Kaida can be skittish but she was fairly comfortable with the environment and staff at Bliss. The external entrance door to the examination room probably really helped with that. No walking through a waiting room with strange people and animals.

Dr. Bliss, if you can call her that, is there for nothing but the money. She talks above you, rather than to you. I was shocked by the cost of the procedure she was recommending, and when I informed her that it was out of my price range, she acted like I didn’t care for my dog, and gave no other alternatives. I’ll never let her touch Bella again, she doesn’t even seem to like animals, and Bella deserves better. As I was in the building I heard her talking to her staff, and if I worked for her, I would walk out on her. Either the staff are incompetent or she has no respect for her workers at all. I debated on whether or not posting since it was a little while back, but I feel like people need to be aware of how she treats people. She is beyond arrogant, far above what her actual skill level is.

I used to live in the Rogue Valley, my Rottweiler needed entropy surgery on her eye. The surgery was $2,000+. We now reside in North Carolina. The vet mentioned that she might need another entropy surgery ON THE SAME EYE. Here's the kicker, they quoted me a price on the surgery... $275. Bliss has a nice facility and great staff, but 10x the price? They charge this because they're the only game in town. I would shop around on prices, it might be worth the drive to Portland to save thousands.

Dog had a porcupine run-in that left quills in her eye. After a few weeks of continued struggles with her eye, I found Dr. Bliss to put an eye specialist on the job. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They really care about the pets. In two sessions, Dr. Bliss found quills lodged in her third eyelid, causing additional damage to the cornea, and removed them. She's doing much better now. I might invent eye issues just to trick them into becoming my regular vet. Highly recommend.

Everyone at Bliss was so friendly and professional. They treated our Augie so well. He loved the visit. I think they spoiled him. We got in right away. Their use of technology is fantastic. If you need and ophthalmologist for your pet, I recommend them.

Being told your loved one (even if they are a dog) needs surgery is always a rough time, and the attitude and attentiveness of the people performing the surgery is of the utmost importance. I brought my dog to Bliss and was told that she would need surgery the next day. I'm glad it was at Bliss! Here's what I liked: The doctor explained the situation to me and my co-parent without talking down to us or being at all condescending; they seemed to genuinely care about not only the well-being of our dog but ours as well; they've been great about not only calling to follow up but also answering all our post-surgery questions in a very timely manner; we got a card with personal notes from all who work there; and, finally, it's all women! What I didn't like: The one thing I didn't like about my experience at Bliss is the same thing I don't like about my experience at 99% of doctors. They were the only people in a couple hundred mile radius who had the skills to help my dog, but if I couldn't come up with over $3000 (quite a hefty sum of money) they would have turned their backs and let her potentially die. I'm pretty sure this goes against "do no harm." That said, if anything eye-related ever happens to an animal in my care again, I will not hesitate to bring them to Bliss.

Very caring of your pet. They get their own private room. My cat was ok there. I got to carry him to his room then met him there when they were done. So nice to have this kind of service for your pet. Very caring.

Unfortunately we had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Bliss and her veterinary eye care clinic. My kitten has had an eye discharge intermittently for the last 10 months. He was treated at his regular veterinary clinic in Ashland twice, both times we were given the exact same meds. Once I was given an ointment that we used 1 time. He immediately removed the ointment from his eye so we went back to the drops. The discharge failed to respond to the drops this last time so we made an appointment to go see Dr. Bliss. Upon arriving there they ask you to remain in your car and call them. When I called they wanted me to download an app and check in for the appointment that way. I tried multiple times to use the app, no luck. Why this isn’t explained when making the appointment is beyond me. I don’t understand why a pet patient must wait in a car, uncomfortable and fearful while downloading an app that does not work. We arrived 5 minutes ahead of the appointment time, they didn’t come get my kitten until 20 minutes after we arrived. First, it costs $180 ($70 at his regular vet) just to walk in the door. Dr. Bliss called to say that they attempted to flush his tear duct but that he was uncooperative, so she felt an additional $250 test was needed, to see if it was a virus of some sort. She also stated that if she ended up needing to flush it in the future he’d need to be sedated or even anesthetized, a procedure costing between $500-$1000. I questioned the cost of the test and stated that it would likely be less costly to have his regular vet administer it, that I would quickly call them to check the price and get back to her. His vet charges $160 for the exact same test. $90 less. I called Dr. Bliss back, explained my findings and was asking a few other questions. I was seeking clarity on why the test, when she said she’d treat him for the virus regardless of the test findings, and because I’m not a veterinarian. I have a right to know exactly why she wants to do something to my pet, I wasn’t trying to be difficult. I’m simply a concerned pet owner who makes wise consumer choices as well. She became patronizing and condescending, stating that we’ve already “threw every medication at the eye besides the kitchen sink,” when in fact he’s had ONE medication 3 times in 10 months. I would go back to her out of necessity. That’s it. Overpriced and rude.

My English Bulldog needed a consult and procedure for bilateral distichiasis causing ulcers. Bliss went the extra mile to get us an appointment sooner than anywhere else. Staff were polite and seem to really care about their clients. They treated us with compassion and gave excellent care to my pup and to me. Highly recommend and so glad I traveled to come here. Thank you!

Dr Bliss and Dr Schorling are both exceptional. Each time we have been here we have been treated very well! All of the people we have talked to on the phone and in person are very friendly and definitely care about my dog Zack! They are very responsible and explain what they are doing and what our next steps will be for treatment. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Bliss, and her staff are nothing short of excellent. They fit me in on short notice due to the severity of my Boxer’s indolent eye ulcer. They performed a diamond burr keratectomy, and permanently fixed my dogs eye, which no-one else ever recommended. When I came in for a check up before it was time, because I was worried, Dr. Bliss looked at Ginger’s eye for free. When I had my scheduled follow up appointment, they charged me far less than the agreed amount. Thank you, Dr. Bliss.

Dr Bliss and her staff are amazing. Our lab developed cataracts very quickly after becoming a diabetic. One of them ruptured before we could get her into see Dr Bliss because of the Covid 19 shutdown. She ultimately lost that eye and had to have a lens implant on the other. She is doing wonderful and it's all thanks to Bliss Animal Eye Care. I'm so happy that we have this level of technology in our valley.

We were very pleased with Dr. Bliss' care for our dog. She was thorough, informative, answered all questions, and suggested some remedies to alleviate the dog's discomfort. We are also grateful that she and her staff were willing to set appointments in Redding to accommodate Northern California. A great match for a needed medical visit, and at a reasonable price.

We are so thankful for bliss animal eye care! Our beautiful kitty Mala was suffering with her eyes, and multiple visits to her vet to no avail. It only took one appointment for the answer we needed, and treatment to follow. She is happy, healthy and gorgeous thanks to bliss???????????? Their staff are amazing, down to earth and supportive. Although Mala is extremely difficult for strangers to handle, she came back to me relaxed and well on her way to recovery. Bliss also went above and beyond recommending some helpful tips for my err.. difficult kitty????????

If your animal has an eye issue, don’t waste your money going to a vet when you can come here! My dachshund got attacked by a cat and his eye was in horrible shape. Months of expensive vet visits, none of which treated his eye or helped him at all. I finally came to Bliss where in one visit they told me everything that was wrong with coopers eye and my options. They helped me so much and took such amazing care of cooper, I am so thankful for Dr. Bliss and the crew at Bliss!

Grace has/had glaucoma and has had problems, first surgery failed but Dr. Bliss and staff have bent over backwards to make the best of a not so good situation. They came in on a Sunday to do an emergency surgery on Grace. They have also treated us with kindness and great response to questions and text messages. I would recommend them to anyone that has vision issues with an animal.
