They were very flexible when I needed a few hours of doggy daycare while visiting Newport and the Oregon Coast Aquarium! If you’re traveling with pets but don’t want to limit your trip options, I’d highly recommend Moondoggy. They were efficient and caring with my dog.

Maria does a really wonderful job grooming our extra excitable Irish Doodle, Reggie. He always turns out exactly how we like him to look, and not one clipper/scissor cut yet! You can tell how much Maria loves her furry clients and they adore her back. I would recommend her for any size pup:-)

My family was vacationing near Newport recently and we were looking for a place to board our dog for a few hours while we went to the sea lion caves. I called ahead and the guy I spoke with let me know that they had openings. When I arrived, no one in the small lobby was wearing a mask and there were no signs regarding COVID-19 precautions. I tried to relax, because I'm on the anxious side (we have a 10 month old) and masks aren't mandated for vaccinated people... No big deal. Then the guy at the front desk (maybe the owner?) let me know that he wasn't vaccinated. "Why should I get the vaccine if I can still get it?" (Maybe so you won't be hospitalized or die if you get it. Or, I dunno, so you don't spread it around and kill people.) Maybe he felt the need to tell me this because I was wearing a mask? Anyway, before I could really process anything, he was HOLDING MY PHONE to look at my dog's vaccine records (ironic!). I had offered to email these to him over the phone and he said that wasn't necessary. I had zoomed in on them, but I guess he couldn't see clearly enough, so he took my phone WITHOUT ASKING and proceeded to zoom in and touch all over the screen. I don't think he was being intentionally inconsiderate. I think he genuinely did not understand that touching a (masked) person's phone during a pandemic, immediately after outing himself as an anti-vaxxer, was inappropriate. I try not to judge people and basically never write bad reviews, but this was a really weird and alarming experience. The services might be great, but I wouldn't know because I didn't feel safe being there. Or leaving my dog!

Everyone here is wonderful. I am so impressed with their easy gentle way with the dogs. My Leo is old and been thru serious trauma when I got him. They had him playing like a puppy.treated like one of their own.

I think she was nice to my dog and did a good job.

Took my min pinn in to get nails cut. Groomer split 2 nails in half and made a 3rd bleed charged 18$ and said I can't finish but you need to take her to the vet cause I can't stop the bleeding.

Very friendly. Fair prices.But they did not groom my Terriers ears at all or clean them! Even all the hair inside the ears wasn't touched! I thought that was always a package deal when it came to little terriers getting groomed. Like the bath, haircut, nails, cleaning up the bum area, anal glands, cleaning up a face area, and cleaning the ears! Right? Then I proceeded to get home and start reading reviews after I went there. Bad idea! The dude has severe anger issues! Its obvious of you read all the reviews. And there would be HUGE problems if he was mean to my pup. Just confused after reading some of the reviews why he wasn't turned in and investigated. Nit okay at all. It smelt like piss badly too! Dont advise anyone goes here!

This place doesn't seem like the place from the past reviews. We found the man working there very abrasive, uninviting, and distracted. We considered canceling our plans to leave our pup there for daycare after the initial vibes but didn't have other options. When we picked her up, they were nice enough to let us wash her legs off for free which we appreciated because the whole kennel area smelled like piss and she clearly had piss on her paws. She also had an injury to her eye with some lost hair below it. We're not sure what happened and just wanted to get out of there. We would not leave our dog here again. The price was reasonable but honestly I would pay more if they would be better staffed and improve the conditions and supervision.

I drove 30 minutes to get here before they closed, I got here 15 minutes before 4pm and they were already closed.

I have used them several times for both of my dogs. I have always been very happy with their work until yesterday. The groomer cut my puppy's hair shorter than I wanted but it will grow back. I will be bringing them back.

Very professional service. Grooming, daycare and training are all wonderful. My dog is always so excited to go to Moondoggy.

Jim always gets it right. I never feel like he doesn't know my dog and our schedule. The kennel never stinks and neither does Rocky when he comes home. Jim truly cares for his canine customers and their owners. Rocky loves to go play with his friends at Moondoggy

Luna, a smooth coated blue merle collie, has been bathed and groomed by Brenda at Moondoggie. Luna has had 3 grooming sessions in the last 2 months. Quarantine = stinky & fleas, now gone!

They did an amazing job with my timid little guy! He takes lots of time getting use to others, but I truly felt I could trust him with this business. Once I returned, I could see that he was comfortable with the professionals. Not only was this a kind experience for my dog, but it was quick and he turned out looking so handsome (and for an affordable price)!

Got Daisy nail clipped. Nails are done as a walkin. Which is awesome. Maria was great with her.

Very fast service very affordable there scheduling is workable great place

Jim is amazing! He is training my dog to not pull me while walking. After just 5 days I was able to walk him and no pulling. Truly a man who loves his job! I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. Truly caring people.

Affordable and fun for the pup!

Great facilities, and a very understanding staff. We arrived after the 5pm cutoff for the self-serve dog wash, but the staff were incredibly kind and allowed us to use the facilities to clean our three pups from their long day romping on the beach. We saw nothing but happy dogs, and our pups got to enjoy the drove home smelling like oatmeal shampoo rather than seaweed!
