You Dirty Dog Mobile Grooming Spa Milwaukie, Oregon

Never used service; this is about safety and professionalism while driving a large van. I watched the driver repeatedly swerve out of their lane and almost hit a parked car all while texting on their cell phone. It is illegal to text and drive and grossly negligent to do so while operating a large professional vehicle.

I wrote a review for "You Dirty Dog PDX", not this business, "You Dirty Dog Mobile Grooming," which I have never used. I think it's lousy that this business took a name so similar to the company that does such excellent work. It seems they are trying to build their business from someone else's good reputation.

I have been using YDDPDX for years now and have had a wonderful experience, actually my yorkie has had a wonderful experience. Trina is her usual groomer and is very attentive to any concerns/suggestions. Tinker Belle doesn't do well in car rides and after years of stressing her out traveling to and from the salon, I found You Dirty Dog of PDX. Trina spends the time with her and has given her special baths that require time for medicated shampoo to work. It is so great to have them come to my home and take care of ME and Tinker Belle. I have her groomed monthly and it is well worth the cost.

Cecil is an adorable rescue. He has past trauma and regular brick and mortar groomers and vets are a no-no. We have been super impressed with Christina and her dedicated team. While Cecil will probably never look forward to his grooming sessions, he’s always treated with love and gets a wonderful groom each time. We couldn’t be happier!

They did full groom and did a fantastic job! I will definitely use them again. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Have used them for years. They always show sensitivity to our dogs’ individual temperaments. Always make the girls look great! Show up on time.

Totally unreliable not professional confirmed appointment by txt next day didn’t show up said they knocked the appointment off because they couldn’t get ahold of someone when no calls were missed gave second chance said be here by 12:15 told them had to take son to work at 1:40 no one here called at12 running late then called at 12:30 1:00 finally at 130 told her I had to leave in ten minutes said on way waited till 153 no one here son late for work didn’t get call till I was almost home at 225 then tried to charge more then quoted don’t waist your time here too expensive and unreliable

My 16 year old girl was fired by our regular groomer because she was becoming to “difficult”. I hired Dirty Dog to come to my home and they were wonderful! My girl was comfortable, they sent me pics while they were grooming to keep me updated and it was an amazing experience. Have been singing their praises to everyone.

They did a good grooming on my sister's dog. They arrived on time.

The best groomer I have ever used for my 9 year old maltipoo! They answered the phone promptly, did a great job on the haircut. Her nails were cut perfectly. They even sent me pics along the way! Will absolutely use them again!

My seven year old labradoodle, Winston, just finished his first grooming session with You Dirty Dog Mobile Grooming Spa. I would like to note that before leaving this review, I called the owner hoping to find some resolution. Alas, we are very disappointed with the communication of price and delivery of service. I was quoted ~$140 and was charged $240 before tip. I am told this was because he was matted and required two people. Winston is a rescue dog--very sweet and well behaved. He also has anxiety and is sensitive to the dryer and ear cleaning portions of grooming. We are always transparent about this with our groomers. Apparently they charge extra for that FYI. When I spoke to the owner there was no apology for the miscommunication of pricing--paying more for matted fur (he was not that matted as he was groomed just two months prior) and for two groomers. She preferred to tell me about how that is the normal price for doodles in Portland, he was matted and blah blah--this is false because we have had better experiences elsewhere. I would never, have never and will never again pay $250 to groom my dog. We have paid far less, not waited any longer (they took less than two hours) and had a much better experience at U Can Do It Dog Grooming and Play and Chase. Plus, his head and tail are too long and bushy compared to his body. I was so overwhelmed with the pricing that I just let it be. We wanted mobile for convenience as we have a newborn at home. The stars are for the groomers who seemed qualified and shouldn't be blamed for poor communication from their owner.

Is hard to contact. Only a phone number to call. It rings until it disconnects after 80 seconds. No answering machine to leave messages on. No e mail listed. Would really like to find her.

I am so pleased with the service that we received from Dirty Dog. The groomer was courteous and attentive. She asked me for my concerns and wants and was very thorough. My pup looked fabulous!!!

They did such a great job. It was a little more expensive than other groomers, but WELL worth the extra. They really know what they are doing.

You Dirty Dog Mobile Grooming did an amazing job with my pup and my roommates dog. They were easy to book with, communicated well, and both our dogs were happy and smiley after the groom! My dog is an Australian shepherd and I am very picky about getting her groomed. There have been some bad experiences in the past. Both the owner (sorry, I don't remember your name!) and Brittney the groomer were very knowledgeable on how to groom an Aussie. Brittney did an amazing job on Cinch's hair cut and getting nots out. Cinch looks fabulous. They also were very thorough on examining the dogs and pointing out any possible concerns (scabs, bumps, and teeth). I will defiantly be using there grooming service moving forward! They take photos of them both wet and dried and send them to you! Look at the smiles on there face, they definitely enjoyed being pampered.

I tried to tell them that my Husky has a thick undercoat and that past groomers have had shampoo stay in there and irritate her skin so be sure to rinse and dry her thoroughly. Even after warning them that this happened they committed the worst foul of any groomer I've ever had. A large chunk of Shampoo was caught on her rear leg and was dried into a thick sappy substance by the dryer. I didn't notice it that night. The hair started falling out in patches the next day. My dog now has a 4" round black hairless spot on her left honch where the skin was irritated by the shampoo. Due to the skin turning black, I took her into the Vet's office today and the Vet diagnosed her with a Plyoderma Staph infection localized to that one spot. I am not sure if the groomer caused the staph infection in the van or if it was because we went camping a few days later but the staph infection is only in the area where the shampoo irritated the skin. Caused it? Maybe. Made her susceptible to it by destroying the outer protective layer of skin? Definitely. A $135 dog bath and now a $250 Vet bill..... Awesome. All Portland Dog groomers lost my business due to this incident. I just bought a great dog dryer for $70. I'll never take my dog to another $135 bath ever again. Update Post Owners Response: They didn't warn me about any findings post-wash. It doesn't matter what kind of Shampoo you use, if you leave it in there on the skin (like they did) it will burn the skin. Yes they told me about Gabriel park vet clinic because I was new to the area but please do not dismiss this as I was an irresponsible dog owner who did not check her skin allergies and that's why this is happening. A Plyoderma Staph infection is not "skin allergies."

Our dog comes back smelling so clean and fresh. They are also flexible with scheduling and trying to fit us in. I would highly recommend their service to everyone in the Portland area.

I have had the most awesome experiences with this company. They are quick to respond and I had a recent death of my 18 year old shih tzu and they were so accommodating. They found a actual bite from something on my Lilly another shih tzu I didn’t even know and owner immediately was dispatched and action was taken. Thank goodness for such warm, caring, compassionate people. Today, was another great experience with Chris and her groomer and they did a fantastic job with Lilly. She is even getting a professional portrait done. Thank you again for another pleasant experience.

This was our first experience with mobile grooming and it was awesome!!! They were so knowledgeable and gave us so many suggestions on everything from grooming to important health care for our puppy. They also were sending me pics of my puppy while they were in the mobile grooming van outside my house! Awesome job!!! I will definitely continue to use them.

Brittany, groomer and her helper, Joanna, were very personable and did a great job on my rescue, up from California. I would recommend them and will use them again.

Brittney and crew does such a great job with scheduling, reminders and updating us if anything changes, They are fair priced, take great pride and care with our very friendly Rottweiler Bella on what we call her spa day. Thank you guys so much! We highly recommend their services.
