me a reasonable wait time (1-2 hours), or let me drop him off and I will come back when it's done. Making the owner wait up to 4 hours at the parking lot when I live literally 4 minutes away is unacceptable.

My dog needed TPLO surgery to repair a torn CCL and I was a nervous wreck about it. Cascade Veterinary did a great job of easing some of my nerves and did a wonderful job caring for my large and timid dog. She isn't good about being handled by people other than me but everything went great. Highly recommend!

We took our dog here after noticing he was looking and acting extremely sick. Even though we waited a very long time in our car, we got in fairly quickly. However, the doctors communication with what she expected was wrong with our pup was less than acceptable. She performed blood work and after not finding anything, did not recommend a fecal test or even a parvo test, even with having all the symptoms. Instead, the vet recommended he stay there overnight for 2,000 dollars without any explanation or idea on what they think might be wrong with him. The vet made us feel shamed and judged for not being able to afford a $3,000 overnight stay with no plan on moving forward with a possible diagnosis. Once we said no to the overnight stay, she wanted to discharge our dog instead of conducting a fecal test or parvo test like we requested, acting rude and annoyed that we couldn’t come up with the extra 2,000 dollars for an overnight stay. We decided to take him to the Willamette veterinary hospital instead where we were met with exceptional service and care. They couldn’t believe how much we were getting charged and did everything they could to take care of our pet while also looking out for our best interest.

Excellent surgery team! Very friendly staff answering phones, they always find the answer you need right away. Great vet assistants too! All in all an excellent place to take your pet for surgery as well as in an emergency!

I had a very difficult experience with this hospital. They charged me two thousand dollars for an overnight stay for my chihuahua who had injured her neck. The vet was cold and bullying, insisting I pay for something I could not afford. My dog was in great pain and despair and when I picked her up in the morning she was exactly the same. They gave her some pain pills and basically said good luck. I was horrified by the way we were treated. I called the next day and they said to bring her back in and I said I cannot afford another 2,000 dollars for NOTHING!!!!!!!! I am FIGHTING to get at least some of my money back. I am a retired senior with an income of 35,000 a year. It is a struggle to pay this ridiculous bill. Karen and Dottie Kucharski was able to get into vet after the thanksgiving holiday and my vet started her on anti-inflammatory meds and she is on the mend now. My vet charged me less than 300.00 and took the dog out of her excruciating pain. I thought EMERGENCY vets were supposed to make your dog at least comfortable at best. DON"T use CASCADE!

I took my puppy (20 month old golden) here Saturday and told them she had been lethargic for 2 days and her pads on her paws were very tender. They took her in but said they were closing early. They came back out with her quicker than I would have thought and said they weren't charging me bc it was just an allergic reaction. Now it is Monday and I have spent most of the day at my usual vet while they try and get her into an emergency hospital bc she has a fever of 105 and is very, very sick! They called this place to get the records only to be told there weren't any bc they never did a full exam! She is now at the hospital where she will have to stay the night getting IV antibiotics and steroids! DON'T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! As my vet told me take her to a good hospital!

Overpriced, poor communication, the staff is rude. They don’t care about you or your pet. The list is long: They failed to explain the (terminal) condition my pet had so I had to make my own research, they made me wait on their parking lot for hours even though the treatment for my pet was already completed, they sent my pet back in the wrong cage, they tried to charge me twice, they sent my pet home with a needle still on her paw… The worse part: They lied about the percentage of success of a surgery that turned out to be horrible and unsuccessful, when my pet’s condition got worse (two weeks after surgery), they recommended to give my pet steroids without considering that she could have a heart condition, she died shortly after. Going there was the worse mistake I could have made, and paid over 12K for the whole treatment, do not fall for it. This is the Mall of veterinary care, they only care about the money.

Very friendly personnel but had surgery done to correct faulty Ureters on my Golden with Surgery unsuccessful and very expensive. They can revisit but for a fee. Disappointment is an understatement, was really hopeful surgery would correct the dribbles.

Highly recommend this place for emergencies, or if you just can't get in to see your regular vet. Dr. Im took care of my newly-adopted dog after he developed kennel cough-related pneumonia, and could not have been more thorough and kind. I also really appreciated that he and the staff went out of their way to help me cut costs. I was so stressed, I probably would've agreed to pay anything in the moment, but they went out of their way to give me options and help me find the meds at a more reasonable price.

Amazing! Doctor was very informative. Covered all results and options in detail. Staff was very kind. Had a bit of a wait but like any ER, they triage and prioritize based on severity. Highly recommend for emergency appointments! Call first, and expect to wait in the car during exam because of Covid.

One phone call was all I needed. Ive never been here so I cannot give a review on the actual treatment of my animal. However, the lady on the phone was totally rude. Cut me off several times, made my concerns seem totally invalid. The actual care may be good but the customer service I received totally sucked.

Brought them our cat after he felt worse from treatment of another clinic. Doctor Johnson was really helpful, made a right diagnosis and gave a medicine that healed our fluffy pet. We are very happy and grateful that some good doctors still exist in this world.

My dog Otis had to have his nares done and soft pallet to breathe better,he is a French bulldog. When they called to let me know how he is doing they told me that one of the technicians actually crawled in his crate to comfort him????this made me feel so good. It brought tears to my eyes. They went above the beyond and I am so grateful for that. They really care about there patients. I highly recommend them Patty G

We took our sweet, elderly Chihuahua here around midnight after she had a seizure. They were very responsive, thorough, and kind. It was quite inexpensive and timely for an emergency vet (it took just over 2 hours and was the cost of a regular office visit) and we really appreciate the care we received.

My puppy had a strange swelling on her face, unsure and nervous I took her into Cascade Veterinary. They were very informative, attentive and caring. By far the best customer service I’ve had at a vets clinic!

Fast ER service that was also attentive and took care of my dog even though he was very nervous with staff. I'm happy to have him back with the medication he needs a knowing he'll be okay.

Be patient. You will spend time in the parking lot, as they prioritize the cases according to severity, and will be getting to you as they can. Bring something to read, some food and drink, and be patient. They provide excellent care for your pet.

If you are in crisis with your pet I would not recommend coming to this vet. I showed up with my sick puppy and the vet tech that came out to get my dog from the car has no business interacting with dogs. This persons body language appeared as though she had no confidence with dogs at all and her demeaner was timid at best when she tried to put a slip leash around my dogs neck. She attempted this without first engaging my dog which resulted in her getting snapped at. I then asked if she could get someone else with more confidence to retrieve my dog. The tech then went inside and another tech came out. The 1st tech then came out behind her and my dog got agitated so I again asked her to go inside because my dog clearly has an issue with her. Moments after taking my dog inside the vet named Amanda came out and started to tell me that I made her assistant cry and that I should take my dog that was having a medical emergency somewhere else. I am now trying to find another ER to take my dog, meanwhile she is in severe discomfort which apparently doesn't matter at all to Amanda or the ownership at Cascade Veterinary Referral Center.

First experience was 5 stars. Second experience 1 star. Went fron plenty of communication first time to "wait in your car we'll call you shortly" then you sit for 4 hours before they call you when you could have gone home and not sat in a hot parking lot all day. The vet tech was absurdly rude for someone dealing with your sick animal. Definitely considering never using this place again for the $200 per hour waiting room wait.

Wow! Exceptional care, and very efficient! I called 10+ vets yesterday trying to find someone who could see my kitty for what looked like a draining abscess on his bum. Nobody, even other emergency vets, had availability. I called Cascade this morning and was told to bring him in. Given how many pets are needing care these days, I assumed my wait would be at least 2-4 hrs. However, Julius was taken in for evaluation, I was able to speak with the vet about his condition, and he was treated and discharged in less than 2 hours!! Going early in the AM was certainly helpful as they had less clients at that time. Either way though, I am incredibly grateful for the speedy and professional service! Thanks Dr. Blattner and team!

First off this vet is extremely overpriced, but I wanted good care for my animal. Upon calling and asking for a refill for my dog’s insulin, I was spoken to rudely. I asked for a supervisor and the girl “L” at the desk refused to give me the supervisor’s name and refused to tell me when they would be available. She said “why do you want my supervisor’s name, so you can lie to them?”. I’ve never speaken to a receptionist that is so unprofessional and rude in my life. Then their technician Chris got on the phone and also refused to give me the manager’s name for 5 minutes until he finally told me. I spent $10k with these guys in a few week period and this is how they treat their customers in need of help. Do not support or goto this vet, they are all about the money and not about helping the animal.

We are very thankful to the staff and vets at Cascade for taking very good care of our cat. When she developed some alarming health symptoms - and our vet of 6 years refused to see her on an emergency basis - we started calling around to veterinary ERs in our area. The first one estimated our wait time at 10 hours (note: not actually exaggerating there). When I called Cascade, they asked us a series of questions and conferred on the spot with the veterinarian before recommending we bring her in: thanks to that bit of triaging, we were the only emergency case there at the time. 90 minutes after we arrived, we were discussing our pet's situation with the veterinarian after he'd seen her (MUCH better than waiting 10 hours). Fortunately, it turned out she had a very treatable condition, and shortly after we were on our way home with medicine in hand. The fees were very reasonable considering it was an emergency visit. So, again, thank you Cascade, for being so accommodating and for taking such good care of our kitty.

They were busy and at capacity but they were still able to see my feline in a timely manner (within 2-3 hours). Everyone I spoke with was friendly and upfront.
