Lots of nice pet products and great service. Also fun to walk through and check out the animals.

This place is great. They always seem to have puppies, have a great reptile selection, and they are the only place close to where I live that have Dubia roaches which a the best feeders for your little critters. An added bonus is they have a decent tarantula selection

Expensive, but good store with nice workers.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in but I stopped by the other day and i must say im quite impressed with how everything looks! They don’t have kittens anymore but they make up for it with the loads of adorable puppies. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and attentive. Especially the young gal with the pink crocs; she made sure we had everything we needed while unloading the mountain of boxes and answered all our questions without missing a beat. Such a rockstar! Will definitely be in again to get a few more things for the holidays, keep up the good work Critter Cabana!

got my grandson a gift card for Xmas...nice store..I was amazed at the asking price for dogs nowadays..holy cow!!!..You have to be a Rockafella...I hope those little guys have someone to play with while they wait for someone who's got disposable cash..

Got our Golden Retriever from the Newberg location and he’s the most perfect angel! Their vaccine records were up to date, he had already finished meds for Giardia and had photos of his parents so I know what he’ll look like when he’s older. We love him!

Not the place to go if you're looking for knowledgable staff or really any service at all

Always a fun place to pop in and view the available pets, and dream about taking home a puppy! They also have a great selection of pet food, accessories, and everything you'll need to bring home a new friend.

The guy working there didn’t help us for so long because he was talking to the other people about his personal life. and when we went over to ask him for help he told us to wait and he just kept ignoring us. then after he finally started helping us he was really rude and acting like we weren’t gonna take care of our pet. he was saying passive agressive things and he had an attitude the whole time. he has been rude when i have went here before but this time it was really bad.

We purchased a puppy and it was none of the breeds that they claimed it was. Did a DNA test to confirm this. Still have not received a response from the purchasing manager on why this happens. Not worth the $$$$$ if they can't get the breeds correct.

I have visited this store a few times and though I will agree with other reviewers that the staff is friendly enough, that’s not enough to excuse the fact that they still sell puppies. It’s unacceptable that this store feels it’s ok to sell ANY puppies, let alone selling improperly bred puppies & attempting to pass them off as quality bred, “from loving homes”, healthy AND selling them for $500+. Now, the price doesn’t bother me honestly, puppies shouldn’t be cheap since that would result people dropping in and deciding to “pick up a puppy” while they’re there. At least high price would make someone stop & think which is what one SHOULD do when bringing a new FAMILY MEMBER into the house. BUT, when I asked where the puppies come from, they staff said local homes. Oooook well, if that’s true, these are either puppies born because the original “breeder/owner” was not responsible and didn’t spay or neuter their dog and let it get with another dog which resulted in puppies OR these puppies came to be by someone intentionally breeding random mixed breed puppies and then selling them in a pet store!?! Either way, it’s INCREDIBLY irresponsible for this store to support whatever situation that brought a puppy to be sold from a cage in a pet store. My question is what happens if the pup isn’t sold and grows up!?! When I asked the staff that they said “they stay till they sell” mmmhmm, sure they do. After my questions, the staff was decently less helpful to me, especially when they realized I wasn’t intending to buy anything. That was the last and final time I will waste going to this store. STOP SELLING PUPPIES!!!!! Besides the puppies, the store is dirty, prices are expensive, selection is lacking and isles are messy and unorganized. This store screams the 1970’s and doesn’t seem to have been cleaned or updated since then.

It was chaotic and kind of dirty

Took my dog to get his nails trimmed and was very disappointed. The groomers did not ask me anything about my dog, his history with nail trims, weather or not he is a rescue, etc. Once the door was closed I could hear how the groomers treated him, they didn't realize I could hear how they were yelling at him and handling him. I heard my dog whimper in pain numerous times throughout his nail trim, and the trim itself is mediocre at best, rough torn edges, uneven cuts, and his dew claws were completely skipped. Won't be coming back.

Great staff, plenty of pets and supplies for everyone. Have been able to get emergency supplies for my saltwater aquarium here to include heater, filter media, and test kits. However, they do not carry saltwater critters. Always great to bring the nieces in to say hi to the puppies and the critters upstairs too.

We took our 70 lb. Labrador husky mix doggie in for a bath, deshedding, and nail trim. I believe the person who helped our dog was Lao. Our dog’s coat has never been shinier or softer and his nails have never been shorter or so well rounded compared to other dog groomer locations. Thank you! We will be back!

Love the experience of this place! Great and nice staff! Large variety of animals and pet toys Some animals look up not be the healthiest though and the prices are a little steep on some things.

I visited when they had 3 large breed puppies for sale, including a German Shepherd and Husky puppy. At the height of summer, these puppies were 'displayed' in small fish tanks, under a large strong white light which was extremely hot. They had almost no space to move around, no opportunity for socialisation and, both from observation and on touching the husky puppy it was obviously extremely dehydrated. It was listless and unresponsive, and it's nose was extremely dry and hot. It's water bowl was full of gravel from it's enclosure. The staff appeared uninterested in their condition and they were given no attention whatsoever.

Honestly, I was really disappointed in this place. The $1,200 mixed puppies (mutts) in pens were awful, I think the purebreds came in at about twice that. I'd be really curious where these puppies came from, it all looked like they came from puppy mills. (They actually have outlawed this kind of pet store puppy sales in many states. I wish they would here. It's inhumane and awful. People should go to reputable breeders or adopt.) We waited way too long for assistance, the reptile accessories were very limited in stock. (When we were helped, staff was very friendly, but gave incorrect information regarding Bearded Dragon care.) We were there to purchase food for our bearded dragon, and I was absolutely astonished at how expensive they were. I will not be back.

Crater cabana is a place to visit when we are out and about in town. We love visiting all the animals. They even let me walk one of the dogs for fun! The tortoise is always fun to say hi to. Staff is friendly.

This place… ugh… it’s been around almost too long. They used to be legit(kinda) when they were mostly reptiles. They hire teens that know close to nothing. They buy the puppies from I guarantee a guy named jimmy Mack. A pet store should NOT have 37 puppies! THIRTY SEVEN!!! (Wilsonville) this was just last weekend when I went in and was disturbed. Y’all are close to having me call animal control on the condition of these puppies. The Newport pet store was shut down quickly for this same thing..along with scamps and animal house in milwaukie.the owners in whom I do know, should care a little more about the health of these critters and less about profit! Also… doesn’t make much sense to charge one price at your newberg store and one price at wilsonville for the same things. People will notice!

Prices are practically equivalent to Amazon for our cat food, but the other items like dog toys can be a little pricey compared to Pet Smart and Petco. The staff really care for the animals, and having the in house grooming service is a life saver.
